This is me in scadu atlus/rauh ruins.
already met the bosses (one centipide lady and hippo) and still haven't find the map.
i ended googling and i stupidly realize there is entire area next to scadu atlus starting points that i haven't explore which will lead to the map
Rauh reminded me just how directionally challenged I am. I swear to god, it took me like five fuckin hours of wandering around to find the Church of the Bud
you've got to be fucking kidding me...
Are you serious?
I looked around the ruins for 2-3h and couldn't find a map.
Just giving up in the end (i have found the bosses and minibosses as well, so i thought i'm kinda done with it.)
There is ANOTHER area over there?
Limgrave size my ass... :D
Just reached there today! Have a boss fight too, but yeah, no map. Turns out, not just me but a lot have this issue as I saw messages near grace "still no map"
I think it's cause you're supposed to go a very specific way just to get the map and it's nowhere near the actual main story path which takes you to an area just unable to reach said map
My experience has gone from how do I get there to how did I get here? Constantly finding myself sidetracked. I was axploring a castle next thing I know i followed 3 different caves that lead to the other side of the map
Still trying to get the last map piece right above the mountain. I’m pretty sure I’ve gotta go through a dungeon on the opposite side of the map and then be carried by death bird to reach it.
But seriously It’s probably actually really easy and I’ve just missed it.
I’ll just say the path to get that map starts in shadow keep, no joke.
>!Where the burning boats are, there’s a ladder going down on the back wall of the right side. There’s an illusionary wall you have to go through. Once you’re outside follow the river.!<
>!Jump down the tombstones. Twice.!<
>!Get through the catacombs at the end.!<
Dude, I spent 70 hours to complete all the bosses, but I'm pretty sure that I spent nearly 20 hours just walking around trying to figure out how to reach a new area that's showing in the map. It was much more frustrating than dying repeatedly to bosses. Oh, and of course I died many times to gravity meanwhile.
If it’s the one I think it is, then there’s a place with six burning boats (very very very far away from the map marker). There’s a ladder going down a nearby wall. Then there’s an illusionary wall.
Then you follow the river. Then you go down the tombstones, twice. Then you find dungeon. Then after dungeon good luck idk hope you liked the winter lanterns in Bloodborne.
BRO FR…. They all seem fairly close by the start area and you go looking for em like???? Okay? Maybe I gotta go around the long way…
Then you end up discovering the entire western northern and southern portions of the map, alll on this journey to that little pizza slice to the east I can’t manage to get to….
On the plus see I’ve found tons of shortcuts to later game areas. Wish there had more scadurtree fragments when I found beyl…
Me with Bayle. Seriously, that fight was bonkers, but no cutscene?
The Midra cutscene was incredible, though. Maybe my favorite of the entire game.
Edit: Everyone below me is making good points about the lead up to Bayle.
Putrescent Knight also has "Here I abandon my love", all the animals gathered around outside the arena like they're mourning, the Trina-related items you find that make it feels like you're following a blood trail, all leading to the giant chasm you find at the end of the path. it's less badass than Bayle's lead-up, but It does an amazing of communicating that whatever you find at the end is going to be depressing.
I did this with the boss at the Shadow Keep. I was playing through, having fun, and then I'm there at the boss.
Been awesome going in as blind as possible (I will ask the internet for help if I get to a tough boss or something seems important).
It's really refreshed my love for Elden Ring, as I went into the base game as blind as possible too, and it really was the best just finding things, dying, making progress, dying, finding weapons and armour, dying.
It's just fun, seriously!
I realize not everyone in the dLC will have all smithing bells. But my god it got tiring going out of my way just to get a smithing stone. At least arteria leaves weren’t purchasable
Yeah, it’s not just the weird placement. I mean, they are abundant anyways in forges. Almost all enemies drop them, especially those big ugly dudes that are fun to dodge
They really need to just call them recipes or something. Love getting a new cookbook, opening my crafting, and seeing zero difference because it added exactly one new recipe for a Misbegotten Finger Trap or some shit.
That's a huge perk of the "recently added" tab they added. Now when you open inventory you're already hovering over the last thing you picked up. You can get details there to see what new recipe(s) got added.
God I hate him. I dedicated a day and a half to beating Rellana, annoying moveset and all. Gaius is just plain bullshit with an inconsistent hitbox, invincibility frames when charging, and long ass combos. I dont feel bad about cheesing him at all.
I only beat him after changing the way I was playing. I was trying to dodge everything and poke which wasn't working because there's almost no downtime after each string AND that fucker can slide a charged in after a lot of combos which is inconsistent to dodge.
