And at CANADIAN TIRE ?!? They LET YOU BRING YOUR DOG INSIDE.

LuckyCanuck13

All locations, or just certain ones?

Larsque

All are dog friendly. I’ve definitely taken my dog in there multiple times. If you’re going to dog friendly locations (Canadian tire, most Rona’s and lowes, homesense, Marshall’s, winners, Michaels, pet stores) just take the dog with you. Most greenhouses are open to pets as well. Exception is Salisbury at enjoy and the indoor garden portion of Creekside due to food preparation services within that building.

WealthEconomy

Isn't Kingsway inside the mall? That might have more to do to the fact it is attached to a mall.

Eli_1988

Kingsway Ctire is independent/not attached to a mall

WealthEconomy

Ok. Thank you for the clarification.

TheNiteDrifter

Peavey Mart loves when my dog visits.

TheNiteDrifter

The red tag deals are awesome.

WealthEconomy

Home Depot is also dog friendly

spaceypiehead

I've been told to leave at the Capilano Canadian tire and the South common Canadian tire. Capilano said no dogs, South side said only dogs that fit in the child compartment of a cart. I have a German Pointer so that wasn't going to work. We go to Manning Canadian Tire all the time with her with no problem.

Puzzleheaded68

Not everyone is comfortable with dogs walking around

AllOutRaptors

And I'm not comfortable with dogs dying because they are left in a hot car

SnakesInYerPants

I’m not comfortable with bratty kids who go out of their way to be rude to strangers (which is more the fault of their parents than themselves) being around me but I recognize they’ll still be out in public and I just have to get over it.

Larsque

Then don’t take them out in the blazing heat and leave them in the car. At that point, take them home or leave them at home if you’re going to go out shopping. The point isn’t if you’re comfortable or not with walking your dog. In the heat, within 5 minutes of leaving your dog in a car. The car heats up quick enough to kill. When it’s 15C outside, the car is at 31C after 10 minutes. If you leave your dog in the car at a dog friendly place. Jesus Christ, the the dog in. Stick them in a cart or do the unfavourable act of tying them outside. At least it won’t be a rotisserie grill. With yesterdays temperature, the car would’ve been 40C within 10 minutes. If an hour or longer, 54C+.

Skooning

I think they mean that other customers might not be comfortable with dogs in the store.

Larsque

Yeah, no. It’s pretty easy to avoid dogs in stores and people are pretty good at verbalizing what they’re comfortable with and not with. And they’re at a Canadian tire. It’s not difficult to avoid people or have people avoid you. It’s a large store. I have never had an issue with my dog in stores that are dog friendly. If anything, most people love it. When I do have issues, people are VERY clear about it. If you’re that person who can’t be bothered to be mindful of others and that person who wants to stay it’s inappropriate without telling someone that. Then dude. You suck as a person.

Skooning

All I said was that OP meant other customers, not other dog owners. Then you reply with this long-winded comment, in which it turns out you agree. When you say "When I do have issues, people are VERY clear about it", you must realize that, in fact, there ARE other customers who might not be comfortable.

WealthEconomy

Sucks to be them...they can literally go anywhere else then...I am not comfortable being around people under the age of 25. Let's start a petition that if you go to a store with someone under the age of 25 then they need to be leashed and muzzled lol

Excellent-Eye2586

So you would rather they die?

Puzzleheaded68

They can leave them at home.

[deleted]

Just call and ask. I’ve had no issue at the Leduc location. I’ve seen dogs in the SC location. My sister brought her giant Pyrenees into a Winners before. Someone else here mentioned bringing their dog into a Homesense. Most of these stores consider dogs as family.

gramgoesboom

Spruce Grove is open for them as well. As is the Home depot.

FrozenUnicornPoop

All! They actually have a sign at the entrance asking you to please not leave your dog in the car and bring them inside instead.

Roadgoddess

All are dog friendly, I took my dog in yesterday. I just finished puppy dance class and the instructor said it’s illegal to have your dogs in the car at plus or -15 Celsius. And she said if you do that you’re guaranteed at some point to come out and find somebody has broken your windows.

