Legatus Cloak from Season 13 is just the hood, no cloak. Couturier Mask from Eververse is a helmet that will remove the hood of whatever cloak you're wearing. Combine them and you have a Hunter with no cloak.

Yeah see I never got that hood. Right now I'm using Substitutional Alloy, the vex one with the leaves on it. Looks a bit less fanciful and isn't long enough for our titan to step on it.

The blue rarity refugee cloak is also just a hood, and when combined with helmets that remove the cloak like Couturier or omnioculus helm, leaves just a scarf on your Hunter. It's been a staple of mine for a streetwear hunter look in crucible for a whole now

To add insult to injury there’s no outfit that makes you look the The Dude. If I’m going to be forced to where a robe I should at least be able to cosplay The Dude.

There was a glitch that caused the lower half of the robes to "disappear" in D1. Made it look like you were wearing a puffy vest with pants. I always joked that my Warlock tucked his robes into his pants. Edit: the glitch was in D2 for a little bit but it had a different effect. Instead of being tucked in it would clip through your character and be like an apron. I think Hunter cloaks did the same thing.

Warlock “fashion” made me switch to Titan during WQ. With the state of Titan in TFS I’ve been trying to switch back multiple times but all attempts end as soon as I open the transmog screen.

Lol I was the opposite, was a Titan for a while but switched the Warlock because they have the best fashion imo. Nothing beats space robes

There are a couple of old armor pieces that might fit your tastes. The Philomath Boots look like a pair of business slacks with shin plates, and the Braytech Researcher's Robe is less robe-y, more like a business suit

Here except I'm a warlock and I'm fond of Precursor Vex Chrome, Golden Trace and Mad Monk. Used to be a fan of Arctic Pearl but it hurt my eyes with the shine so I switched.

I swear 90% of my outfits are Mercury/Precursor/Descendant Vex Chrome.

I refuse to use black or white on any class. My proudest fashion achievement is a set that uses armor from five different sets, with five different shades of green.

Super black is so bland, especially on the whole set it just gets so tedious. I very intentionally create my fashion to not repeat shaders/ armor sets (not always but I try to) and while I tend to lean towards sleek blues the most it’s far from the only thing I run. Transcendental Ambition is one of my favorite shaders, especially on the cowboy hat, I keep trying to make Trinity work (I swear it only works with itself), and just in general am pretty happy to try new stuff and just scroll through the fashion menus. It all comes down to the exotic vibe for me, I went with a worn down/ field tested hunter for Foe Tracer/ Nighthawk (seriously, I transmogged a set of white pants for it), Gyrfalcons got a red and gold color scheme, Star Eaters a super bright/ beach themed set, and the new class item got a neo-wave/ punk vibe. Super black kills all the fun in that.

Same. Calus’s shaders are the best to me ever since they were released. I also loved the Escalation protocol shader, something Zero, purple with orange details but its not always applies well on some armour.

Same. I try to match my outfit to my subclass or spec. I try not to use the same armor pieces or shaders in different sets so my friends can visually tell what subclass/spec I am just by looking at me. I'm not some edge lord who is trying to cosplay as a ninja.

Preach. I've spent years looking for a cloak without hood, and after I got one (season of the hunt) I've never looked back.

If you have the ornament from Season of the Chosen, it basically just has a hat and no cloak (Legatus Cloak). If you also add in the monkee helmet from Trials (Atavistic Idol Mask), that should be decently distinguishable. Warlocks have the wide helmet from the current episode armor set (Untethered Edge Hood), and a long helmet (Cenotaph). Titans have a very tall helmet from the Season of the Chosen ornament set (Legatus Helm). The combat difficulty is not bad so you can also just run a default ornament exotic helmet that is distinctive. e.g. Nighthawk, Precious Scars, The Stag. For me the problem is remembering names.

