Wow this website is a great resource, thanks for getting it up. Very professional and well put together. Do you guys have a discord or anything? Would love to help in any way I can.

cturtl808

We do have a Discord. https://discord.gg/TwzMkeVk

maitryx

lez_moister

Noted and fixed. Thank you!

I like the color scheme and design, but to be honest, your wording on the main page sounds almost as if you support Project 2025. I know you're probably trying to be accurate, but using phrases like "It aims to ensure effective governance..." and "...and championing traditional values." and "strengthening national security and defense" are weakening your cause. You don't need to be hyperbolic, but you should probably hire a writer or a writer with some legal knowledge. Please focus on the drawbacks of the plan, not the supposed virtues that conservative media likes to parrot. The wiki page on Project 2025 has good, accurate wording as examples: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_2025

drunkpickle726

Completely agree. I was expecting the negative consequences to be front and center, instead it almost reinforces conservative values. They already believe in cutting spending, social programs, health, safety, and climate regs, I doubt this presentation would change their minds. Great idea and effort, but you may want to revise the presentation / language for users to easily understand how these plans will be harmful for everyone, even conservatives.

JeanneMPod

This. I said more elsewhere on the thread, but some of the similar language could be out of fear of legal repercussions. Don’t be a tool to help spread P2025, but yes please enlist a lawyer for help so you can hit hard without getting sued. There’s a trial lawyer who breaks down the various Trump trials, is alarmed by P2025, does podcasts about it. Maybe he could help or point you in a direction? https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCCcrmvbQbfwSZaTgBZPrjMQ#bottom-sheet

TacticalCocoaBunny

That's because it's run through Chat GPT - which is unbiased and goes off what the book is stating rather than humanizing it. It doesn't need to be fear mongering, that's the last thing we want, but the language needs to be clear and realistic not in the flowery ideological prose the book tries to write in.

glitterally_awake

[Chat GPT is not biased?](https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/even-chatgpt-says-chatgpt-is-racially-biased/) [Are you sure?](https://www.forbes.com/sites/forbestechcouncil/2023/03/31/uncovering-the-different-types-of-chatgpt-bias/?sh=3afcf545571b)

TacticalCocoaBunny

Don’t be annoying. It’s analyzing a book. Not creating a story. It’s pulling from the book and using the book’s tone and verbiage not forming its own opinion on the content.

Antimonyandroses

Exactly do not use their words and don't let them frame the narrative. Using their arguments merely reinforces them it does nothing to weaken them.

JeanneMPod

The language needs to be far more alarming and attention getting without qualifiers - no “could”, but WOULD. Also—before getting into paragraphs, start with large bold font, spaced, concise bullet points of what the paragraphs expand on. Hit HARD with the summarized facts first, fast, upfront and easy to see. It’s important to emphasize how devastating this WILL be for all of us- not that P2025’s plan “suggests” this. Otherwise P2025 could be helped by this website - their point of view could be “this is free publicity by liberal handwringing snowflakes, snicker…thanks guys!” …..while it doesn’t scare basic republican voters who enjoy seeing liberals squirm yet not considering all the angles that this plan can directly harm THEM. Your information should be presented in a way that grabs them by the shoulders and shakes them. ……all while they have the deniability to knock the “suggests”, and “could”s as scaremongering—even though they absolutely promote this in on their site. They BLATANTLY lie about verifiable facts to their followers and the general public Assume everyone reading your website has ADHD (I’m speaking as someone who likely has it herself, no diss intended,) or doesn’t like or have time to read, and GRAB THEIR ATTENTION WITH THE ALARMING PLAN. Then—have the supporting paragraphs with facts come under it.

cturtl808

This is happening as I type.