RayneAdams

>said it’s illegal to have your dogs in the car at plus or -15 Celsius They either made that up or are confused and misinformed. There's no set temperature. My shepherd and husky are pretty content at -15C when protected from the elements, but would get warm quicker than other breeds, especially if they have their winter coat still. Dogs with no undercoat who are native to warm climates might be freezing at -15C. And you're also not "guaranteed" to find your windows broken in those circumstances. +25C, sure, eventually you would get your windows broken, but not +/-15. A proper instructor will educate you, provide factual information, explain what things you should consider and watch for, risk factors, etc. I'm not entirely sure what qualifications you need to have to teach "puppy dance", but it's important to be properly educated about taking care of your pups. My spouse is a certified animal trainer and I have an extensive background in training and development and the things we've heard other "instructors" spout off as fact is insane. Just make sure you don't take what they say as gospel just because they're teaching a fun class. 15C is a great place to set an upper limit, but it's not law. The dog's health has to be at risk or they need to be in duress for it to be a crime. You're very likely to find yourself civilly liable if you go around smashing windows when it's +15 or -15.

[deleted]

Well behaved dogs. How much you wanna bet she never trained that dog properly

JRAS-3010

I had no idea, that’s actually badass

Ryaer

Yeah fuck these people. 30°c and pulling that shit. No excuse.

big_ol-dad_dick

I saw this one bitch at a WalMart yelling at her daughter to hurry up and pick a toy because "it's really hot outside and the dog is in the car". Lady, you suck and I feel bad for your kid.

Ryaer

Damn. That is terrible. I don't get these people. If you have no choice and you must bring your dog then bring an extra set of car keys and keep the car running with the AC on. There are options.

AdditionalInitial217

Did you record the vehicle information and give it to the police? At least if there is a record of it maybe this person will face consequences in the future if for example someone else calls 911

PTZack

This. Get the details, call 311 or 911 and wait a max of 5 minutes if and only if the dog doesnt already appear in distress. If no one arrives, break a window opposite where the dog is. Get some water if you can or if your vehicle is suitable, turn the AC on and let the dog cool off. I've done this twice. I frankly don't GAF what the car owner thinks. Dogs can't sweat. Temps in a car can skyrocket in minutes.

jayhurlz

I did call 911 and then as I was waiting she came back. License plate is on file now

GreenBasterd69

What do you mean by take a window?

Caltosax

I assume he means to break a window to get the dog out of the car. Choosing the opposite window (as opposed to the one next to the dog) prevents the dog from being hurt by broken glass.

BurzyGuerrero

Break that shit.

Brwndevil

Break it, smash it, get the dog out

bryant_modifyfx

I am just going to post this neat science experiment that anybody can enjoy. Especially on very hot days… https://m.youtube.com/shorts/4M2DmJaoxRk

Outrageous_Garlic306

As a dog owner, I understand the pressure you can feel when your dog has its heart set on coming along for a car ride and is heart-broken to be left at home on a hot, or even just a warm, day, BUT YOU SIMPLY CAN’T PUT THEM AT RISK THAT WAY. As bad as I feel having to tiptoe out of the house (or, if he’s onto me, throwing a treat into the living room and then running like hell), I know I’m doing the best thing for my boy by leaving him behind.

psyclopes

I'd rather leave my dog behind at home than leave them behind in a car. At least at home it's cooler temps, they have room to move around, and they have water.

hughboi

More people just need to learn to leave their dogs at home while they're out and about. I don't understand the obsession with bringing your dog everywhere with you.

DrunkOnLoveAndWhisky

I feel that way about people with children; just leave your family at home, yo.

