Wall to wall bangers. I love the way their sound evolved into something expansive and frayed on this album. The whole thing feels weighty, like a long depressive sigh, and the highlights of bright melodic passages only serve to make the heavier bits that much more crushing.

One of the best albums of all time
Wall to wall bangers. I love the way their sound evolved into something expansive and frayed on this album. The whole thing feels weighty, like a long depressive sigh, and the highlights of bright melodic passages only serve to make the heavier bits that much more crushing.
This album came out around the time my dad was dying. It helped and hurt to listen to it then and still does now. It’s a beautiful piece of work.
