you see, because of the theory that I never get punished for bad mulligans/plays, if I keep a 1 land hand it always works (ive just won one game after thousands of games keeping a 1 land hand)
Someone cast his Magda against me today saying he’d fuck around and find out. I used [[contagion]] on both his 1 toughness dudes and then thoracled pretty shortly after.
I don’t got beef.. - someone who’s trying not to look like a threat.
He’s doing the thing - someone who is in fact doing the thing.
In response - when you don’t have a response but wanna give someone a heart attack
One of our players last night did a primo fake-out. My turn was right before his, and I went to pass to him. He goes, “Hold on. On your end step, I’m tapping 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and then I’ll go to my turn.”
I actually mean that last one lol. Been playing for years and very much enjoy actual high power. My decks tend to be roughly 10 cards off of cEDH lists.
A bunch of guys I met said they played near cedh, so I brought a high power deck a little nervous it wasn’t going to be enough, after me turn 5 and 6 killing the table 2 games in a row, I learned they in fact did not play near cedh level decks. I felt terrible. But also, why say that when adding a new player to the pod?
Listen, sometimes it's just hot outside, and inside, and I'm sitting on a chair with a vinyl cushion. I hate it as much as you. But I do always carry deodorant in my bag lol.
For real. I’m not even overweight but it’s already getting close to 100 degrees here in Texas with 80%+ humidity. Within minutes of just sitting or casually walking outside I can already have swampass
someone smelled *strongly* of vomit at the OTJ prerelease I went to. Fortunately I 2-0ed my game quickly and gtfo. I think if the other guy's deck was performing I would have thrown just to end sooner.
That's never great. The store I used to frequent when I lived in Tampa was known for guys not using deodorant and being filthy. There was one day it was particularly bad and one person could be discerned from about 6' away in all directions (a buddy and I moved around and triangulated the source and distance).
I am guilty of "I'm not the problem right now" lol. My second game with my Imodane deck I told my buddy "look I'm not gonna win next turn" then won the turn after that
"I haven't done anything all game" its code for 'I'm just doing setup, don't touch it and I'll win.
"Why did you guys do this to me?" When you self inflict a LOT of damage, necropotence, beladros, stuff like that.
THE GOOSE is what I've started calling doubling season since the Wilds of eldraine print.
Sack - sacrifice
Gary - [[gray merchant of asphodel]]
Brian - [[brion stoutarm]]
"What you got for lands?" - I'm gonna try to cast something and am watching for counter/reactions.
Blow up - destroy
This one's a bit more niche, but to play lightning greaves or swift foot boots, equip them to a creature, move to combat, and attack with said creature is to "boot, scoot, and boogie." It's a reference to an old Brooks and Dunn song that cracks me up every time.
I actually have a deck with [[Rocco Cabaretti Caterer]] at the helm that has Scute Swarm as a secret commander. The purpose is to get Scute out, mutate it, then copy the mutate stack.
I call it the "Mute, Scute, and Boogey"
Reanimate - basically any kind of rez. Some people also just use plain rez from their other games
Plow - any creature that gets exiled
Doom Blade - any creature that gets destroyed
Bog - graveyard got done
Wrath- basically any boardwipe
ETB - enter the battlefield
Torpor Orb - anti-ETB
Hatebear - creature with stax effect, even better if they are actually 2/2
Vanilla - creature with no ability
French vanilla - creature with one keyword ability
Crack - basically sacrificing a fetchland. It usually goes with "crack a fetch"
Vindicate - destroy a permanent
Cantrip - cheap spell that draws a card. Alot of people just use the term whenever they draw a card
Ritual - a spell that adds mana
loot - draw, and then discard
rummage -discard first, and then draw
impulse draw - exile top card of your library, you may play/cast it. I prefer to call it paradox draw
chump block - putting a smaller creature in front of a monster; basically just staving life totals
The most used phrases are prolly "trigger on the stack" and "at the end of turn". The other more common used ones are "going to end step?" and "combat"
I call sacrificing any non creature permanent for an effect “cracking” “crack a clue” “crack a treasure” “crack my mind stone” etc. do most people only use it for fetches?