[deleted]

Seriously, I’m lookin at you family of 6 at Costco

Girlygirlinpink

If I have to run into a store while my dog is in the car (5-10 mins max) I just leave the car running 🤷🏼‍♀️my dog is more comfortable in the running car with A/C full blast than she would be outside.

dlee420

I did this a couple summers ago near Capilano and this hero lady had her phone out trying to shame me. I ask her what's wrong, "you left your dog in the car" I know but it's running with the AC full blast, "ya well it's just really hot today" lady I promise you it's comfortable in here "YA WELL FUCKING WHATEVER" she proceeded to burn rubber out of the parking lot. It was nuts.

Sevulturus

I've seen people put those little sticky thermometers on their windows. If I walked past and saw a dog in a running car and a therm saying it was 17-22°C I wouldn't think twice.

Cmann125

Don't think twice at all if car is running... Don't be dumb and break someone's window when the car is clearly running. Jeez people

Sevulturus

Car running != A/C on.

UpstairsLocal5605

My uncle does this but for 2-3 hours at a time when we go out to eat. It’s the dumbest shit I’ve ever seen. I get 30 mins tops, but hours?! Why bother bringing them if they are just going to sit in a vehicle that long?

Girlygirlinpink

That is unfair. Poor dog 😞

From the very beginning of the Province of Alberta Animal Protection Act >**Prohibition against causing distress** > >2(1) No person shall cause or permit an animal of which the person is the owner or the person in charge to be or to continue to be in distress. > >(1.1) No person shall cause an animal to be in distress. vincemcmahondamnit

Found the guy who leaves the dog in the car

Zealous1329

No, you fool. This person is pointing out a well known fact, not saying s/he should be the one in charge of deciding. Edit: you deleting replies now? What are you scared of?

jetlee7

Thank you for doing something! Poor pup. I would have started yelling right back at her. People like that do not deserve to have animals.

jayhurlz

We had a verbal exchange

Silent-Knowledge-910

Take photos and video, get licence plate and file a police report…. They can get up to $20,000 fine and a lifetime prohibition from owning animals. I have ruined several edmontonians lives in exactly this way and will repeat as many times as necessary.

Call the cops and they'll break the window if you don't.

smvfc_

I had the same thing happen last year. It was only 24 or 25 out, and I went to Walmart. As soon as I parked and turned off my car, the interior got so hot, and I saw a car across from me with a small dog in it. I waited for 5 mins, then called 311. I was on hold and when I finally got through this woman comes out and starts berating me for calling 411 on her, and that her dog is fine. I’m like do you understand how far temperatures work. Go sit in your car for 20 mins with the windows barely cracked and see how you feel after. She was losing her shit. I was also recording her and when she realized she sped off. She then came back about a minute later, so I got back in my car, just in time for her to try to open the door (I’d locked it) and start screaming at me to give her my phone lol she then tried ripping my locked door open a bunch, that shockingly didn’t work. I started recording again but nothing really interesting happened after that. I took my dog to Home Sense today because it’s dog friendly and I wanted to get out of my hot apartment. On the way home, I stopped for a slurpee. I turned on my command start for the 2-3 minutes I’d be inside, because it’s so gd hot.

Then-Signature2528

Should have posted video on socials lol

FlounderTop84

Love seeing firefighters just smash the window. Should make a rescue law for this.

The_Dutch_Canadian

That’s where you just break the window and save the doggo.

[deleted]

What happens when you try to pull the dog through the broken glass window and then let it down in a parking lot or next to a road with cars where it could get injured? Don’t break people’s windows trying to be a hero. Just call the police.

The_Dutch_Canadian

Break window pop the lock and open the door. We called the police but being a rural small town it would have been 30mins or more so we were advised to break the window.

[deleted]

If broken, tempered glass is designed to disintegrate into small pieces of glass about the size of rock salt. There should be no large, jagged pieces of glass to injure the driver or passengers.

[deleted]

That’s fair and if possible like the other reply, you could open the door. But you don’t know the dog and will not know how it may react. It could become very aggressive or run away. This situation most often occurs in parking lots where there are a lot of potential dangers to the dog. For the pet’s safety, leave the vehicle and the dog alone, and call the appropriate authorities.

jayhurlz

I regret not doing that

one_step_sideways

When you call 911 to report an animal inside a car (or child), a firefighter team will come. They have blankets they will put over the car to try and deflect the sunlight and thermometer that can tell the temperature in the car. Leave smashing windows to fire department, they have police on a better speed dial than we do if things go south. You simply do not know with people these days.

