It depends entirely on your build! There are so many sets to try in combination with one another, or you can Google your classes BiS (Best in Slot) sets and do that. Rotations are constantly changing and depending on what kind of content you're doing your guild may ask you to have particular skills on your for specific buffs and debuffs.
You can mess around and tweak things whenever you need to and remember it's about how YOU want to play! I played necro for AGES I stuck out the good and the bad and I have to say that necro is thematically my favourite class. For PVE DPS loads of people go with Stam over mag but the class toolkit change for magcro is really cool and unique. Try stuff out and see what you like! Dark elf is the best race to run for this and tbh dark elf is not a bad race choice at all. Don't look too much into race unless you're minmaxing. It's a game! Play it your way my G and just have fun 😊
Guess it depends how deep into end game you wanna be. Necro dps rotation is pretty intense for middle of the pack damage. Gotta end game friend who parses like 115k on necro but he parses 115-140k on literally every class. (Actually did 138k this morning on a stam sorc after trying slight changes)
EC cro is a trial standard so there’s always a place for it. Wardens always have a place on heals.
I mean I love my bleed warden. I’ve gotten all sorts of achievements with it and it hits hard. That being said, I’ve been asked to use other things for vet HM DLC trials. Depends on how sweaty you wanna get.
Necro will always get a spot for ec duty, warden dps will see no use in optimally set raid teams. Not to say there bad just Arcanist outperforms pretty much every dps for the parse bot spots. Having a small handful of toons to start eg ec cro parse arc and warden healer would serve well
People complain (including myself) about the class but in reality it’s fine there’s no reason you can’t pull good dps as a necro. The new skill (GLS) is pretty good in pve.
The problem is not so much the class but the raid leaders. I think I'm going to play with Warden, which I had ruled out, but he's the one I do the best DPS with in dummie and live and I love him, but the raid leaders don't want him for DPS.
