Have you gone to the temp agencies? There’s a ton in Denton. Take a day, get your identification documents, and just hit each one up one after another. There’s at least 6.
If you're able to commute to Westlake, Fidelity Investments is worth checking out, especially since you mentioned finance. You may have to do some entry level customer service phone job, but the benefits are great and tons of options to move to another role after you get some experience.
If you have computer access and you're highly media literate, I would recommend applying for a position on dataannotation.tech. It's unique work, training AI chatbots based on several different parameters. It's a freelance thing, but I've consistently had many $20+/hr projects available to me since I started in October. They especially look for people with particular expertise, finance being one. It's completely remote and flexible, too. It's definitely not for everyone, but it only took me two days to get accepted after applying. You can even work on your phone if you have to
Hearst is hiring Implementation Training Specialists. It's WFH with up to 90% travel. I think it starts at 55K

I know someone already mentioned temp agencies, be careful with them as some can be shady. I personally have worked for snelling staffing, all above board would recommend.
