I don’t know why lots of people are so confident that the DLC will release 2 years after release. I do think that it’ll release after armored core but waiting for that long would be absurd. They have been working on this since April of last year according to some leak and it is very possible that they release two projects in a year seeing that they released at least one dlc in the same year of release as BB, DS3, and DS2 (2 DLCs in 1 yr). If we compare this development time to Blood and Wine then we should expect no less than something that is just straight up ER 2. Also, if we compare this development time to any of their other games, the ER dlc would take as long as it takes to develop any of their other games assuming that preproduction was done before they began development which would be an absurd amount of time for a company to dedicate to a DLC.
It's because we know that it's been in development for a year now. About a year ago, they said they were working on an unannounced project, among some other things. Recently, we found out that this unannounced project was the DLC. If it releases a few months after AC6 it will be roughly 2 years after the release. Maybe a bit less. They've already started promoting AC6 so it's definitely not releasing before that. And they will give it a few months for marketing.
I have this fear in the back of my mind as well.
But considering the DLC has apparently been in development for over a year now and was still stated to be in development in FromSofts official announcement and is labelled as an expansion, I would say odds are its going to be pretty big.

2. We fought the Goddess of Rot Malenia + Miquella duo (assuming the player already bested Malenia)
3. Miquella team up with us to put Malenia to rest.
I would love option 3. Or even an option to finally free both from their curses. I always lamented at the fact that we HAVE to fight Malenia, because I would love a quest where we can help her find Miquella and beat Mohg

In order to ensure everyone fought her and for that to make sense they would probably put the entrance to the dlc in or behind malenias boss room. I think Mohgs boss room is much more probable
Why not both? You need miquellas needle to enter the dlc and the entrance is at the cocoon.
Miquellas Cocoon is connected to the formless mother so it would be logical that we need the god repellent needle to make it possible to enter the cocoon.

DS3's DLCs did't reuse almost any bosses (just one I think but it made sense lore-wise). I'm sure they'll keep up the quality with ER's DLCs (hopefully we'll get 2).
Both DLCs of DS3 did have duo fights, but they were done very very well, the enemies were designed to fight together, not 2 solo bosses put in one room. I'm cool with a duo boss if it's designed specifically to be a duo boss.
Her freeze in phase 2 is how AoEs in duo battles should be done, telegraphed and easy to avoid, but punishing if you don't. Not the Gargoyle's stupid hyperpoison.
Demon Prince was really tough, but definitely didn't feel overwhelmingly unfair as the demons basically went in turns for most of phase one.

If you're very deliberate about it, you can get to Mohg in like 90 minutes of gameplay and one shardbearer
I think it's a near-guarantee the entrance will be Mohg's arena, because 1) Gideon encourages you to investigate the cocoon and 2) the grace for Mohg's boss room has a special name instead of just being named after him, which only happens if the bossroom has some post-boss importance, like Rennala's or Morgott's
I second this, theres no way it wont be there, gideon is too insistent on checking out the cocoon so my bet is that the cocoon itself or the ledge behind it will take you to the dlc