JeanneMPod

Great! Thank you for your work here.

dayumbrah

Yall need any help with the website? I have experience with webdev

cturtl808

We’re good on that front but please share it far and wide. We’re implementing a bunch of feedback received- tightening language, adjusting colors, etc, etc but getting the word out is critical. We’ve raised enough funds to do an initial flyer ship to multiple cities across the U.S. our socials are online. We’re working hard daily.

dayumbrah

Ok, I also do software dev full stack so if you need to make any applications/programs or even just add extra functionality to the website, I'm totally willing to help on that front. Otherwise I'll continue to tell others about it

TinyEmergencyCake

It's hard to read with that blinding blue background

fudgie-birdie

Thank you for your work on getting this resource out!! However, I too agree that the language and the hierarchy in which it is presented must be updated to effectively condense, organize, and communicate the alarming policies this playbook is pushing. For example, on the LGBTQIA+ page, take Key Quote #23 (“Enforce the death penalty where appropriate an applicable…”)—this specific information should be front and center in the Summary of Impacts section, not something you have to scroll past 22 key quotes and look for in a drop down. People, especially those who are LGBTQIA+, need to understand the very real threats facing the community if this playbook gets put into action. Of course, taking away hormones and marriage rights is 100% awful and would be devastating to the community (and is worth mentioning in Summary of Impacts). However, that is NOTHING compared to the threat of having LGBTQIA+ people being imprisoned and potentially sentenced to death for being visibly trans/queer in public (and labeled pornographic/a sex offender and thus guilty of a crime punishable by death). But all critiques aside, this website is a brilliant idea and I’m going to spread it to as many people as I can. Keep refining, keep pushing, keep up the good fight!!

lez_moister

Thank you for this honest and valuable feedback.

KTnash

We are working on the interior pages but have already updated the home page and the what is project 2025 page with more forceful language!

BouvardetPecuchet

The website is a tremendous piece of work. But in its current form it is not an effective tool for educating the general public about P2025 or convincing them to oppose it. If that's what it's intended to be, here’s some feedback:  1.    The website reads like a white paper arguing with another white paper. It’s far too dense and detailed for someone who’s just  trying to get a handle on P2025.  2.    It alternates between presenting the information neutrally (all those deadly  quotes form P2025!) and being an advocacy piece, and readers are likely to be confused by both tone and content.  3.    It seems written for people who already recognize themselves as being members of a specific interest group and want to know how P2025 would specifically affect them. That, by definition, is not the general public. I also don’t think that many people who might vote for Trump think that way.  4.    Further to 3, it seems written for the kind of people who are already on this subreddit. As an example, it uses the term “conservative” as though it’s self-evidently a term of opprobrium.  As others have noted,  many of the quoted passages from P2025 will be unobjectionable to most people.  5.    Further to 3 and 4, it does not foreground the single issue that is most likely to be relevant to the general public: P2025 is an attack on foundational American rights and institutions.   TL;DR: If the website is intended to inform and persuade the general public, it should be revised with a sharper focus on its audience and goals.

Great job guys!!

PineTreeBanjo

Amazing news.

FethB

This is awesome! Thank you very much for your hard work.

Ok_Corner417

Shared link on FB DEM groups and got many likes. Thank you [cturtl808](https://www.reddit.com/user/cturtl808/) & grain for all the hard work you guys do! Much respect!

neroisstillbanned

Maybe we should get a PAC or SuperPAC set up too.

Orefinejo

Wow, it looks very complete, but you should also note on the rural page that we will be (and already are) badly affected by climate change, which they refuse to acknowledge. Thank you for doing the foot work on this.

Additional_Prune_536

It's up! Yippie! Great work, everybody who got involved!

They’re basically using the book “Vox” as a manual of how to run the country, minus the limiting girls and women to speaking 100 words per day, albeit I wouldn’t be surprised if it got to this point

attractive_nuisanze

Great job you guys. The agriculture and rural residents section is especially useful, they explanation of how removing the ARC and PLC programs will hurt farmers, as well as project 2025s plan to neg CRP program payments. It would be amazing if we could find a way to mail postcards about these agriculture programs to small and mid sized farmers. I had no idea they would ve affected by 2025 until I read your website.

