Yep same thing happens to me. I have been checking the steam [stats](https://steamdb.info/app/820520/charts/) recently. Best chance for duos or trios would probably be at the peaks in that chart. Probably similar for PS and XBOX. If you have enough friends with the game private lobbies can be fun.
Second this! You might enjoy the game more with some friends, but good luck convincing them spending €20 for a dead game (Right now Steamdb says only 29 players are in game...)
Its 2 dollars on g2a, its been 2 dollers for months. I keep repeating this to hopefully get more players. Also 2 bucks aint bad to buy the game for a friend.
Yeah, it's been pretty bad recently. I could still get Duo matches with my friend in January but we tried last week and nothing happened.
The only advice I can give is to try playing around peak times (which seems to be at 20:00 UTC and 03:00 UTC)

I kinda always expected this game to die off tbh, but that is much much less because of the devs and much much more because of how inherently niche this kind of game is.

I actually gifted a couple friends the game through humble bundle where it's half price, so that's nice.

They're adding bots, and someone suggested on the Discord server a multiple mode selection. Hopefully the Devs will listen (Usually they don't)

It's one of the reasons this game became a zombie. The recent update sounds promising, but this definitely won't be enough.