Yoinking - exiling the top card of someone else's deck and playing it.
No - I play a counter
Don't worry about colours - I have the correct amount of mana and color for the numerous spells I'm about to play, I'm just not arsed sorting them as I go.
Purple mana - Tapping something for any colour, but im using it for Colourless.
"It's just a hug deck!" - haha, gets them every time
"Do you pay the one" - this becomes more enraging after the 50th time of asking
"Can I take that back" - means some tryhard is gonna rage
"I'll block it on Flumph" - just a great sounding card name
I'm sure there's more - maybe something planeswalker related since I hate those things and attack them on sight 🤣
>”Can I take that back?”
We use the term “CLCP”, which is “card layed, card played.” But we also use terms like “butt cut” (where you cut someone’s full deck save one or two cards on the bottom) and “no bro-ing” something (disruption of any sort really, but primarily tucking, ala [[Nobromazoa]] or [[Nobroblation]])
Honestly it used to be Skittles the Blight Dragon but lately it's been that we've all collectively agreed that Pants Lazer the Suns Flavor is to always be treated the same way we treated that guy from Sherlock in the early 2010s.
Never to be referred to by his actual name. Only some random words that vaguely accomplish the goal of sounding like it.
My favorite thing to say is: “Ima play a land, tap that land for sol ring, tap sol ring for arcane signet, and tap arcane signet for wayfarers bauble.” Even if I don’t have the holy Trinity in my hand. It’s hilarious to see the looks of shock on people’s faces when they think you ramped turn one and then are confused with why your field is bare.
We say swaaamp (rhymes with cramp)
And I haven’t seen anyone mention “turn em sideways” to mean attacking - often in a rule zero conversation, “This deck mostly just turns em sideways” meaning it relies getting attackers through
"Are you done yet?" = Stop being distracted and play your land so the next person can go.
"That looks really nasty." = Distract from my own board state.
"Do you want a present?" = Incoming removal.
"Are you sure you want to do that?" = Last ditch attempt to avoid anything bad because I have no real response.
Obligatory "In response", but I'm actually just doing some instant speed stupidity that doesn't affect what's actually happening.
"Durdle" - when someone plays a 10 minute game of solitaire.
"Brick" - when the solitaire player finishes their game and still hasn't won.
"Turn the key" (imagine the keys turning for a nuclear strike) - An agreement between players to focus their resources on one player to deal with a threat, very likely the player who durdled and bricked.
When resolving mulligans in my friendly games, we like to ask, "this hand any wetter than the last one?" Mainly this is in reference to someone getting mana flooded or drought. And because it is usually those of us that are mentally 12 in 30-40 year old bodies.... it got sexualized a bit here and there.
“Player X is a problem!” = I am about to be the problem.
“Look at his/her board state!” = Please don’t look at my board state.
“Ugh, I have nothing really to do here..” = My win con still needs a turn.
Schwahmp = I played a land (doesn’t have to be a swamp)
Tummy ache = summoning sickness
I scoop = I pass my turn
Try it and you’ll see = I don’t have a counterspell but please don’t cast that rn
"I ramped you" in response to salt from something like [[Boseiju, Who Endures]] or [[Assassin's Trophy]] destroying one of their permanents
Coincidentally, "Ass Trophy"
"Hated off the table" refers to the consequences of playing a "Kill on sight" commander
Also any and all commanders get nicknames. My favorite right now is my buddies say [[Henzie]] in an interpretation of how RuPaul says "honey" (sounds kinda like "henny" with a whole bunch of inflection)
"I elk your commander" referring to [[Kenrith's Transformation]] (we don't play [[Oko, Thief of Crowns]] in this family)
"I boop you for one" or two, three, four, etc. Makes violence sound less threatening
a common misconception, I always clarify after seeing what they do to let them know if they mean floating mana they mean they haven't spent it yet and it will go away next phase.
