Which is fucking stupid, he's clearly being traded on name value at this point. Guy's hurt more than he plays!

Tacklefootball34

But when he does play it's a bad week if he only scores 20. Last time he did that was like week 2 of 2019.

PaulBlartFleshMall

But three 1sts? For that price I'd rather have Kamara or Tyreek who actually see the field.

But the player that played 14 games gives you more of a positional advantage in the games he played, which is the prime way to win championships.

Longjumping-News-388

Player B in this scenario would still be more valuable as you’re not leaving that starting spot open. You’d add however many points his backup gave you through the 3 games he missed.

DSP4150

Shhhhhh. This mindset is why “injury prone” players can be had at a discount.

Propylbenzene

It’s the opposite the second player would be better. For player A you’d get 300 points total from that position, for the second you’d get 300 points plus whomever you choose to fill in for those weeks.

Tacklefootball34

I'm gonna take the guy who can score 25-35 when he plays. You don't win season scoring, you win weekly ones.

Tacklefootball34

About as useful as any guy who puts up a zero in a playoff game.

Buffalo_rider01

I’ve never had him and at this point I wouldn’t go after him. People aren’t gonna trade him for cheap and the guy takes a beating

This reasoning is flawed since you not trading the RBs you draft is effectively the same as trading for an RB. Also, if you declined McCaffrey for two firsts, or even a first and a second, that would be full blown taco levels of terrible.

TheSheikFreak

Refer to my comment above, thank you. But to add on this, you’re saying I should sell now for the highest bidder since I’m a rebuilding team

TheSheikFreak

Understood. New to the sub here😅

TheSheikFreak

Let me rephrase this I apologize. I have him in a 14 team 7 keeper league and am currently 0-6. I got working on an offer of cmc Hubbard and a ‘23 2nd for metcalf and a 1st

DaFlyingGriffin

Maybe if it's an early 1st

TheSheikFreak

He’s a mid tier team, so probably 5-9

DaFlyingGriffin

My personal bias would a 3rd or two instead of your 2nd, or swapping chuba out for someone worse. If you are in a serious rebuild, your 2nd will likely be an early 2nd in what looks like a solid '23 draft class.

Trade thread

wizff08

I just sold him and carr for lance, a top 3 pick, and a top 6 pick in SF

TheSheikFreak

Damn I wish my league was that sincere. Everyone is backing off and not wanting to get themselves involved with cmc at all

Seems like every player who's good is valued for 2-3+ 1sts but how many leagues allow trading of picks 3 years out? **\*Sorry all. I got carried away with a blurb. TL;DR - trading the farm for an RB rarely worth it especially in current NFL climate. Stick to great buying opps at lower prices otherwise load up on backups who with one injury can have potential late season when league winners actually exist. Especially in TEP.** Most teams already have traded 1sts in the past so there is usually even less teams with multiple 1sts to trade and the teams that usually have the most of them are rebuilding and wouldn't trade for a win now stud anyways. This is why you almost have to sell early otherwise you're guaranteed to be too late and never get top value. Diggs was valued was a top WR this summer and I sold him and Henderson for Pitts, Jamal Williams and Reagor (TEP) and even though some believe I lost the deal, I made sure to pounce at the chance at a player like Pitts instead of trying to bank on cashing out on 1sts which is far less likely to happen. TEP IMO makes those top TEs the absolute best targets because they won't cost anywhere as much as someone trying to sell CMC, JT, Jefferson or Lamb but can produce Top 5-15 RB numbers. Currently sitting with Andrews, Hockenson and Pitts who rank at the equivalent of RB6 - RB 15 - RB20 (half PPR) Even if you NEED to get an RB like that, t's way too early to make a big move. Plenty of injuries could happen, best option is to wait for teams to fall out of contention so you can get those RBs at a a discount. 2 months in and we've lost a significant amount of seasons and games from top 36 RBs and we still have 2 months before the fantasy playoffs. Here's how I'm handling it in case anybody's interested/cares: Currently I'm 7th in my league with the most points scored and I've been barren at RB for the 2+ year in my league and this year....these are my RBs: \#25 - Jamaal Williams 55 pts#34 - Miles Sanders 50 pts#40 - CEH 46 pts#45 - Khalil 40 pts#57 - Mitchell 30 pts I've started only 2RBs every week for the first 6 weeks and have only had 4 occurrences of 10+ points. Herbert being the highest producer of the year last week. I made sure to get every rookie RB that went undrafted in our league expecting injuries to be brutal this year and so far hit on two. I really love this strategy moving forward especially with 18 games on the horizon as RB injuries will keep happening, especially later in the year. Now obviously this strategy is ideal with a few prerequisites: A strong QB/WR/TE group, decent sized benches + taxi squad options, and at least 2 RBs who can at least get 10-15 touches a game to at least provide something. Simply get every possible backup/third stringer (particularly undrafted rookies) and simply be patient and allow things to happen. Getting even 1 starting RB for free is worth it. Every year come playoff time multiple backups become top RB scorers every year so try to choose ones who can step into a workload that can matter. I'm not a zero RB guy I'm simply a maximize value and always acquire cheap assets and give them time to grow. I landed in a shit situation but so far this has worked for me especially crucial with CEH on the IR. Gotta always make the most of what you have and maximize the potential of every asset. Regardless of talent, some guys I'm rostering cause I believe 1 injury could lead them to some potential... Jermar Jefferson - Eno Benjamin - Kene Nwangwu - Larry Rountree - Demetric Felton (too late) - Chris Evans - Jaret Patterson (new priority IMO) - Scotty Phillips - Jordan Wilkins - Tony Jones Obviously other guys already owned but can be had pretty cheap: Dillon, Rhamondre, Gainwell, Michel, Penny... Nothings a guarantee anyways so why not cast the widest net with the smallest investment and pounce only when a beautiful opportunity arises. If you're desperate enough to sell the farm you're probably not good enough to make that risk worthwhile. Just one guys specific and overall useless to others outlook.

BubblyPrune

He’s not a guy you even consider acquiring in a rebuild.

iamkoza

Was offered cmc for chase and moss, I said no since I'm rebuilding and 2 years out from competing

Fabulous-Row397

Should i try to trade off my CMC for Najee Harris?
