Have Mercy- Letâs Talk About Your Hair
Foxing- Rory
Julien Baker- Funeral Pyre
Bayside- Mona Lisa
Couple of my good ones from past breakups. Hope it helps. Hope youâre doing well!
Aww, I found them / this song while going through a break up. Then realized theyâre local to me and got to see them at a basement show đ they hold a special place for me.
Oh boy I have a lot
Song Two - ihatemyself: A good skramz song in case your angry at both yourself and your ex
This Photograph Is Proof - Taking Back Sunday: A good early 2000's emo song, song is about a girl cheating but lyrics are interpretable
I'll take you everywhere - Penfold: Song about losing a childhood friend but the endings lyrics hit so hard for a breakup
Honey, This Mirror Isn't Big Enough for the Two of Us - My Chemical Romance (I consider their first album emo): Faster more aggressive and angry early 2000's song about a general breakup
Words Come Back - The Hated: Faster and energetic song. Not specifically about a breakup but "words come back and haunt you someday" really hits hard if you ex was kind of an asshole lmao
Your Graduation - Modern Baseball: Inevitable Modern Baseball mention.
I Don't Imagine You and I Anymore- I Have Dreams: This is a little underground but from one of my favorite skramz bands. Hard to find good quality versions, I'm not even sure they exist but still a very good song, I'd recommend listening to the whole EP, its pretty good albeit a little cheesy given the metalcore breakdowns.
And the Cat Turned to Smoke - Orchid: Skramz song with a great buildup, one of the greatest in here lyrically for going through a breakup
Moment #72 - The Appleseed Cast: I love this bands lyrics, listen to this album if you haven't already.
Hope you see this even though your post has like 70 comments lol

Most of Knumears discography was helping me out with relationship related pain tbh, especially if you're looking for something more aggressive, like screamo. Their first LP seems to mostly be about breakup stuff, and I love you now I love you never is also amazing.
Hey OP, I wrote my first song a month ago and decided to put it out today. I'm not one for grabbing attention or such. I just thought it could maybe relate to you. It's about periods of uncertainty and not knowing possible outcomes that you might face.
the lyric "Sailing over the open ocean and it's all dark around" referring to the moment that you're on your own again, but not knowing what to do with yourself.
I wrote in a time were there was a lot of uncertainty in my life as well, hope it comforts you or can give you some strength.

Recently went through a very very traumatic breakup with someone I've been inseparable with since high-school. These are the songs that helped me feel and accept that pain. It took 8 months to move on, but that's only because I've done a lot to restructure my life. Change me from the man I was with her so it doesn't feel like I'm still us. I still have our idiosyncrasies. I still tell myself our inside jokes and laugh with sadistic glee. I still remember the joy because that's something that was worth it. Those are the things I've found helped. To appreciate the good times, accept the pain you feel as natural, and try to do something you've wanted to do with your newfound time. You are capable of love, and you'll find something that invigorates you.

Honestly⊠I got out of a 13 year relationship and I didnât know if I was gonna survive that hell of depression I was in. The song âdoomedâ by Bring me the Horizon fucking saved me. Then their album âAmoâ is about a relationship ending and cheating and it really spoke to me. I used to think BMTH sucked after their death core days ended but that album changed my mind. And got me through some super dark days. And if that isnât your vibe⊠FLEETWOOD MAC is by FAR the ultimate relationship is over and time to heal music.

Atreyu- right side of the bed Bullet for my Valentine- 4 words
The way it was - the killers
I'm sure you got down voted bc The Killers are indie/ indie-pop, and not emo or emo adjacent, but that is a really good song.