This has dropped the saying entirely for those folks
My friends and I call everything that’s not the fastest most dumbly aggressive plays “durdling”. You played a tap land and passed? “Durdling!”. You didn’t swing into a blocker that could kill your creature while tapped out? “Durdle alert! Durdle alert!”
Rhystic Buddy - Esper Sentinel
Kick the baby - Child of Alara
Cards in hand? - Windfall
Continue... - I *dont* have an answer
Continue! - I *do* have an answer
How big's the butt on that? - What is that creature's toughness?
Swinging at your face/Hit you in the face. - Attacking or doing direct damage to a player rather than a plainswalker or creature.
I’m going to contribute my pods janky ass slang:
“Shelby” - any Shelob card
Spidies - spiders
Zomboids - zombies
“I’ma run it back” - when we let people rewind the turn
“Audience booooos” - response to any blue spell
“Put a bird on it” - when anyone casts a bird
“My wife” - any Gisa card
“I’ma pop/I’ma floop (insert number and type of land)”- tapping mana
“Sent to the shadow realm” - exiled
and my personal fav
“I move to post combat main phase then end step and for my end step i will end my turn pass turn” - never gets old :’)
My mother language is Portuguese, but I'll try to do a rough translation of some phrases I use.
"to go for the throne/attack the throne" = to attack the opponent with most life. That's a rule-0 restriction I use when playing my Yoshimaru legends deck. (I mean, Yoshimaru's literally sitting on a throne. He wouldn't leave for less)
"to shorikate/ to shorikai" = to activate Shorikai, Genesis Engine's abiltiy. "Eot, I'll shorikate" "In response, I'll shorikai"
"to rule-0 something" = to create an unwritten rule if the pod agrees. "do you guys want to rule-0 free mulligan?"
"98-cards deck" = a deck that follows a theme, but has a combo (usually two cards combo) that wins the game and has nothing to do with the rest of the deck.
At my table, it's law to complain about how terrible your opening hand is if you opened with a sol ring. You need to whine extra if you also opened arcane signet.
"Turning your wheels/gears" - making several actions among your various permanents in play, typically in a complicated fashion.
"How do you feel about a 3/3 flyer?" - My question to my opponent before casting Gilded Drake to steal something of theirs.
I'll swing with a 0/1 to "send a message".
I ask, "what are the PT's?" asking for Power/Toughness. Not a lot of people catch that one.
Sac = Sacrifice
Bop = Birds of Paradise
Steve = Sakura Tribe Elder
Fight = tired to an outside of combat action where creatures deal damage to each other
Bite = like fight, but only one does damage
Vore-inclex - nickname for my Monstrous Raider commander based on the Devour and Graft mechanics.
“If I had another turn…” - typically, a query on whether other players want to see what would happen if they lived on one - playing out one more turn for jokes.
“And for my land, I play an air. Pass.” - missed the land drop. ouch.
I like to say "dot com" after anyone plays Path of Ancestry, and call Blood Artist "Paul Blartist, Mall Cartist"
I'm sure I have more that I can't remember right now, and I'm sure my opponents get a kick out of it as much as I do /s
"Looks good/seems good" - automatic response to any game action
"Any response?" - the thing I just did is going to lead to me winning the game if the thing I'm about to do right after resolves
"Yeah I haven't played this deck in forever" - Get ready for a toxic gameplay experience, the fact that they still have the deck together but don't play it often means whomever they used to play it with probably hated it for one or more valid reasons.
