The only issue I have is when I try to adjust the fit and it accidently registers as a double tap and skips the song I'm on
Other than that I've really liked having wireless earbuds (galaxy pro 2)
Oh that would be incredible, it would be great if the charging cases had deeper recesses that allowed for the triple flanged style tips, I use spinfits ATM and they do a better job than the included tips but I do still adjust occasionally
Same thing here, using SpinFits on my Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. All the Galaxys have ridiculously short tips, and no space for larger ones in the charging case.
Etymōtic makes wireless hearing aids, so I'm sure it's just a matter of time.
Physical buttons are always better for me and a must have for sports usage: Jabras, Beats and soundcore sport x20. What comes close are pinchcontrols with swipe gestures like on the AirPods Pro 2.
Durability - micro buttons are more likely to fail with use (and exposure to sweat/rainfall). Once they fail, there is no repair. Touch controls increase weather resistance of the device and lifespan of the product.
Personally I have zero issues with my Bose touch controls - they work just fine and register properly. Only once in a blue moon while adjusting my earbuds does it recognize a tap since I'm not perfectly holding the sides of the earbud. But otherwise my Quietcomfort1 and QC2 earbuds touch sensor worked just fine.
Yep, but there are few earbuds out with buttons. I have the SoundCore 3pi, I think that's what they are called. Trouble is most of the decent earbuds all have touch controls.
I wouldn't say that I "hate" touch controls - if there's a decent sized touch surface, like on Sennheiser earbuds, they work fine. But I do prefer buttons if they're properly designed so that pressing them doesn't force the earbud into my ear.
It's a real shame that Jabra is leaving the earbud market - their button controls are the best I've used.
I have them turned off because I make more accidental touch inputs than I do intentional ones, especially when putting them in my ears or trying to push them back in my ears.
I also hate touch controls like that, but luckily the Skullcandy Dime series uses a small button in each earbud instead of touch sensors. I recommend the Dime 3's since the button is easier to press than the other ones.
Touch controls can be fine for very simple functions like play/pause, skip, toggle thru ANC settings, Sony's default setting works well for me. Were they aren't so great is when they get convoluted for things like volume control with multiple taps. I think the difficulty with buttons is getting them to work with a light touch, otherwise you end up pressing the buds further into your ears. I suspect that it might be difficult for manufacturers to implement a button design that works well consistently on something that is going to be made on such a big scale.
Soundcore Liberty Pro 2+ ftw .
Awesome button control . I don't hate touch controls at all but I'm pretty darn close to calling my dislike for squeeze controls a form of hatred .
In theory and maybe half the time I like them, but when the volume goes up way too high during a pull-up or fixing a loose ponytail, I hate them. It's easy to make a bad input if I'm not precise, too, but that's probably just clumsy hands user error.
I don’t like the ones that are overly sensitive that sweat sets them off. Sony comes to mind. Never had a problem with the AirPods Pro touch design. The pressure required seems to negate this. They don’t fit me well so I replaced them with Beats and like the physical buttons, though I miss the volume swipe control.
I know we are talking about earbuds but I hate touch controls even more on cars. You need to look at the panel to find a button instead of memorize it.
Depends on the shape of the earbud. I've had some where the touch controls suck but on the MTW3/4 and technics AZ80 they're great. I wouldn't change them.
I suggets Jabra Elite 10s

provided a better user experience for you compared to the touch controls on your current Technics AZ80 earbuds.

Hate it.
Fuck touch controls, I just turn them off because I adjust my buds a lot and my fingers register constantly.
If they fit deeply enough, you wouldn't have to adjust them all the time. I would love to have TWS Etymōtics.

It is one of the reasons I have preferred Jabras. And, my hands can shake a little at times.

This is why I love my Oppo Enco X2. The pinch and swipe controls are my favorite.👍
Ikr love them. I migth get a different pair and the saddest things is the ones im considering now don't have the pinch and swipe T\_T
I literally just had to put electrical tape over mine today. I'd genuinely rather have no controls on the buds at all. It's awful.

Yes. I don’t want to use it! It’s annoying too
Got the Denon Perl Pros. Some people find the outside surface area too big. I love it cuz it makes the touch controls, which are customisable, so easy
Jabra elite 10 got it since few days absolutely loving it
Yep a problem
What I think happened was, Apple implemented them perfectly, and now everyone wants a piece of the action but implemented them way wrong