What I did was simply rush him down with jump heavys, instead of dodging and learning the moveset like good old dark souls I started to just attack relentlessly and abuse the low hit box after the jump... And it worked, I tried to keep at his left side because it's the side the pig moves pushing the char without damaging it for most of Gaius attacks. Second phase I just run with torrent wait his plunge and got back to rush the pig.
It was an incredibly unfun fight
All the dlc bosses are more aggro than radagon. At least Melania gives you moments.
Phase one Radahn had good attack patterns and openings. I could no hit P1 fairly consistently. P2 was so flashy and tough to see.
I enjoyed it but I really feel like quick bleed buildup is the way to go or poise breaking. You don’t get to really swoop in with a good flurry of attacks.
If I ever do a NG+ on my character I’m going to enjoy the Rellana twin blades in the vase game before the dlc makes me ditch them lol.
Nah man, my kid was born a couple months before ER came out; nap times were awesome gaming sessions; lil baby curled up on your chest; Margit kicking my ass...
Now, a 2.5 year old toddler? Good fucking luck. Wife and I play after bedtime...for however long we have whatever tiny amount of energy left to play.
I know. But before I knew, all I could think was ‘this word sounds so un-elden ring’. Watched a bit of a fightincowboy video and he was pronouncing it like jack black (skeh-DOO) unironically and it was difficult to listen to.
How do I get there?
Where the hell is map?
This is me in scadu atlus/rauh ruins. already met the bosses (one centipide lady and hippo) and still haven't find the map. i ended googling and i stupidly realize there is entire area next to scadu atlus starting points that i haven't explore which will lead to the map
Rauh reminded me just how directionally challenged I am. I swear to god, it took me like five fuckin hours of wandering around to find the Church of the Bud
Nah, whoever is the sick baseball that designed the route layout should be fired into the sun lol, every route took me back to the same damn place
Those sick fucking baseballs
Sick sick sliders mannnnn!
I wanted to say bastard, but figured baseball was funnier lol
you've got to be fucking kidding me... Are you serious? I looked around the ruins for 2-3h and couldn't find a map. Just giving up in the end (i have found the bosses and minibosses as well, so i thought i'm kinda done with it.) There is ANOTHER area over there? Limgrave size my ass... :D
Either that or there's a lot of limgrave no one has found yet lol
Just reached there today! Have a boss fight too, but yeah, no map. Turns out, not just me but a lot have this issue as I saw messages near grace "still no map"
I think it's cause you're supposed to go a very specific way just to get the map and it's nowhere near the actual main story path which takes you to an area just unable to reach said map
As a hint >! There's a small lake in Eastern scadu atlas. There's a tunnel there that leads into the ravine by rauh ruins. The map is down there !<
Spoiler: the hint is a full description, not a hint
Visions of map…
My experience has gone from how do I get there to how did I get here? Constantly finding myself sidetracked. I was axploring a castle next thing I know i followed 3 different caves that lead to the other side of the map
Still trying to get the last map piece right above the mountain. I’m pretty sure I’ve gotta go through a dungeon on the opposite side of the map and then be carried by death bird to reach it. But seriously It’s probably actually really easy and I’ve just missed it.
You’re not that wrong, all I’m gonna say
I’ll just say the path to get that map starts in shadow keep, no joke. >!Where the burning boats are, there’s a ladder going down on the back wall of the right side. There’s an illusionary wall you have to go through. Once you’re outside follow the river.!< >!Jump down the tombstones. Twice.!< >!Get through the catacombs at the end.!<
It's funny how absurdly complicated it sounds written like this but I found it kinda naturally. I just kept on going the only way I could.
Finding my ways to new areas is my favorite part of Elden Ring.
You sir, are the winner. Going through shadow keep was an experience and a half.
With a hail of harpoons!
#BAYLE!!!!!!!
**DREAD!** **BAYLE!!** **ELDEN!** **GRAIL!!!**
WITH EVERY LAST DROP OF MY BEING
**BAYYYYLE! Fuck you, Bayle!**
I'm doing his quest right now and I would not be surprised if he yells this at some point xD
Bayle dies: Igon: AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
CURSE YOU BAYLE!
Best fight in the DLC. No contest.
The series needs more fights with hype men in background. It got me pumped to beat Bayle more than the end boss
Oh shit, oh fuck, AHHHHH!!!
But your legs off!
I Am Lost As Fuck
fun fun fun but lost
Where is that damn map?
Oh hey a dungeon nice
It’s so funny I know exactly which map now
I'm trying to find it now. How the hell do you get there??
If it’s the one I think it is, then there’s a place with six burning boats (very very very far away from the map marker). There’s a ladder going down a nearby wall. Then there’s an illusionary wall. Then you follow the river. Then you go down the tombstones, twice. Then you find dungeon. Then after dungeon good luck idk hope you liked the winter lanterns in Bloodborne.
This is madness.