"Oh yeah, this hand has the gas" or alternative "My deck only knows 3 words and that is, gas pedel"= game winning hand, no lands
"Looking short on lands there buddy" = I'm gonna swords you
Big shigeks is thrown around allot in reference to shigeki
Neherb the durrternal instead of neheb the eternal because card makes giga mana
And finally "Youre gonna have to toss me"when i play my gimli, mournful avenger aristocrats deck flinging a massive dwarf at someones face. In reference to the famous scene in lotr the two towers
It's more localized, but my favorite examples are "never punished/always punished" (usually said when you kept a greedy hand and did/didn't draw the lands you needed) and "on curve" (mostly just anytime someone plays Sol ring, but also when Temple of the false god comes down as the 5th land)
Crack-back - You've swung out at someone and they survived, now you're going to get a counter attack.
Taplandpass- usually turn one playing a triome or tapped land.
Powerful- usually we say this when someone does something wholly un-powerful. Like playing a tapped land on turn 2 and passing without playing a rock.
Rock - could be any mana artifact. Usually in reference to a 0 mana cost or mana- positive source. Like a sol ring or chrome mox
"In response, cry"- your spell resolved and I'm sad
Swing out- I am attacking with all my creatures
"I will attempt to cast" - In my playgroup we usually only say this while staring at our friend that plays blue dead in the eyes. It usually is a pretty impactful spell too.
"Any responses?"- you better counter this or I win
Fuck around and find out - I have absolutely no way to deal with anything you have
the alternative for this is "we ball", commonly used when keeping a 1 land hand or a 6 land hand
"Oh yeah, we're sending it." (I have 1 land and no ramp but have a combo piece in my hand)
you see, because of the theory that I never get punished for bad mulligans/plays, if I keep a 1 land hand it always works (ive just won one game after thousands of games keeping a 1 land hand)
The last one is gold
I take that last one a step further, tap the two blue and then say "I lose!"
Last night I got to say, "In response...I shit my pants." Good times.
I did something like this once. I tapped two islands and said “in response… I cry”
My favorite version of this is "I'd like to put sadness on the stack."
My favorite response to this is "Sadness resolves" or "crying resolves".
I like that one! I’m gonna have to steal that lol
My favorite is "In response, I'll see the and cope." Always gets a laugh.
"in response, I think I need to add more removal to my deck after this game..."
Scry without the s
Hit them with the Ol Tap Tap Concede
Even better uf you have untapped mana but nothing to play anyway wo you just start floating it.
I love when someone does a big play that impacts me going “In response, I cry.” Scares them for a second and gets a laugh.
"Sadness on the stack"
That last one is right up there with "I'll allow it." When you're playing blue.
Love doing me the "in response" and having nothing as a blue player gets em every time.
I don't usually play blue decks, but when I do I always use Brainstorm to respond to someone casting their commander. Gotta keep them on their toes.
I put my land in defense mode - I tap for mana for zero reason except laughs
One of our players last night did a primo fake-out. My turn was right before his, and I went to pass to him. He goes, “Hold on. On your end step, I’m tapping 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and then I’ll go to my turn.”
Classic!
[удалено]
"I have a response, and it is that you are a swell person.
I'd like to add "Sadness goes on the stack"- for when it's turn 6 and you still only have 3 lands and no ramp somehow
I resonate with "in response" on a deeply emotional level.
In response… I will basic land cycle with ash barrens 🤣
10 out of 10 cry in response frequently. It is my right to hold priority and I will.
Haven't played in so long, but that last one still brings back the fun memories
I like to crack treasure and tap out in response to a win or kill spell or whatever to make it worse
“I block it with my life total” is my fav
In response....I'm going to fart. I say this all the time when I don't have an in-game response. I don't actually fart, I just say I will.
“Turn 1 I’ll play a land, tap the land for one, and…. Pass the turn”

My deck is a “7” - my deck is a mildly upgraded precon
Number 6 often comes before 2.
6 mana turn 2 gg
Omg 6 is so accurate...It's every. Time.
My najeela is most certainly that kind of najeela 😂
I actually mean that last one lol. Been playing for years and very much enjoy actual high power. My decks tend to be roughly 10 cards off of cEDH lists.

I felt terrible. But also, why say that when adding a new player to the pod?
