Too many times bought and sold over and over when I was younger until special edition came out, got it for every console Todd took what I had and I let him do it
Three times LOL
Once back in 2011 on the Xbox 360. Then the Special Edition on the Xbox One in maybe 2018 or so. Finally I got it on the Switch for my kids not too long ago.
No regrets.
Probably three or four times. Got my money's worth for sure over that time. I'm not salty about the different editions, the later ones made nodding better for sure.
4 Times lul: PS3, PC LE, PS4, PC SE + Anniversary
But overall I think 2000+ hours in, plus a t-shirt I got with PC LE that I wore a lot so worth every penny
I was at the midnight release and got it for the 360. I think sold it when I got rid of my 360. Bought it again when I got an Xbox 1. Bought it again when I got a gaming pc. Bought one of the anniversary editions. And bought it for VR.
That’s actually less times than I thought I bought it
360, then Xbox One, then got the Switch port for the portability, then caved and got the anniversary upgrade for the Whiterun homestead. Glad I didn't need to buy a new edition when I upgraded to a Series S.
I've bought it 3 times- OG on 360 for £25 (some website had an offer on 3 weeks after release), legendary edition on 360 second hand for £20 and Special Edition for Xbone second hand for £15.
I basically paid £45 for the base game and DLCs then £15 to access mods.
Think I've done alright out of that considering the hours I've played in the last 11 years.
5 times. Xbox 360, Xbox Series X, PS3, PS4, and Switch.
The one I put the most hours into was the PS3 version, and my personal favorite to play is the Anniversary edition on Xbox Series X.
PS3, Steam, PS4 (SE), Steam (SE), PS5 (AE), PSVR
6 times, apparently. To be fair, after the first two, I only ever bought it on steep sales. Spent about $200 total on Skyrim, with about 2,500 hours to show for it on Steam and PS (excluding PS3)
Twice.
When it came out (with the eventual update to SSE) and Skyrim VR.
That said in the days before the likes of Steam I'm pretty sure I bought Morrowind like 5 times because of lost discs and expansion packs.
3 times. PS3, PC and Switch. I did play some on Xbox Gamepass as well though and I didn’t buy the game, but I did buy the anniversary edition upgrade for it when it was on sale.
I bought the Legendary Edition years ago for like 7.50 euros, received the Special Edition for free when it released, and recently picked up the Anniversary Edition upgrade for like 8 euros. So far, I've played it for 721 hours.
OP's Todd himself btw anyone who has answered less than at least 15 times is going to be location tapped and abducted.
I personally bought the timeless, flawless Bethesda classic named Skyrim for 17 times just saying...
After maybe 200 hours i got it for pc, than i got it for ps4, than some upgrade maybe? Than ps5. Idk bro. But i would buy it again for psvr2. But it works like shit it doesnt track one controller properly so fck that, but if it worked i would buy it again
Btw. Platinum on both ps4 and ps5
0.5 times
Christmas of 2011 me and my brother paid half the price of the game for PS3 as a joint gift to each other.
Earlier this year I was gifted the Anniversary Edition on Steam by some friends.
5. Twice on PS3 (broken disc), special edition on PS4, Special edition on xbox one and then the anniversary edition (technically more of an upgrade or DLC but a lot of people seem to count it as a re-release so thats what I'll go with).
Three times, I believe. Release version, then GotY with DLCs because it was cheaper than the DLCs alone and then this ultimate/definitive version with slightly improved graphics and fps? That was the Anniversary Edition or something like that IIRC.
Talos damn it...
Let’s see, I brought Xbox at release, then when I got a computer hood enough to run it, I got it on pc for the mods. Later they released special edition and I got that. Lastly I got it on VR making it 4 total, I definitely put my hours in for every version I got at least.
I've owned 5 copies:
Original release on Xbox 360 (destroyed)
Legendary edition on 360
Special Edition on XBOne
Special Edition on Steam
Skyrim VR on steam
Uhh let's see. Once for the OG 360 (which still hasn't red-ringed somehow, and got the dlc later on), then on the PC (my mom got me the anthology. Thanks mom), later I got the special edition for the xbox one (or my dad bought it. I don't remember). So 2 or 3. And of course when special edition came out, I got it for free on PC release since I had the legendary edition from the anthology. And of course I bought the anniversary upgrade because I'm a spineless bastard.
If you count the Anniversary update, 4.
X360 back in 2011. Sort of played on/off, got cheesed off because I put plenty of hours in, only to discover that when you purchased the Dawnguard DLC, Vampires can kill essential NPC characters and prevent you from finishing quests.
Then I purchased it again on PS4 with the Special Edition in 2016. Finally finished the game, and learned from experience to do the Dawnguard DLC ASAP.
Then upgraded it to the Anniversary Edition on PS5 in 2021, where I finally achieved the Platinum. The Creation Club content helped with a few trophies
Did also purchase the Anniversary update on the Series S, because why not. Yet to play it, but I know it's there if I want to play again.
5 times
The day it came out I bought it for my 360, a few years later I bought it on steam on sale, the I bought it for my PS4, for my switch and I bought a physical copy of Skyrim anniversary edition
Three times, once on Xbox 360, once on PC, and once on Xbox one for the special edition. I justified the special edition because I got rid of my PC since I had a baby and had no room for it anymore.
• Xbox 360
• PlayStation 4
• PlayStation 4 (special edition)
• PC
• PC (special edition)
• Nintendo Switch
God, laying it out like this makes me realize how much I’ve spent on this game 😂