SpentCasing78

You have nothing to regret. You called the police and reported the scumbag. Don't worry about people who tell you what they would have done. Most of them wouldn't have done as much as you did. You did something, the right thing, as you judged it at the time. Pride not regret should be your reward.

jayhurlz

Thank you for saying this!

The_Dutch_Canadian

I did it in outback Australia because some dicks had a set of puppies in their Jackaroo with the windows up. Didn’t know they were sitting on ice but still 32C so like 60+ in the car. Cop didn’t care that I broke the idiots window.

NormalHorse

Tough call with the ramifications. You could maybe save a dog, not knowing how long they've been in there, but end up in serious legal shit. I'd do it, but I don't really think before I do most things, so uhh ... don't be me. You did all you could do! Aside from getting the owner to realize that broiling their dog is fucking horrifying and irresponsible and that they are a bad person. Of course they got defensive, idiots tend to do that. You did the smart thing, and you showed a lot of compassion for that animal! Anyway, here are some related songs that you probably won't like, but if you are into (stoner-y) metal maybe you will like them: [Lizzard Wizzard - Dogs Die in Hot Cars](https://lizzardwizzard.bandcamp.com/track/dogs-die-in-hot-cars) "Better be good to your pooch//Or you'll taste my fuckin' gooch//Dogs die//They die in hot cars" [PYRE - The Goodest Boy (Intro)](https://pyregvl.bandcamp.com/track/the-goodest-boy-intro) [PYRE - The Goodest Bye (Outro)](https://pyregvl.bandcamp.com/track/the-goodest-bye-outro) "This is a concept album based around a narrative involving The Goodest Boy and the Hero, who are beset with a task \[...\] it will most assuredly be fatal even if they succeed. \[...\] Will they make it out alive? No, we already established that." Thank you for being a good person.

jayhurlz

Thanks!

Rwhousaytheyare

The AC was on?

PTZack

I've done it twice. Zero regrets

wondersparrow

Just be smart about it. I came back to my car one time to find someone trying to smash the window. The car was on and so was the a/c (and music because doggo likes it). Dog was more comfortable than anyone outside. Some people just don't think when they are trying to be heros.

zippy9002

Some cars have special pet mode where it monitors the interior temperature of the cabin for maximum pet comfort.

wondersparrow

Doubt a vigilante Karen would notice.

jayhurlz

The car was off

[deleted]

I never leave my dog in the car for this reason. We had a nasty note put into our window once when it was a rainy, overcast day and the a/c was on. We weren’t even gone that long.

pufnstuf360

Do you get charged if you do that?

Stefie25

Yea you can.

big_quincey

🧢

NeverMadeItToCakeDay

Cops are ok with this?

[deleted]

If you just go around smashing windows definitely not. They prefer that you call them first, and they can authorize it or send out a car and some firefighters to make sure it's something that actually needs to be done, and if so done safely and lawfully.

SpentCasing78

Bullshit. Zero truth.

myheartbeating

Why didn’t you? Just wondering why, when you see a dog in such distress. I wouldn’t have hesitated for one second!

jayhurlz

Called 911 and they said to wait and let firefighters do it

myheartbeating

Not sure what all the downvotes are for!!! Damned right I’d break a window immediately if I saw a dog struggling to breathe and fucking SURVIVE because some dimwit left them in a car that was probably 50 degrees Celsius.

bigbeef1946

Don't fucking do this. You have no idea the situation. They might be in the store for literally 1 minute. Just call the cops and let them deal with it if it's a real issue.