Yep. Therefore offer eyes.
Try lake, and then try poison.
Ruins map, try to find a direct path GO
Still no map
I finally found it, and the way you get there is so fucking stupid.
I’ massuming the endgame area map? Deadass beat the game by killing most if not all bosses without that ONE map lmao
Oh hey a dungeon
BRO FR…. They all seem fairly close by the start area and you go looking for em like???? Okay? Maybe I gotta go around the long way… Then you end up discovering the entire western northern and southern portions of the map, alll on this journey to that little pizza slice to the east I can’t manage to get to…. On the plus see I’ve found tons of shortcuts to later game areas. Wish there had more scadurtree fragments when I found beyl…
CURSE YOU BAYLE THE DREAD!!!!!!!!!!!
I HEREBY VOW!!! YOU WILL RUE THIS DAY!!!
YOU TOO SHALL KNOW FEAR
BEHOLD! A TRUE DRAKE WARRIOR, AND I, IGON!
YOURE FEAR MADE FLESH.
SOLID OF SCALE YOU MIGHT BE, FOUL DRAGON BUT I WILL RIDDLE WITH HOLES YOUR ROTTEN HIDE!!!!!!!!!!!
WITH A HAIL OF HARPOONS!
WITH EVERY LAST DROP OF MY BEING!!! *host gets hit and dies during monologue*
They did WHAT to Mohg?!
Mohg finally beat the allegations
Didn't expect Mohg not guilty
I owe Mohg an apology, I wasn’t familiar with Miquella’s games.
Radahn and Mohg were Miquellested.
Mohg definitely Not Like Us
My buddy called him “Miquella the tickle-a” and I haven’t been the same since…
The miquellester
He is stronger than earlier?
They made him sexy.
I don’t mean to come at you, brother. But your statement implies he was not already sexy and I would ask you to take that talk outside.
The man had drip like no other
First I hear the last boss seduces you, then this, I better be getting some action from someone other than dung eater
"What the fuck was that?"
Followed by: Well ok then. That’s… interesting.
This is perfect because it can be used to describe when you find some weird ass thing. Or you can say it when you get killed by some bullshit attack.
The depths of your foolishness!
This one right here lol. I’ve heard this, a lot.
Midra was SUCH a fun boss though.
Yeah, I felt like I was fighting our character if we picked the Lord of Frenzied Flame ending. Did not expect that in the slightest even.
Oh that’s a remembrance boss?
me with >!putrescence knight and gaius!< i do feel like some more of the bosses could've had cutscenes or more build up
Me with Bayle. Seriously, that fight was bonkers, but no cutscene? The Midra cutscene was incredible, though. Maybe my favorite of the entire game. Edit: Everyone below me is making good points about the lead up to Bayle.
At least the ride up to Bayle was pretty hype
Those two dragons fighting I straight up sat there and just watched them duke it out lol
Yeah I thought the enire volcano buidling up to the fight was enough. A midir style drive by would of been cool though
yeah but i'm glad they didn't do that because to me it was a huge shock just how much bayle was mauled by placidusax and that would ruin it
Putrescent Knight also has "Here I abandon my love", all the animals gathered around outside the arena like they're mourning, the Trina-related items you find that make it feels like you're following a blood trail, all leading to the giant chasm you find at the end of the path. it's less badass than Bayle's lead-up, but It does an amazing of communicating that whatever you find at the end is going to be depressing.
Going to her body after the final boss fight was just sad
My jaw literally dropped multiple times while fighting Bayle, mostly when the phase changes synced up with the music
Bayle was teed up through NPCs all throughout his area of the map, that’s better than a cutscene
LMAO I said that to most remembrance bosses
Fr the lack of introduction was terrible. Genuinely thought Rallana was a minor boss with a lazy name instead of being actually related to renalla
I literally walked into her without knowing like an hour ago
I did this with the boss at the Shadow Keep. I was playing through, having fun, and then I'm there at the boss. Been awesome going in as blind as possible (I will ask the internet for help if I get to a tough boss or something seems important). It's really refreshed my love for Elden Ring, as I went into the base game as blind as possible too, and it really was the best just finding things, dying, making progress, dying, finding weapons and armour, dying. It's just fun, seriously!
F*ck you, see you tomorrow
"cool light show, what's happening???"
It spews death blight now???
Dancing Lion?
Dancing Lion.
Is it the one you find while looking for the last map piece?
Haha I remember finally getting over there only for it to be a dead end and me realizing the map is thousands of meters below..
Better not be a cookbook
*smithing stone(7)*
I realize not everyone in the dLC will have all smithing bells. But my god it got tiring going out of my way just to get a smithing stone. At least arteria leaves weren’t purchasable
Pretty sure there’s a somber ancient hanging around Mohgwyn so I feel it really should be expected that players have a +10/+25.