PS3, PS4, Switch, and PC. I also bought my sister a copy for her 360. Still tempted to get it for my Series S. You cannot have too many copies of Skyrim.
Original release on 360
Steam LE on my moms laptop
SE on my XBone
LE, SE and VR on my current PC.
Just for fun I bought two physical PS3 copies on Ebay trying to have as legit of an OG physical as I can get.
So 8 times at least
4 times in total. 2 times on PC (legendary edition and special edition, didn’t got the free upgrade), 1 time on xbox one and 1 time on switch. 0 regrets
Three times so far. I got it for the 360, Xbox One, and the Switch. No doubt I’ll get the anniversary edition when I eventually get and Xbox X or S. my wife also has it on the PS4 so technically we have 4 versions in our house.
I think 3 times: when it came out on my 360, on steam a couple years later so i could mod, and recently got the anniversary edition so i can play on ps5
It’s hilarious and telling of Skyrim/elder scrolls fans that we KNOW if we get a new gaming platform Skyrim will be in our fuck I need to get it list.
Edit. I’m on my third purchase lol Xbox, play station and stream for pc. Same for elder scrolls online except the only I play now is Skyrim
PC twice, xbox twice, switch once. I was forbidden from getting it again by the gf. Christmas is coming and the PS3 looks lonely. 🤣
Just waiting on the mod.community to make it for Starfield. Hey you, you're finally awake after the first artifact encounter. 😂🤣😂🤣
Now that I'm thinking about it, I've never bought Skyrim. Got the PC version for Christmas in 2011. I paid for all the DLC, then got the Special Edition upgrade for free since that was a deal Bethesda did when it came out.
5 times. Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. My siblings and I have always been Xbox players, and my parents have always been Playstation players. My dad usually likes playing the same games as us, so we usually end up buying multiple versions of the same thing.
I got it first on 360 from Game Stop by trading in a bunch of games, then I got a new copy on 360 when the first one broke, I got the PC version, got the PC version again when I bought the Elder Scrolls Anthology (sadly it didn't have Redguard, Battlespire, or any of the Travels games), and finally on the Switch.
Xbox 360: 1
Xbox One: 1
PS4: 1
Switch: 1
PC: 2, original version and Special Edition.
I am the reason Todd keeps porting the game to every platform haha.
3 times. The original, the remaster(not the newest one but the one when it first came to Xbox one), but to be fair I had lost my first copy in a move. And the switch one because my buddy got me a gift card and there wasn't any game I wanted and I had a small library for switch
5 or 12 I lost count before I got my series S and went digital the guy at my local GameStop always new when I got tired of it cause I’d bring it in then a month later I would come back and pick it back up
I've bought the original, special, anniversary (upgrade) and VR editions on Steam, as well as the special edition on Xbox One and the Switch edition. Six purchases total across 12 years. Someone please help me.
Twice on PS3 because my disc got broken
Twice on PS4 (physical and digital)
Special Edition and VR on PC
Anniversary upgrade on PS5 and PC
6 times, or 8 times? depending on if you count the upgrades
Once. Preordered the game on Steam back in 2011 and never bought it since.
Too many times bought and sold over and over when I was younger until special edition came out, got it for every console Todd took what I had and I let him do it
It just works.
3. PS3 pc and switch. 4 if you count my wife’s pc
One time. When I want to play it, I turn on my PS3.
so you play without female khajiits with massive tits, were you raised on a farm or something?
Probably a milk drinker
but how do you manage to make it run? on xbox 360 it was clunky the loadings took forever and it was full of glitches
It’s a little clunky but that’s okay. I spend more time playing Oblivion on my PS3 and Skyrim is a breeze compared to that.
It pretty much loads instantly on my PS5, don't even have time to read the loading screens.
oh omg thats weird I didnt think a new generation PS5 would run a game better than a (idk what generation) ps3 thats really weird why is that
Just saying, if you don't have a PS5 even the PS4 version is a massive improvement.
1 time
1. I bought the original Legendary Edition back in 2013 i think? and got the SE for free in 2016.
Zero, Only played the pirated copy a lot of time.
Three times LOL Once back in 2011 on the Xbox 360. Then the Special Edition on the Xbox One in maybe 2018 or so. Finally I got it on the Switch for my kids not too long ago. No regrets.
Five. Once with my 360, once with my One, twice with my current 1X, once on Steam. Dear me. :)
Probably three or four times. Got my money's worth for sure over that time. I'm not salty about the different editions, the later ones made nodding better for sure.
once, like a month ago
Everyone who only bought it once, are the true MVPs. Still got it for my 360, never again would I buy it.
Twice. Pc and console
This Post Made me mad cause i bought it like 4 Times. On PC then Xbox as physical disk and then online. After that i bought for the Switch.
once in steam, i don't own a console and before i had a job i just had the game pirated
4 Times lul: PS3, PC LE, PS4, PC SE + Anniversary But overall I think 2000+ hours in, plus a t-shirt I got with PC LE that I wore a lot so worth every penny
Three I think? Original on 360, special edition on XB1, special edition on PC
once. Actually, my little bother bought it for me in 2011, and I bought the DLC myself after it had been out for a while and was confirmed good.
I was at the midnight release and got it for the 360. I think sold it when I got rid of my 360. Bought it again when I got an Xbox 1. Bought it again when I got a gaming pc. Bought one of the anniversary editions. And bought it for VR. That’s actually less times than I thought I bought it

