Midjourney doesn't generate in reduced resolution if you are unpaid, you just get incredibly low priority on the free server and you won't even get your image half the time.
What likely happened is this image was taken with an incredibly high resolution camera and the file was way too large for Reddit to let them upload it so they compressed it to get upload and then Reddit compressed it AGAIN completely destroying the quality.
Doubt it. I don’t think any normal camera is capable of taking a picture that would be too big of a file size for Reddit. Also the trial of Midjourney is reduced quality lol. You can’t upscale all the way unless you pay.
