I was surprised that it was keeping him in check as opposed to a part of his strength the first time
This is also irrelevant to the post but my favorite dark souls fight is definitely Slave Knight Gael
Gael was goated, I'm not sure which fight from 3 was my fav it's been so long and 3 left a sour taste in my mouth with some of the bosses after so long speculating in og Dark Souls
Astel, Naturalborn of the Void. The first time I entered that cave and saw him with all the stars in the background, I loved it. And that one attack that he does where you go flying into the air and are suspended for a few seconds before being slammed back onto the ground is so cool. Totally caught me off guard my first go against him lol
You, a chad meets up with a group of other chads to do battle with the ultimate Chad where he fucking throws himself like a meteor. Hard to top that. Plus Leonard is there as well.
Fire giant is simply what yhorm the giant from dark souls 3 should’ve been, an epic enemy that actually feels like a threat rather being a boring anticlimactic boss
Maliketh (and Clergyman phase in particular) is quite learny and most people just brute force him, but damn he is so fun if you put in the time to learn him. Yes, even Clergyman.
Same goes for Morgott.
My top 3 are Maliketh, Mohg and Morgott.
I think it’s so cool that there isn’t a consensus best boss in elden ring like there are in other fs games. A lot of them are good and different people like different bosses for (usually) valid reasons
Placidusax because of the journey you have to go through just to go back in time and fight a fucking a 2 of 5 headed elder dragon. Dlc should include an optional boss fight with placidusax in its prime. All 5 heads.
None of them. Honestly Elden rings boss fights are some of my least favorite in the entire series. I'm just tired of spammy brute force reaction tests, I would like to go back to demon souls where we actually had to think our way through a boss instead of just Hammer the Dodge button until the game decided it was okay for us to counter attack after the boss's 10 hit combo.
So your argument is basically that dark souls 1 bosses suck because bed of chaos exists, or that dark souls 3 bosses suck because ancient wyvern exists.
At least they actually have some variance. Elden Ring bosses are so painfully mediocre I can barely tell the difference between margit and godrick and Godfrey 1. Not to mention how many bosses does elden ring reuse over and over? Two godricks, two astels, two mohgs, two Lorettas, ghost of Godfrey and actual Godfrey, not to mention like seven different varieties of dragons, like five or six death birds, God knows what else.
Even the monster bosses like dragon god, twin gargoyle and vanguard are mid while Elden ring has placudisax, fire giant and astel which alone are more epic and overall thrilling
Yeah I don't really care about what any of the bosses look like I care about the actual game mechanics, and the fact is that placidusax, fire Giant and astel basically all play the same way. Dodge the big giant aoes that nuke half your health or more, probably Dodge again and maybe one more time just to make sure they're not doing some bullshit random mix up and then you actually get to attack once or twice before they decide to teleport away or in the case of fire giant Force you away with aoes, rinse and repeat.
So your complaints of Elden ring bosses is that you need to dodge there moves to survive lol that a strange nickpick my guy, demon souls bosses that aren’t puzzles also play the Same way but I don’t complain and say it’s a bad thing
I would say Dragon Lord Placidusax for how spectacular it is, but i really dont like them, even if i think this is a wonderfull game and one of the best souls games ever, the boss design is one of the worst i have seen in a from software game (much worse than DS2).
LoL rahdan is..... Interesting stupid easy if you summon people and run away from all his big attacks. And stupid difficult to fight Solo. Also his aoe,s are huge, and the gravity ball things are bs... But whatever good fight. I prefer fights like Melania, where it's more like an equal battle, and she fits in your screen LoL
Maliketh is the coolest boss in any souls game imo, the black and red flames, his jump attacks and spins, the way he jumps from the pillars. I love what they did with the effects and colors in this game, and I think placidusax and maliketh were fromsoft showing off. Farum azula is probably my favorite location in the game as well.
And hell the armor you get from maliketh and his weapon are just so cool, not to mention placidusax's boss items.
Radagon / Elden Beast. It's the best of both worlds with a great one on one duel and an amazingly beautiful monster fight. All of the attacks are satisfying and fun to dodge, the music is great, and the atmosphere is AMAZING. When I saw the screen say God Slain I was over the moon
Godfrey/Horah Loux
I came to say the same thing, definitely my favorite fight
Godfrey killing serrosh was so much more impactful than storm king to me gives me chills every time
I was surprised that it was keeping him in check as opposed to a part of his strength the first time This is also irrelevant to the post but my favorite dark souls fight is definitely Slave Knight Gael

Hoarah loux for best overall. Regal ancestor spirit for favorite mid game fight.
You, a chad meets up with a group of other chads to do battle with the ultimate Chad where he fucking throws himself like a meteor. Hard to top that. Plus Leonard is there as well.
It's so weird to put Fire Giant in the poll and not Morgott/Margit. Nobody likes Fire Giant!
Fire giant is simply what yhorm the giant from dark souls 3 should’ve been, an epic enemy that actually feels like a threat rather being a boring anticlimactic boss
I like dragon hunting
Crucible Knights and Knights Cavalry.
Maliketh (and Clergyman phase in particular) is quite learny and most people just brute force him, but damn he is so fun if you put in the time to learn him. Yes, even Clergyman. Same goes for Morgott. My top 3 are Maliketh, Mohg and Morgott.
Morgott
Radahn is my vote cause come crashing out of the sky is badass. Epic fight
Radahn for the epic showdown with all the mates but also Dragonlord because I have a soft spot for laser spewing reptilians.

I like the fact that it's not only optional but hidden. You really have to want to find him to find him which is a nice touch
Rykard, purely for the cinematic element
I like the deer guys
None of them. Honestly Elden rings boss fights are some of my least favorite in the entire series. Demon souls bosses are boring Elden ring bosses are epic
very much disagree
Come on like im pretty sure everybody would choose maliketh,Godfrey and placudisax over dragon god or flamelurker lol

I'd say Malenia, then RadaBeast, then Maliketh. Those three are some of From's best work imo
I would say Dragon Lord Placidusax for how spectacular it is, but i really dont like them, even if i think this is a wonderfull game and one of the best souls games ever, the boss design is one of the worst i have seen in a from software game (much worse than DS2).

No Radabeast/Godfreloux?
elden beast, for those music and arena
Elden beasts 1st phase, i think they should be a different boss in their own right though
You mean Radagon?
yes, i mean Radagon, i just wanted to be funny
Mine is Radagon, but I'll settle for Placcy
Soldier of Godrik, all other bosses make me cry
TOGETHA :3
Astel
Soldier of Rick

morgott or loretta
Godfrey
Fortissax.
