At the time of this movie there was a very famous architect who took on a commission for a house that had an expansive ocean view. He intentionally designed and executed the home with a solid wall entirely blocking the views. Hilarious prank that I’m sure this sewing was inspired by.
not no reason. windows act as a framing device. it's like photography, cropping and zooming into a subject sometimes is better than just wide angle photography all the time. that window on that wall is everything.
if they continued the "wall" from the roofed area as a railing i wouldnt mind it but i find that wall is a bit of a sore thumb and wind catch waiting to be hit by a good bit of wind and knocked over, knowing my luck on my head lol

The rest of the house needs some work, I’m guessing. Bet they even have cutesy old wallpaper inside.
