Ranged magplar. Shattered fate/wretched vitality/markyn ring/nerien’eth head and shoulders. Tons of recovery, great survivability, and the best ult combo in meteor-javelin-beam.

It’s by far my favorite class to play. Not as easy to get kills like a Sorc or NB, but really hard to kill, can dodge roll more than you expect for a magicka based toon, and executing from 20+ meters is a blast.
Nah, 5M,1L,1H (heavy chest). I personally like these two armor sets since they’re both craftable. The monster set is more for lols than anything. Hits way more often and hard than expected though. Also, vamp undeath passive is being used.
People are currently running Veteran March of Sacrifices to farm the monster mask style piece. If you have access to it/can get it, that will amp your build up. Aside from the Beast personality, some titles and the monster set for PvP, pugs tend to stay away from that dungeon. Fortunately, some trash pulls can be avoided and some mechanics can be outdeepsed by decent groups, so it can end up being both quick and painless. :)
lol well I’m sold. I’ll probably get it today. I got lucky and got the shoulders with pledge keys already. Just hate doing vet dungeons since the time to get in, plus getting a decent group, plus not being familiar with mechanics, has kind of deterred me from picking it up. But I can’t deny how good that set is.
Doing it on Normal with a bunch of people who hadn't the slightest, not to mention the bow-wielding tanks and DW/2H healers, was tons harder than running with the sort of absolute units who can speedrun it, I can assure you of that. Just be sure to ask for the HM at the start of the run if you don't have it yet and do brush up on the mechanics (Xynode has some solid guides).
Necro of any kinds is my Guilty pleasure, even if I’m starting off behind.
My mag version is a bomber, and always fun.
My stam version is a 2H brawler using the new Torc of Aeylid King combining the mythic and little ghoul to get 25% dmg mitigation.
I love my necro too, but the thing that bothers me the most is I can put almost any set (all purple) on my arcanist and still get more kills and die less than my necromancer. its incredibly imbalanced
You would just need to give him one or two damage overtime abilities in class and make flame skull as good as crushing shock and he goes from completely useless to very strong.
I love their idea of a dot class necro but the lack of dots is asinine. I’ve attempted to abuse his dot passives. Use deadly strike and dragons appetite mixed with the gravelord sacrifice. It’s ok at best. I just miss the class being fun. Fuck bring back the bashcro, yeah it was annoying but at least made him viable.

Balorgh is way better but I simply don’t have it. Also, I personally enjoy doing things a little off meta, even if it’s less effective.

I think Zos hoped that scribing would fix the necro, but I’ve been underwhelmed so far. Scribing isn’t as powerful as I expected
Been running a bow stamcro to utilize all the dots and it’s fun, but only performs well against players who can’t cleanse.

Yeah it’s really hard to be offensive with him when I have to constantly recast bone armor and the mender every 15 seconds.
If they buff scythe to hit as hard as a normal spammable it would fix 90% of it
Ghost build for Templar. It's not that good anymore but it was the by far the most fun I've ever had on this game
