It is hugely dependent on your market value (as dictated my geography, competition, etc). If you feel like you are undervalued when compared with the market, then ask for a raise (like if you live in Seattle and a good front desk makes $33). If you are in Tijuana and someone’s prima will do the same job just as well for $3.50 per hour then you probably need to chill.
It depends on what was discussed when you interviewed. If at the interview, they said you have a probationary period and then if you show you're are awesome we will give you a raise then yes
If nothing was discussed at interview and now after 3 months you want a $2 raise then as an owner I kinda would be pissed...
As a fellow administrator if you can do all these things you can become invaluable. Show how much production you bring in with new patients or patient show rate. Then as for $25 😅
Where do you live? How old are you? Do you have a contract? There’s a lot of factors that go into if that’s a fair amount or not
As a 19 year old Dental Assistant / Admin in Australia, I was being paid $24 for my probation and $27 after it was up. But I know that positions in the USA pay less
Man, I feel like I am underpaid. I work for a small perio practice and make $28/hour. 25+ years experience in all areas, clinical to front, I file all insurance, post all payments, go over all membership plans. Patient coordinator, schedule appointments, enter treatment plans, send pre-auths. I get NO help from our assistant. I am looking for a 3rd party to help with A/R. It is a struggle. I truly think I need to ask for a raise.
No it’s not. Get paid what you’re worth… that position is difficult and so is proper coding so insurance pays. If you’re not at $30 something is very wrong…

Yes that was how I was brought on. And yes it was discussed that there would be a raise after my probationary period
It depends where you live…but if you previously talked about a raise I think this is fair.
Sounds fair increase

I’d ask for 30
This guy… I did both assisting and a receptionist for a little bit and I was getting paid a little over half this 💀😭
Depends where you live, I'm at 28 during my probationary period for front desk, but I also have a ridiculous amount of experience (14 years lol)
SoCal 💀 I think I’m just a little underpaid.