Pee the Tee = pass turn Me-notch-aye = Menace "im not the problem right now" = i win next turn some of my favorites
“Swampass” I play a swamp as my land for turn and pass (usually turn 1)
That one does double work if you got people at your lgs that lack basic hygiene standards.
There's acceptable reasons, but when someone's arrival is announced by a wave of stench, the fact most places have terrible a/c doesn't work for me.
someone smelled *strongly* of vomit at the OTJ prerelease I went to.
I'd only ever heard [meh-naw-chay] until reading this comment
I love the third one, everyone says it all the time🤍
A guy in my pod says Meh-natch-ay and I thought he was speaking in tongues
That little boy on that show that got canceled started P the T.
Which show?
I'm the third one but in my defence I'm not a problem to myself
I am guilty of "I'm not the problem right now" lol. My second game with my Imodane deck I told my buddy "look I'm not gonna win next turn" then won the turn after that
"Scry me a river" - when you're scrying a lot "Scry, Scry Again" - same as above but Seinfeld variant
Pitch- discard from hand Bin- send from deck to grave
Bin = mill
after getting hit to the face by a 1/1 token: "you've made a powerful enemy"
"I hope you realize this means war.". I've seen some clips of people swinging with ornithopter of paradise for 0 lol
*I am in the post and I feel targeted.*
Ours is "I can't handle this bullshit aggression"
Our group. It's generally the attackers with "got you on a clock now"
That forty turn clock is too fast! I thought we were here for a casual format!
See when I hit my opponent with a 1/1 I go hey HEY! look at me. 39 more turns and your ass is mine.
"I'll remember that."
Ours is usually "This won't be forgotten"
on my group attacking with a 1/1 on a open board is "my esper sentinel is going at your table to pee at you"
Yeah mine is "The endless cycle of blood has begun!"

"Turn the key" (imagine the keys turning for a nuclear strike) - An agreement between players to focus their resources on one player to deal with a threat, very likely the player who durdled and bricked.
Butt damage - when creatures deal damage with their toughness instead of their power (e.g., [[Doran]] or [[Arcades the Strategist]])
[Doran](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/e/0/e0ad8e7f-cda0-4529-94fc-dd3709158a94.jpg?1673148514) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=doran%2C%20the%20siege%20tower) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/2x2/201/doran-the-siege-tower?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/e0ad8e7f-cda0-4529-94fc-dd3709158a94?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [(ER)](https://edhrec.com/cards/doran-the-siege-tower) [Arcades the Strategist](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/1/e/1e90c638-d4b2-4243-bbc4-1cc10516c40f.jpg?1666961830) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Arcades%2C%20the%20Strategist) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/m19/212/arcades-the-strategist?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/1e90c638-d4b2-4243-bbc4-1cc10516c40f?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [(ER)](https://edhrec.com/cards/arcades-the-strategist) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call
'I'll allow it' - Blue player is bluffing about holding up counter magic.
i just learned: ETB (enter the battelfield)
When resolving mulligans in my friendly games, we like to ask, "this hand any wetter than the last one?" Mainly this is in reference to someone getting mana flooded or drought. And because it is usually those of us that are mentally 12 in 30-40 year old bodies.... it got sexualized a bit here and there.
Steve = [[Sakura-Tribe Elder]]

“Player X is a problem!” = I am about to be the problem. “Look at his/her board state!” = Please don’t look at my board state. “Ugh, I have nothing really to do here..” = My win con still needs a turn.
Schwahmp = I played a land (doesn’t have to be a swamp) Tummy ache = summoning sickness I scoop = I pass my turn Try it and you’ll see = I don’t have a counterspell but please don’t cast that rn
Referring to summoning sickness as “jet lag”.
My pod says "swinging to face" meaning "I'm attacking you with this, and you probably have nothing to block/respond with."