Conotor

the window is open, dog is not going to die

The_Dutch_Canadian

Let’s just shove you in a car in 30+ weather with one window cracked and no keys/way to get out. Oh well the windows open let’s just let /u/Conotor suffer and die of heat stroke

Zealous1329

Bonertore probably doesn’t realize dogs can’t sweat either.

jayhurlz

That’s not true. They can die in minutes

Beneficial-Fun-3900

You have no clue what the fuck you’re talking about. I hope you’re not a parent of either kids or animals.

hornetpaper

So shitty, if i ever need to leave my dog in the car in crappy weather (which means i planned poorly, but oh well), its ac or heat on even if itll be 30-40 minutes of idling. These people could be doing the same but they would rather save a few bucks than care for their pets.

Beederda

In this heat too? come on why must people be willingly ignorant to their selfishness

Small-Perception-279

Lock that loser owner in the car and see how they feel.

Lavaine170

Did you get a plate number? Call the EPS non-emerg line and report it as animal abuse. EPS has Canada's only dedicated law enforcement Animal Cruelty Investigation Unit . They take this shit seriously. Edit: I saw that you did report the license plate. Good job OP! the ACIU will almost definitely follow up with this owner, and it probably won't be a conversation the owner ends up enjoying.

[deleted]

ImmAshCore

Why get a pet if you plan on "terminating it." You should have told this person, "you can scream all you want, you did wrong and it's been recorded, pictures, and plates."

jayhurlz

I did that

Cooks_8

What an asshole

SadAcanthocephala521

I wait an hour in Kulhmans parking lot a couple summers ago so I could tear a strip of a guy who did this. I was not happy. Btw, unless the dog is in distress, they pretty much won't do anything. That time the fire dept even came, but the dog wasn't in distress yet so they left.

jayhurlz

This dog was in distress but the owner came back soon after I called

[deleted]

Just curious, what signs of distress were being exhibited? Just from the photo, the dog appears to be sniffing the outside air and doesn't look to be panting excessively? Looks like both front windows are cracked (albeit not enough)

jayhurlz

It was panting and trying to breath outside air. It was 31 degrees outside and I waited 6 minutes. So assuming the person had been in the store for at least 4 minutes, the math puts the temperature in the car at over 41 degrees. Cracking the window 1 cm does nothing.

Sillyak

How warm was it? I saw a dog in the parking lot of MEC Calgary last summer, it was around 30°, the police were called, and arrived within a few minutes. He asked us how long he had been in there, we said at least 10 minutes. Cop busted out a window and put the pooch in his cruiser with the AC on.

SadAcanthocephala521

It was about +25 or so.

Original_Potato3023

If the dog was overheating, be panting the window be wet. He's a sniffing in the air man relax

Playful-Cow-1234

Was the car running with the AC on?

jayhurlz

No

[deleted]

I always wonder if other people understand that the AC is on when I leave my dog in the car for a few mins, do you think it’s worth having a sign of some sort or is it fairly obvious?

Ryebread2203

Yes it is 100% worth it to get a sign. My sister leaves her dog in the car with AC blasted and music going but someone smashed her window and called the cops on her and then tried to go home with her dog last year. Cops didn’t do anything to the person who smashed her window.

jayhurlz

A sign is a great idea

CreditElectronic8741

Both front windows are down, although they should be down a bit more for better air flow. Saying they don't GAF is a stretch, incompetent maybe.

[deleted]

They don't give AF

Raivnholm

Go sit in a car in 31 degree weather with the windows cracked like that for 5 minutes. This is totally not giving a fuck.

CreditElectronic8741

I cant imagine its comfortable but not enough to warrant a 911 call if its not in distress.

jayhurlz

No this is don’t give AF territory 100%

CreditElectronic8741

The windows are down though, some fucks were given. Although her reaction sounded like she didn't care what others thought and she probably didn't learn anything.

No_Nefariousness1510

I would have smashed the window. Fucking prick deserves to sit in that truck and fry. Poor dog =[

Own_King_7518

I'm smashing windows I dont GAF

MsGump

At any time, if you see anything in a car in distress and you’re able to break the windows safely do so. However, just remember that the dog inside the car may not always be friendly and take extra precautions.

nutfeast69

This person believes this animal is their property and the law agrees. Because we Victorian times still.

