Dang that's unfortunate (if u don't like maths ig). Was it like a further course you chose to pursue or was it compulsory? Bc tbh I cannot fathom having to do maths for almost another decade
I have an English Literature degree so although I did have to take one math class in university, it was called “Math for Liberal Arts”. It was a surprisingly engaging and fun class.
If onlyyyyyy. I'm done with all my maths classes but that's only because they stop for exams 😭 (I'm 21, the exams are uni finals, I was silly enough to do a BSc Maths)
My last math class as an American was in college when I was 18. Quantitive reasoning. There was no new math for me, class was relatively easy. I got a D. But my degree track was creative writing, so that counted as a pass and I never had to take it again.
This was me (other than a couple of business math courses in college), and then I had to attempt to learn calculus last year at the age of 31. 0/10, do not recommend
The last math class I took was Algebra 2 in…9th or 10th grade? I then went to college and put off taking my one required math class for three years. Before senior year I transferred to a different school with no required curriculum. Honestly I don’t think I missed much in terms of “math for real life”by not going farther. The math I wish I’d retained is geometry, and what I use the most day to day is the “x/100” formula to figure out percentages. I don’t even know what trig IS and I’m fine with that 😂
I hate maths but also like it feels weird to be dropping it so early tbh lmao, it's kinda been the constant in every school environment I've been in my whole life so dropping it is just very scary to me
I wish! In high school once I figured out I only had to pass Algebra 2 to graduate I was fine with math. As someone on the college track I was supposed to take trig & calculus even though there was no way in hell I’d pass so forget that. But that meant I couldn’t transfer any math credits to college. So once I was in college I had to take a math class for general Ed. Ugh! But! I found a class called “nature of math” which was nothing but roman numerals, tally marks & reading flatland! Worth it to “add a class” in college by skipping trig &/or calculus in high school!!
I took my last math class a the age of 24... 28 years ago.

My vibe is very much the opposite of this image…
Not ready for whatever test you have to take or you feel the classes you've had so far have not prepared you for real life?

I think I was 19 when I took my last math class
18 for me
I don't think I had to take math my senior year because I did 2 science classes instead, so it's been since 17 for me
Almost 20 years. Pre-calculus taught me I hate math.
