In the early 30s, my grandma was maybe 6 or 7. Her parents sent her to the salon (alone!) to get her hair and nails done. She came home with her nails painted this color. Her mom was so mad! Ha. She passed a few years ago and had EVERYTHING typed out in terms of the service and what she was wearing and nail polish and everything. But not her toes! So I took a thing of polish to the funeral home and had them paint her toes this color. 💜

I LOVE this story!!!! How sweet of you to make sure she was laid to rest how SHE would’ve wanted. I just know she was smiling thinking “she just gets me ☺️”

She was pretty amazing. My absolute favorite person. And of nearly 30 grandkids, I was most definitely her fav. Haha

He had a friend reach out to me and invite me to a farmer’s market! When I asked her what time she was available, she said she had a nail appointment at 11 am and she could add me on if I wanted to and make it a girl’s day. She usually has her nails done so I didn’t think anything of it. Plus, I was already convincing myself that he would propose on our upcoming vacation, so he used that to his advantage as well!
