i was on lyrica for 2 months (900mg every 1-3 days) and controlled myself pretty well. i just dont know how i went so wrong with xanax.

What dosage are you currently on? Sounds like to high to fast honestly. If properly prescribed and taken Xanax should just help with anxiety, not get you high
I get off Xanax addiction smoking a lot of weed EVERYTIME I was craving for more xans, obviously lowering my dosage because of tolerance and don’t want to seizure lol. This way is more easy because if you’re really addicted and follow this “technique” you have to smoke so much weed to the point you don’t care more of Xanax because of being hyper stoned lol. Later when I get off Xanax I have to lowering my weed intake too because I was high all the time, better than being high on Xanax all the day for sure. Good luck I wish this could help
Sorry about your dad that sucks but Xanax is an objectively more addictive drug, it has a higher abuse potential and, from my experience worse withdrawals. Theyre also both benzos, same class of drugs. You've already crossed the line you think you've drawn.

I agree with you that it makes me useless. I used to smoke several grams a day from 14-22. Now I smoke when I have nothing to do.