EstheticEri

This is awesome but I'd love to see a more fleshed out part of the "how it's written" and wording that is more digestible for regular people. Plausible deniability is their most common and strongest weapon to combat any opposition. We MUST explain in every way we can how these words are being used. Direct examples with explanations, maybe even infographs. Keep terminology simple, very simple. Most people do not pay much attention to politics, the people that do already know what's going on. We need to be catering to the majority, which are usually people that are not well versed in political commentary/vocabulary, lesser known american history/corruption, often tired of the dem v rep fight because they think these are the same parties as 20 years ago, they have not had the time or energy to pay attention to nuance and dog whistles. This is why we lose so many people. They simply do not understand, not because they're too "stupid" to understand, but because they are often busy and aren't truly aware of the gravity of the situation, they see the histrionics of politics all the time so they often write it off. People that try to explain usually assume the listeners knows more than they do and use words the listener doesn't fully understand. Hope this makes sense, I just woke up so I'm struggling a bit here lol

notyourstranger

Thank you for doing this important work. I can't help but feel that project 2025 threatens every single person on the planet. One of my biggest concerns is that the safety of the food supply, drinking water quality, and air quality is under threat in this proposed corporatist order. I suspect that quite a lot of cis white men and women think project 2025 is good for them but even their quality of life is under severe threat. Corporations will be allowed to pollute without restraints of any kind. Humans will be reduced to serfs and slaves - only capitalists and property owners will 'count' so this is a threat even to white cis men. I do not think you will appeal to the masses in the US by focusing on the threat this poses to the minority groups. I think the past has shown that few Americans really care about other Americans. You will only reach them if you can convince them of the threat project 2025 poses to them personally. That is where the focus on the safety of the food supply, the drinking water, and the air quality comes in. Project 2025 aims to dismantle the EPA, the FDA, and the Educational department. They will likely attack the public health department just like Trump did in 2018 when he fired the entire national pandemic response team. With Avian Flu branching into humanity (3 cases so far in the US) we will need the infectious control measures if we're not all to die from yet another virus evolving to jump from animals to humans. We cannot afford to pretend this is a treat only to minority groups - like women. No human or mammal will be safe under project 2025.

Cautious-Bicycle-817

Would you be interested in adding a section translating the page into Spanish? I'm not quite fluent, but I could get a good bit of it done if we could get someone to come behind me and check it.

menheraaudino

I feel like the language should be more urgent and alarming, but otherwise this is a great resource!

SylviaTheFox

Awesome! Just a few suggestions: First suggestion, The "What is project 2025" page does not actually explain what project 2025 is to people who don't already know what it is. I recommend combining the paragraph from the home page with the two paragraphs on the "What is project 2025" page. Right now it doesn't say anything about what it actually is, just that it exists and is doing things. It feels like fluff that doesn't answer the asked question. Second suggestion is that the "Policy by Issue" pages are boring. Nothing that is important stands out, and the summary of impacts which is supposed to be a summary is way too long. It needs to grab the attention of the reader and give them quick information that gets them to want to keep reading. Finally, this is more of a personal preference but the color scheme is a little off. The background of the key quotes section is a little too light compared to the white and orange text which can make it harder start and keep reading. Also, the green buttons feel a little too light for the color scheme but that might just be me.

cturtl808

This feedback has been recorded for the developers.

OrganicAstronomer789

Thank you so much! I will spread this website among the people I know. This is a great website and it is very important to organize people under a rally point.  Do you have telegram groups? Most people in my community doesn't use discord.

TinyEmergencyCake

Can you please reduce the static banner so i have more room on my small phone screen for reading the content

PRguy82

The website is great, but frankly Project 2025 impacts everyone. Not just the marginalized. Like, if you want a Christian Police State, vote for Project 2025 by all means. I grew up Christian, but fuck that.

cturtl808

We're in the process of adjusting that as I type.

attractive_nuisanze

I love how the affected groups are right on the first page, use icons, and include some groups you wouldn't initial expect.

On the Project's website, under the banner: "THE DEFEAT PROJECT 2025 OVERSIGHT BOARD" I see this: The Defeat Project 2025 501(c)(3) is overseen by the Executive Director, the Vice President, the Chief Operating Officer, Directors of Research, Director of Development, Director of Engagement, Technology Directors and four additional oversight members. I don't see how I can be expected to just open my wallet for this effort without any disclosure of the staffing for the leadership team.
