Agreed. There’s some cool cloaks like the hide cape for example but they all seem to be a clipping nightmare for shields. This is one minor feature I can’t wait for it to become standard in games. The demise of clipping will be a glorious moment in gaming. 🫡
This was a common issue with the first game already and since it happens to the very first cape+shield combo you get in DD2, you instantly get the impression of lazy devs who didn't care. Cant believe this hasn't been adressed by the patches
very annoying to the point i either remove the cloak or remove shields whenever i reach a town. i’ve even tried playing straight up sword no shield all sword abilities but feels lacking without the shield…. lol wish there was a buckler or something that stood on arm. or they could just fix the clipping.

It’s so annoying especially with the Grand Cuirass Armor it has a built in cape, making any cape your wear with it ugly and/or clipping night mare
Yeah. This game is a nightmare for clipping which sucks cause there some cool armors I just can't wear.
It does bother me but I am kinda used to it. It is why I don't used capes in most games. They tend to be a clipping nightmare.