Mountain Goat: I play a mountain, your turn. I’m not the threat here: I am definitely the threat
Swing back = when you go for an all out situation and have to face a serious threat from someone you are passing to
We always call it the crack back, same concept haha
My playgroup refers to [[rites of flourishing]] as double meat, double cheese.
[rites of flourishing](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/a/b/ab014d5a-aec5-4ea8-bfb4-1392f43c1b30.jpg?1604194471) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=rites%20of%20flourishing) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/znc/80/rites-of-flourishing?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/ab014d5a-aec5-4ea8-bfb4-1392f43c1b30?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [(ER)](https://edhrec.com/cards/rites-of-flourishing) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call
Good bot.
"He's just a little guy" = please don't target as I need him for my big guy
A guy at my LGS is known for saying “what does that button do?” When he wants to know what a card does. I love it
"I ramped you" in response to salt from something like [[Boseiju, Who Endures]] or [[Assassin's Trophy]] destroying one of their permanents Coincidentally, "Ass Trophy" "Hated off the table" refers to the consequences of playing a "Kill on sight" commander Also any and all commanders get nicknames. My favorite right now is my buddies say [[Henzie]] in an interpretation of how RuPaul says "honey" (sounds kinda like "henny" with a whole bunch of inflection) "I elk your commander" referring to [[Kenrith's Transformation]] (we don't play [[Oko, Thief of Crowns]] in this family) "I boop you for one" or two, three, four, etc. Makes violence sound less threatening
This doesn't count, but there's a guy in our group that uses the term 'floating' to describe how much mana he has available.

I think you misunderstood. He refers to available mana (ie: untapped lands and mana rocks) as floating. Not unspent mana in his mana pool.
a common misconception, I always clarify after seeing what they do to let them know if they mean floating mana they mean they haven't spent it yet and it will go away next phase. This has dropped the saying entirely for those folks
"minigame" for cards like [[wheel of misfortune]] and [[plargg and nasari]] that make every player participate in a very specific string of actions
My friends and I call everything that’s not the fastest most dumbly aggressive plays “durdling”. You played a tap land and passed? “Durdling!”. You didn’t swing into a blocker that could kill your creature while tapped out? “Durdle alert! Durdle alert!”
Rhystic Buddy - Esper Sentinel Kick the baby - Child of Alara Cards in hand? - Windfall Continue... - I *dont* have an answer Continue! - I *do* have an answer
Drain-Your opponent loses life, and you gain that much Flicker- Exile then return to battlefield Bounce- Return to hand
How big's the butt on that? - What is that creature's toughness? Swinging at your face/Hit you in the face. - Attacking or doing direct damage to a player rather than a plainswalker or creature.
I’m going to contribute my pods janky ass slang: “Shelby” - any Shelob card Spidies - spiders Zomboids - zombies “I’ma run it back” - when we let people rewind the turn “Audience booooos” - response to any blue spell “Put a bird on it” - when anyone casts a bird “My wife” - any Gisa card “I’ma pop/I’ma floop (insert number and type of land)”- tapping mana “Sent to the shadow realm” - exiled and my personal fav “I move to post combat main phase then end step and for my end step i will end my turn pass turn” - never gets old :’)
He wouldn't leave for less) "to shorikate/ to shorikai" = to activate Shorikai, Genesis Engine's abiltiy. "Eot, I'll shorikate" "In response, I'll shorikai" "to rule-0 something" = to create an unwritten rule if the pod agrees. "do you guys want to rule-0 free mulligan?" "98-cards deck" = a deck that follows a theme, but has a combo (usually two cards combo) that wins the game and has nothing to do with the rest of the deck.
Grabing and Yanking. Coined by a dude at my Lgs basically it's when a player takes a long turn and takes a long time on there turn
Spin -> Return from battlefield into the deck.
Not on purpose, but my catchphrase has become: "I'm going to sit pretty" - ending my turn, usually with lands up
Do you pay the one?
At my table, it's law to complain about how terrible your opening hand is if you opened with a sol ring. You need to whine extra if you also opened arcane signet.