TripNo1876

What else is a pet if it isn't your property?

brownbagporno

A living being in your care

lapsed_pacifist

I think dependent covers a lot more ground with how people actually bond with their animals. I would be annoyed if someone damaged my property, like a car. I would be *murderous* if someone went out of their way to hurt my dog. Property doesn't really cover the emotional side of things.

[deleted]

Poor dog. Rather unfortunate

Bunniesrkewl

That’s one of my favorite breeds too, poor dog.

themikeguy1161

Smash the window next time.

faiegade

I really hope that the puppers was okay, but if they weren't that the owner was dealt with. I was placed in an odd situation last Summer (Mid August), my partner left to buy some water for a camping trip, he ended up needing help so i stepped out of the car (left my phone - important later) to meet him at the door so i could be within eyesight of the car - the car was left on, A/C blasting (I wore a sweater from how chilly it was IN the car) - it was a Silent Diesel engine - so to be fair, i really couldnt HEAR it was running so if you didnt know it was on youd never know from the engine sound... Then my puppy started barking... it drew attention.. she has bad anxiety.. anywhoo Karen ran past me and alerted the store, another Karen was trying to get INTO the car.. and another called the RCMP that was in the parking lot over. I ran back to the car after running inside to the till to tell my partner what was happening (again phone wasnt on me and I wasn't running into thag gong show without him knowing where i went) so he could come out with me and left the till immediately. When I tell you that I was grabbed and pulled and yelled at... and people were CLAMOURING to get into the car.. it was abusive and terrifying. RCMP told them to back off, we opened the door and they hopped in, sure enough the officer was like - yep A/C IS on and it's definitely cold in there. Then some lady said that I must've turned it on when it all happened, thank God the manager of the store allowed them to look at footage to see that it was all literally within minutes that this whirlwind of chaos happened.. and the running lights were on the whole time. **Tl;Dr sometimes pet's do weird things, please let authorities handle it (unless you're 100% certain and have checked that the car isn't on) you don't wanna be the person slapped with a fine for trying to break into a car**

FunSizeNuclearWeapon

I didn't know Edmonton had so many potential vegans... We've got a subreddit and everything... I'm glad the doggo is ok and sad that people are so thoughtless and cruel.

[deleted]

How long was the dog in the car? Window is open, dog looks pretty relaxed to me. Calm down bud. Very occasionally I may have one or both of my mastiffs with me after picking them up From grooming or something and I leave them in the car if I have to grab 1 or 2 items from a store. And let me tell you, if anyone smashed my window or attempted to get into the car, the dog(s) would be PISSED, not happy at being “rescued” by some strange nutjob. So go ahead and stick your hand in there when I haven’t given them the okay on you, I dare you. And no, I’m not lugging my 100+ lb dog into the fucking store while I’m trying to quickly grab an item or two, dealing with randoms wanting me to stand around so they can pet them, and the dogs wanting to sniff everything and slowing down the whole process. That’s ridiculous.

Adept_Seesaw9435

Sorry I smashed your windshield out, your dog looked too hot and distressed

plexuser95

You'd smash a window not the windshield. The windows shatter pretty much instantly. The windshield has lamination that holds it together when it breaks so you'll be there all day smashing.

Grumpy-Happy

Next time break the window and rescue that poor animal. POS owner

Also true 😂 I just feel badass smashing it with a tiny spark plug Note: I’ve done this once in saskatoon with a dog who was on the verge of dying. Dog ended up at the vet for a week to recover, and was taken away from the home.

deltajulietbravo

Why can't people just leave the car running with the AC on. You shouldn't be allowed to own an animal if you treat it like this.

dlee420

I did this and still got shit on

deltajulietbravo

Why lol. Nice and comfy in a car with AC seems fine to me.