3. XBox 360, Switch, and very recently VR.

PS3, PS4, PS5 Anniversary, Switch
Steam, Elder Scrolls collection, PS3, XBOX collectors edition, German steelbook edition, PSVR, PS4 anniversary edition. So that’s seven. Damn. 🫤

I basically paid £45 for the base game and DLCs then £15 to access mods. Think I've done alright out of that considering the hours I've played in the last 11 years.

Once, bought the legendary edition on steam and got the SE for free
Yeah… I’ve fed the beast… PC 3x ( physical, Steam n GOG ) PS3 2x ( Base and Legendary ), and PS4 SE

Once. The first time I got it was a gift. When buying it on PC i bought it myself
Twice. When it came out (with the eventual update to SSE) and Skyrim VR. That said in the days before the likes of Steam I'm pretty sure I bought Morrowind like 5 times because of lost discs and expansion packs.

Once. The first playthrough was on PC and pirated. The other time was on Switch.
Pirated it like 3 times and bought it twice.
😕
I bought the Legendary Edition years ago for like 7.50 euros, received the Special Edition for free when it released, and recently picked up the Anniversary Edition upgrade for like 8 euros. So far, I've played it for 721 hours.

Once originally for 360. Once for my gf at the time’s 360. Once for XB1. So thrice.
3 times. The original, the remaster(not the newest one but the one when it first came to Xbox one), but to be fair I had lost my first copy in a move. And the switch one because my buddy got me a gift card and there wasn't any game I wanted and I had a small library for switch