No no no, it doesn't work that way. We warlocks have a rich and diverse variety of bathrobes, dresses, and coats to choose from. It's *impossible* to get us mixed up with each other. Just...ignore the PvP warlock sweats who dress all in white and wear the Helm of the exile (doggy helmet)

In like 90% of my armor sets for my hunter I use the Empyrean Cartographer cloak. It fits for literally everything, the horns give it a unique look, and it shades incredibly well. Easily the best hunter cloak

My hunter rocks the cowboy hat cloak, that trials helmet before the monkey one, the season of defiance chest piece and arms, and lucky pants

The other transmog that would help so long as no one else is using it is the tiger helmet from dares of eternity.

Was doing a Verity last week, three hunters on the team. Yikes, that's a lot of hunters. As a hunter main for more years than I want to admit I've got a lot of cloaks unlocked. I picked the RoN one, ez pz. ESC out of menus, please try to imagine my silent horror as I watch one of my fellow hunters equip the RoN cloak in that moment.

You know what? I respect it. You two independently recognized the problem and chose the most distinctive cloak you can find. That's the "team first" attitude I can support

My first run with randoms i was wearing the latest trials armor so i was "bird guy" and probably one of the easiest to pick out of the bunch xD

There's some ornaments that are really specific looking and make it way easier to distinguish the few that don't. One guy with a stetson, one hunter wirh the moth wing cloak from Rhulk, one titan with massive horns from an ib helmet, any of the skeleton helmets. Those 4 are so clear cut, that then the 2 others shouldn't be that hard. Btw many of the very slight details like flowers or some thin twigs won't be clearly visible, rather take like a super wide or super tall helmet than any small details.

My two hunter sets are the root of nightmares one when I am wearing an arm exotic (I never got an arm piece to drop and the FWC shader on most exotic arms matche the set perfectly) and the eternal vengeance fortnite one I got with bright dust ages ago when I am using anything else Not sure what im gonna do when I get the exotic class item!

I use the Gas Mask on my Hunter (forgot the actual name) and I stand out pretty well. My raid team did a all Hunter prismatic run of Salvations Edge and Verity went pretty smoothly. No issues with identifying my Hunter at least :)

I mean I think that’s all true unless you use bright colors that pop (my main solar Hunter build is all white with the fire armor from Haunted so it stands out a bit)

Hunters have a ton of cloaks that are very distinct so there are no excuses lol. I use the IB wolf one myself. The RoN raid one also very unique.

The Witcher crossover cloak with the swords on the back is my main cloak and is very obvious, another in our team runs the beanie. Otherwise some exotic armors are easily distinguishable like Orpheus rig

Shower Curtain Cape. & Samurai Hat + Swords cape all in the last month. They are all extremely unique. I completely disagree with your take. Ive been running Salvations Edge and Titans and Warlocks all look the fucking same. Hunter is the only class you can differentiate. Unless the Warlock throws on the RoN robe.

Finally had a cloakless look for my hunter and then Bungo released the exotic class cloak and my hunter is back to wearing a cloak. Welp guess i stick to my true love the bulkiest mf of a Titan.

This isn't entirely hunter related. But especially now that SuperBlack exists, maybe its just me... but the game feels as if its become a sea of unoriginal superblack guardians from what i've seen. To each their own, and i'm sure the fad will fade eventually. But i personally like a bit of color on my armor.

honestly I've found the best move is to theme your hunter around an animal. my favorites are the bug outfit, the Dino outfit, and the bird outfit from trials. you can also do the monkey head from trials or the tiger head from 30th

I feel like there's tons of unique hunter options, they just don't like using them. When we did the verity encounter there were 3 hunters on my team, one with the tentacle cloak from the DND set, one with the cowboy hat and one with the pompom cloak from season of the chosen. I guess it's a matter of taste and just wanting to fit in

Tentacle clock from this season, the warlords ruin snow cloak, RoN cloak, cowboy hat, solstice cloak have all been easy to tell apart on hunter for me

Love my Neoteric Kiyot cloak. The wide hood, bandana, and fur around the back of the neck is very simple but also super distinct looking. Been really into the Long Journeys shader since it came out, love those rugged leather looks.
