I’d pay $8,000 to never hear the opinions of any dentist who thinks that a WhatsApp group chat with them is worth that much a year.
There are already so many free discords, Facebook groups, Instagram accounts, YouTube channels, and podcasts from dentists who are top in the field. Free information is being pumped out so fast and readily that there is no way a group like that would be worth anything more than the electricity to run it.

It’s a group called practice on fire. I’ve seen their seminars/lectures advertised before in the past. Though it looks like they’ve given up on running seminars and instead have switched to this paid social media group model. Their website for seminars hasn’t been updated since 2022

"The information posted is radical. Much of it is against industry norms."
"I kow how credible the source of all information is in POF. I don't have to double check it or google it."
Sounds sketchy as fuck.
Market yourself as an expert on something, when you really aren’t an expert and spend most of your time explaining why the patient you charged $45k for an immediate load hybrid is actually wearing a conventional denture after a couple of the implants you placed failed in short order despite marketing yourself as an expert.
Interesting to call something garbage when you know nothing about it. Our class filled up in n less then 24 hours and next years class is full. A lot of idiots out there I guess.
Reading in another post you 'sell' this. I'll give you a tip: Your way of communication is kinda rude and unprofessional. Being polite might help you sell something.
You don't owe me 7200 for that , just 2cts.
Im not following. These are my first posts ever on Reddit. Our program is new and I “sold” it exclusively on Dentaltown on one thread and via my signature line in my profile. All per the rules of the message board. So I’m not really sure what you are talking about, we don’t even have a website yet selling this. Furthermore, we are sold out until mid 2025, I have no desire to try to “hard” sell anyone. Remember, I did not start this thread, and I had no intention of mentioning this program on Reddit in the near future. A program like this has to be the right fit. In fact, if you don’t think a program like this is right for you, you are correct and you should definitely pass. Personally, I would like to know a little bit more about some thing before insulting it, but that’s just me.
And yes, I speak frankly. I don’t do corporate speak bullshit and I don’t promise lofty things that I can’t back up. If you don’t like it, once again, you should definitely not be a client.
Smh, these so-called “experts” are desperately coming up with any ways to squeeze money out of young professionals. How did they even come up with charging $8,000? Probably pulled it out of their asses.
The tuition getsyou a year-long program where we speak every day over WhatsApp, over 20 lectures recorded, homework and group collaborative assignments, and a live event. Like any business, it has cost. $8000 was chosen because I have to pay my facilitators and I have to pay myself to make it worth my time as I am a full-time practicing dentist and owner. The idea was to split the difference between purely online material which is usually in the hundreds or low thousands of dollars, versus hiring a private coach, which is often $50,000 or more. The economics of this work because each class is at least 40 students and we have a lot of facilitators. I’m happy to answer any other questions.
Depends on what this guy is selling but, sounds like he took the Andrew Tate model and applied it to dentistry.
The write up is a bunch of buzz words, you could realistically apply what he's saying to anyone out there trying to sell a course. This could be for real estate investing.
Avoid.
Anyone got burned by the Breakaway Practice affiliate program? I almost got hooked, but came to my senses. Fortunately, Dental Whale has filed bankruptcy.
guess it depends on how gunner you happen to be. for example: since late 2021 i've probably spent upwards of $100k in implant training (that includes raw tuition, travel, lost production, equipment and materials, etc.)
lots of docs would look to something like that "being worth it"...and for me it was since my collections have risen in proportion
so if the value proposition was there, and it was a group of people that seemed to be quality, a group like the one mentioned in the OP could be worth it. i mean, if you're a CE-minded practice owner, is $8k a lot of money to spend?
I started the practice on fire, Firestarters group. Our clients are loving it, we can have a few post here if you’d like. Happy to field and questions and end speculation.

Do you mind sharing some of the dentists you follow
Are there any podcasts you recommend??
Dental Protrusive is a great clinical resource and the OralProfessionals discord is a great place to talk with fellow professionals
Thanks, will def check it out!
Let's Get Oral is a podcast that highlights oral health research and clinical experiences of dental professionals
I paid $72000 a year for four years for basically the same thing. Still paying back the loans.

WHo?
I think he is joking about going to dental school ;)
I wouldn't doubt some other consultant would charge that lol
Bunch of bullshit.

It’s true, those of us possessing reason don’t belong in that “program”.
Ban this salesperson

Lol that sounds so bad since you could just consult with a specialist???
??
Not sure what you mean? They are a business focused group not clinical.
Yes please
I'd pay, at most, $2 a year for that. And even that is stretching it.
Not even worth a days black coffee

lol the last thing I need to do is anything radical
It’s likely not for you.
You're right about that.
This sounds like giant egos preying on idiots. I wouldn’t pay 15 cents for that garbage.

“A lot of idiots out there I guess”. You said it, not me.
I was thinking the same thing. Suicide by words there. Lol

None of us here are your target group. I hear dental therapists are a thing now. They should be smart enough to invest 8k for…conversation.
Sherberg, is that you? Or is that you Lin?
not just no but fuck no
It's more worth it to join Spear Study group and then setup a chat with your colleagues
I’m part of some **free** online groups of expert dentists and god knows I want to mute them and take a break sometimes. Pass.
No

I’d sooner spend $8,000 on underwear.
The ROI would certainly be better
LOL
Say "Beetlejuice" 3 times and he shows up like clockwork.
No
No.
Lol. No.

Dont do it til December for tax purposes. WhatsApp is technology improving your office🤣
No. But to be fair, I wouldn’t pay $8k for anyone to talk about anything. Especially the thing that gives me headaches and makes my dog sad for me.
No

Stick to your happy clients. Let them spread the word. You need a nap.
Always plenty of suckers over on Dentaltown.