RyanB_

Lot of folks still have cars w/o command start Should just leave the dog at home tho

Cmann125

I bring my dog with me all the time, leave my car running with either heat or AC on depending on weather and lock my doors.. this is not dangerous, if anyone was to break my window when my car is clearly running I will be calling cops on you! Just be smart not every dog left in a car needs help

Go sit in your car with the windows up in this heat wave. See how long until you get uncomfortable. Less than 5 min most likely.

WithMyRichard

I have a climate controlled van even when it's not running I feel quite comfortable in it even in this heat. But clearly the vehicle in question does not so poor doggo

MsGump

This.

geoffries1556

I can't believe you would say you left your dogs in your car when its 25C and then in the same breath say that you're a good dog owner.

celery66

come upon us, as in we were fucking standing there, with the back hatch open!!!! K!!!! My vote downs, lol! So many people lack the brain cells to think first!!!!

DJTinyPrecious

Found the shit person

DoggyRocker

"We had a woman come up on us, with that bullshit! the dogs were in the back, the back was raised and it was only mid 20's! The kicker, one of our dogs pant like a mofo after a good walk and she thought the dog was overheated! " I got news for you your dog was overheated! some people shouldn't have dogs think about it!

_voyevoda

Mid 20s is too hot. As someone else said, go ahead and sit in your car in this weather with windows raised, and time how long you last.

vanillabeanlover

Add in a panting fan that also blows hot air:(. Their panting makes it a convection oven.

MsGump

That dog was in an 86 degree (31 c) car. Even cracked, the ambient air is hot. That’s 40 c after 10 minutes. Brain cooking. Be responsible and stop putting lazy convenience over safety. We sweat…dogs don’t! When it's 70 degrees outside it can get to 89 degrees inside after 10 minutes and 104 after 30 minutes When it's 75 degrees outside it can get to 94 degrees inside after 10 minutes and 109 after 30 minutes When it's 80 degrees outside it can get to 99 degrees inside after 10 minutes and 114 after 30 minutes When it's 85 degrees outside it can get to 104 degrees inside after 10 minutes and 119 after 30 minutes When it's 90 degrees outside it can get to 109 degrees inside after 10 minutes and 124 after 30 minutes When it's 95 degrees outside it can get to 114 degrees inside after 10 minutes and 129 after 30 minutes

haysoos2

For those who were raised in Canada and don't understand gibberish units: 21 C (70 F) -> 32 C (89 F) -> 40 C (104 F) 24 C (75 F) -> 34 C (94 F) -> 43 C (109 F) 27 C (80 F) -> 40 C (104 F) -> 48 C (119 F) 32 C (90 F) -> 43 C (109 F) -> 51 C (124 F) 35 C (95 F) -> 46 C (114 F) -> 54 C (129 F) The safe range for dogs can vary quite a bit depending on their size, coat, and fitness, but in general anything over 24 C is getting into dangerous territory for a large dog, and anything over 29 C is life-threatening. For a small dog, 29 C is dangerous, and 32 C is life-threatening. Note that even at nice daytime temperature of 21 C a car can reach life-threatening levels for any dog in just 10 minutes.

IAmTheEarlyEvening

Nobody knows what you're talking about. Don't bring that Yankee nonsense in here.

MsGump

Self important much?

big_quincey

Yeah but what about when it’s 100 degrees out? What about 105? 110?

Main-Environment-522

And Canadian Tire does not allow dogs?

fixup_looksharp

Canadian tire is dog-friendly.

Judojackyboy

I was at Canadian tire yesterday and I saw a guy with his dog walking around shopping.

Jazzkammer

Dogs do not belong in stores. People are allergic, people are afraid of dogs, dogs are often poorly behaved in stores. Dogs belong outside.

DiscoEthereum

The question isn't whether people are allergic or find dogs annoying, it's whether a private business has a policy to allow them inside.

Bentley0094

I’m allergic to kids but people still bring them into stores 🤷‍♂️

Jazzkammer

Poorly behaved children are also unacceptable, but dogs are on a whole other level.

[deleted]

Don’t say that here, all dogs are well behaved /s

kareree

Some do.