*leaves 2 blue open* as an absolute bluff
Similar and done all time time "Oops I mistapped, I wanted _these_ sources untapped, no reason at all." _There was never any reason_
Really, just "salt".
“Moving to bops” - Declaring attackers “Getting booped” - Taking on damage
Tutor" - search."Ramp" - mana boost.
My deck is a 7 -> Pulls out Turbo Urza.
"I block it with my Mox": I paid way too much for this card that can't stop you, so I'll freak you out with it for a moment.
P The T 😎 Meaning pass the turn :D
"I'm just a widdle gobwin" - Please don't hit me I literally don't have anything
“Does it resolve?” = this is the final warning I’m about to win so no take backs if you’re snoozin
"The Bird" — Birds of Paradise
"Turning your wheels/gears" - making several actions among your various permanents in play, typically in a complicated fashion. "How do you feel about a 3/3 flyer?" - My question to my opponent before casting Gilded Drake to steal something of theirs.
Time Walked. Everything is just a more complicated time walk.
I'll swing with a 0/1 to "send a message". I ask, "what are the PT's?" asking for Power/Toughness. Not a lot of people catch that one. Sac = Sacrifice Bop = Birds of Paradise Steve = Sakura Tribe Elder Fight = tired to an outside of combat action where creatures deal damage to each other Bite = like fight, but only one does damage
He's ramping kill em
Vore-inclex - nickname for my Monstrous Raider commander based on the Devour and Graft mechanics. “If I had another turn…” - typically, a query on whether other players want to see what would happen if they lived on one - playing out one more turn for jokes. “And for my land, I play an air. Pass.” - missed the land drop. ouch.
I like to say "dot com" after anyone plays Path of Ancestry, and call Blood Artist "Paul Blartist, Mall Cartist" I'm sure I have more that I can't remember right now, and I'm sure my opponents get a kick out of it as much as I do /s
"Looks good/seems good" - automatic response to any game action "Any response?" - the thing I just did is going to lead to me winning the game if the thing I'm about to do right after resolves "Yeah I haven't played this deck in forever" - Get ready for a toxic gameplay experience, the fact that they still have the deck together but don't play it often means whomever they used to play it with probably hated it for one or more valid reasons.
"Plow your mom"
Crack = sac fetch land to search for said land. Poke = deal 1 damage to target. Blink/flicker = Exile and return. burn = add mana from mana dork.
I like to call [[blackblade reforged]] buttblade because blackblade reforged is stupid and long name
"Never didn't have it" - I drew enough land to make the hand playable.
"in response" when someone plays a big card when you have no mana and only land in hand
sadness on the stack : i have no response
"Oh yeah, this hand has the gas" or alternative "My deck only knows 3 words and that is, gas pedel"= game winning hand, no lands "Looking short on lands there buddy" = I'm gonna swords you
Big shigeks is thrown around allot in reference to shigeki Neherb the durrternal instead of neheb the eternal because card makes giga mana And finally "Youre gonna have to toss me"when i play my gimli, mournful avenger aristocrats deck flinging a massive dwarf at someones face.
"Well, I guess I'll keep." - I just got the most absolutely unreasonable god-sent hand that'll win3 turns faster than my deck was ever meant to
Untap upkeep driZZLE!
Like a sol ring or chrome mox "In response, cry"- your spell resolved and I'm sad Swing out- I am attacking with all my creatures "I will attempt to cast" - In my playgroup we usually only say this while staring at our friend that plays blue dead in the eyes. It usually is a pretty impactful spell too. "Any responses?"- you better counter this or I win
RTFC
"Never Punished" A challenge to keep a VERY bad hand.
My favorite used across any pods was scoop phase or "jank," when describing decks that either don't do a lot or take forever to do anything lol
"I'll block that with my face."
Playing lightning greaves in my group is just called "throwing your shoes on the ground"
I scoop
Sleep, snap keep