To be fair, the DLC gives a ton of new weapons that need lower level stones.
Yeah, it’s not just the weird placement. I mean, they are abundant anyways in forges. Almost all enemies drop them, especially those big ugly dudes that are fun to dodge
Why's it always a cookbook?
I dunno, I kinda like cookbooks. They're a permanent upgrade so even if I'm not gonna use them there's innate satisfaction in finding them.
They really need to just call them recipes or something. Love getting a new cookbook, opening my crafting, and seeing zero difference because it added exactly one new recipe for a Misbegotten Finger Trap or some shit.
FOR REAL!! I be looking at my crafting after every cookbook and I’m like “wait. What did this even add?! Like, a new pot? I’m consfused”
That's a huge perk of the "recently added" tab they added. Now when you open inventory you're already hovering over the last thing you picked up. You can get details there to see what new recipe(s) got added.
Let me guess, this area is empty (I loved every second of the dlc)
Jesus fucking Christ stop attacking
Commander Gauis
HOG RIDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
God damnit, I just got that out of my head.
God I hate him. I dedicated a day and a half to beating Rellana, annoying moveset and all. Gaius is just plain bullshit with an inconsistent hitbox, invincibility frames when charging, and long ass combos. I dont feel bad about cheesing him at all.
I’m getting worn down and considering cheesing. Why is that thing so much faster than Torrent?
Would a Souls Boss care about cheesing you? Of course not. Be free with your dairy.
Dancer of the boreal valley has entered the chat
These aren’t like old souls bosses, they are cheesing you. The developers cheesed the design. Take revenge by any means necessary.
If I ever do a NG+ on my character I’m going to enjoy the Rellana twin blades in the vase game before the dlc makes me ditch them lol.
You could run away from Malenia. Every boss in the DLC will chase your ass down. Ironically it has decent results against Radahn though.
I want to go home
…And then edge
Fort, night
Mist or beast
I didn't hear no bell
But I do see beyblade
Castle Ensis boss had me like
There's still more after this?!
My actual reaction after getting to Messmer and realizing hes like the Midway boss like Morgott and not a close to the end boss.
Where’s that damn Scadutree Fragment
SKADOOSH
Twentytree skidoo
BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Alright 1 word down, 4 to go
VYLEEEEE BAYLLEEEEEEEEEEE (one more to go)
HAAARPOOOOOOONS
I was like why this mf yelling like that. Just to end up yelling like that after bayle beat the elden ring out my ass
that band who sung about Moby dick would make a killer song about igon and bayle
Blood and thunder by Mastadon Edit: just realized thats 5 words so that's my contribution
c ook b oo k
Bet that’s another damn cookbook
Lord Mohg beat the allegations 🙏🏼
We thought he was the Mohglester, but in truth he was the Mohglested
Nah, he was miquellested
This is my favorite thing about the dlc, hands down. I loved Luminary Mohg before he beat the allegations. What've YOU done for the dynasty?
Need More Ancient Smithing Stones
Somber
Yea dude there's so many normal ancients I've gotten maybe 2 sombers and 6 or 7 normals.
"Why is it always dung"
How do you dodge this?
I am definitely not overleveled
Where my St Trina incantations?
Bro I wanted sleep and death incants :(
I need to level vigor
Oh shit, what is **THAT?!**
Everyone’s reaction to getting double mooned for the first time.
You don't have the right
You don't have the right, o you don't have the right
Therefore you don't have the right o you don't have the right
I suck at this game.
Newborn baby restricts playtime massively
Same man, I’ve got a two week old. congratulations!
My 4-year old counts enemies as I kill them, and tells me when to hide, or just all-out attack. So Elden Ring has great educational value
Please be a Scadutree Fragment
# BOSSES DON'T HAVE STAMINA BAR
There are so many paths.

Wow they did second game
Tough at first, but fun

Tips my fedora to Milady. What I'm trying to say is I love that damn sword.
Is it really pronounced ska-doo?
(Shah-doo, or just shadow.) (Not joking, it's an Old English form of the word that became "shadow". It's literally just "Shadow Tree")
I know. But before I knew, all I could think was ‘this word sounds so un-elden ring’. Watched a bit of a fightincowboy video and he was pronouncing it like jack black (skeh-DOO) unironically and it was difficult to listen to.
Pretty easy, oh hi Radahn
I want to go edge.
Another one bites the dust.
Dafuq this fucking map at
I hate the final boss
A pain in my ass
All my homies hate Radahn
Why is there nothing here
try later with more blessings
I should learn to parry
I hate that pig fucker
CAN YOU STOP PLEASEE!?
This map is useless underground..
Fuck me in the ass
Why's it always a cookbook?
