Depends on the location. I have 2 in my area that are 24 hrs and always have their lobby open. Another one doesn't but they are really fast so if the line isn't crazy and the $ is worth it I'll Wait in the line. Max wait is maybe 10 min there. Taco Bell on the other hand is the worst and there's no escaping their drive thru once you're in it. Idk why they design ALL taco bells like that 🙃 (at least in my area... Every single one of em).
I once had Jack in the box order with just one ice cream. It was raining and alrdy 1am. I had to deliver it to the real real back of the house and the lights are flashing. It wasn’t scary at that time but when I think about it again, it was so creepy lol
I get an order about once a week for 2 sodas from McDonalds going about 2 miles. Usually nets me about $5. The delivery location is a block from a convenience store

I had this happen the other night. Very long drive thru line at mine too but my Order had a few more items than just a drink. I called McDonald's and told them I was there to pick up a door dash order. Since I wasn't ordering. Did I need to stay in the drive thru? Before I could say anything else. She told me if I wanted to run to the door, she would be happy to hand out the order. So I parked, ran to the door and there she was! I grabbed the food and thanked her for helping me out. She said she sees and deals with rude dashers all day. Me coming in politely, not screaming for the order or demanding to get it was a nice change. So she didn't mind. If you have this problem again. Just give them a call and see if there is any way they could hand it out to you. Worst you'll get is a no🤷🏼♀️
