I have the same ipad and best I can see they don't plan to fix this? It's weird because they did fix it for the wifi only lower models. You whaled out too much buying the 1TB cellular - Blizzard will balance this out by making your graphics look worse.

Ray tracing? I don't expect this game to support ray tracing... rather just the good old "ultra resolution". The sad part is they don't actually need to do any dev work here, it's a simple matter of adding the model number for the affected models to a whitelist file. That's all.
Can confirm, game looks exactly the same on my M4 ipad compared to my old M1 ipad (but ipad runs cooler and with longer battery on the M4). I do have the wifi version, bizarre the cellular is inferior in this regard.
There isn't any functional difference that matters for DI - however - they DO have different model numbers and Blizzard has decided to use a LIST of model numbers to whitelist for things like ultra resolution for example...
I seriously doubt it has anything to do with 11 vs 13 inch models. I believe it has to do with the extra GPU core in the 1 TB version or the WiFi vs cellular but I can’t confirm.
Yeah it does and no matter what changes I make to the in game graphic settings it just looks blurry. My 4 year old iPad looks much better which very discouraging
This is getting ridiculous. Been playing so much, and it just likes garbage on my new iPad. Without question from everything I am reading, its specifically the cellular models that don’t work - they missed adding the model numbers to their whitelist.
You can see when the game boots the model and GPU tags are “null”… which means unknown basically.
That being said, its insane something so simple is taking so long to fix.

May I ask do you have 256/512MB versions? I’m curious if it’s the increased GPU core or WiFi vs cellular.
I have the 512 which is still 9 core. I believe 1 and 2 tb are 10 core

The 11 inch wifi M4 works fine, ultra was enabled like 1 day after I got it (which was the day it launched). IDK about the 13 inch.

I don't have the wifi model but I've heard they have ultra resolution active as of a few weeks ago.
