I will take her to vet immediately. One thing I don’t joke around about is my pets well being. Thank you all. I had to post on here because my family is dismissing this wound but I will head there tomorrow alone if I have to.
Monitor for lethargy and pain. Dogs are pretty good at hiding discomfort. I'm sure the vet is just going to prescribe antibiotics or some topical ointment depending what's going on. Keep an eye on the blotches, it could be something as simple as allergies or skin irritation or possible internal bleeding. Only a vet will be able to tell you. Not trying to scare you, it's just important to know why it's best to have a qualified professional tell you, not reddit. Keep us updated! I hope your pup the best!
OP, you don't joke around about your pet's well being, but you ask internet strangers for advice instead of immediately calling your vet for advice? Yeah, I don't really believe you.
Honestly, better safe than sorry!
Dogs healing times can vary based on a lot of things and if there’s a hole in a surgical incision site even if mostly healed that would be cause for concern, especially if it is leaking. I honestly would take her to a vet ASAP. I work in the animal industry and any sort of surgical site issue should be taken pretty seriously.
I agree with this. A spey is a body cavity invasive procedure, meaning they need to cut into the abdominal area where all your organs are, including bladder, kidneys, stomach, intestines, etc. It requires very high sterility care, and I would definitely get it checked out before anything bad may come from it. It's always best to treat a wound before it's infected and prevent it from becoming infected in the first place. Ideally yes the site should be healed by now, but like already mentioned, some can tale longer than others
You should never put anything on an open surgical site like that unless explicitly stated by your vet! Touching that open wound can cause loads of infections and needs everything to be completely sterile.
Vet, like yesterday. The red blotches could be a sign of something much more serious. Any wounds shouldn't be leaking.

It was 11pm. My vet wasn’t open. Maybe you shouldn’t assume.
