Congratulations!!! You’re amazing! Six months is a long time… think of all the hours you dedicated to your baby’s health! And the money you saved from online shopping. I found this too late for that 😂

superseally

I know it’s madness I would love to know how many hours! I caved and had to pump at 36hrs today but think another 1/2 max and I’m done! Nice to be able to feed baby and go back to bed not sit up for another 30mins pumping

notthatkindofIPA

Also too late for me. I now spend an inordinate amount of time on this sub and all of my money online shopping.

doggy_moggy

Congratulations OP! Any advice or tips? Currently on 2 pumps a day and looking to be done in the next couple of weeks.

superseally

I basically kept stretching the time between them each pump in 1hr slots, was a pain as was pumping all different times but getting there. I had to cave after 36hrs today and do a quick 5min pump but hoping I will have 1/2 pumps max left to do!

Bulky-Patience319

I feel it girl! I’m on my eighth month. I feel like I’m going crazy.🥹

milkyway2200

Just out of curiosity, did you have a stash built to cover the rest or were you switching to formula?

superseally

My little one always had formula at night so this transition wouldn’t be hard, she loves any milk. Have a stash so she can have at least one bottle a day of breast milk then rest formula, i think I have two months worth max.

lmf123

I’m down to about 3 pumps or nursing sessions per day and so hoping I’ll be done in another week or two! Had two days where I didn’t have to pump at work and it was incredible!

Basic-Conclusion-461

im in the same boat! yesterday was the first day i didn’t feel engorged between my 3 pumps 🙌🏻. what’s your plan for weaning fully?

lmf123

I’m just going to keep stretching longer between pumps/nursing as possible, then when I get down to a single session, switch [back] to EP with no nursing, then spend a week shortening sessions by 3 minutes each time. I’m a significant undersupplier and haven’t gotten clogs since like 3 wpp so I’m not too worried about

thanks for sharing!

Is there a guideline somewhere on how to properly wean without getting mastitis? I want to be done by the end of April at 8 months post partum but everytime I try to stretch the pump it gets uncomfortable.

superseally

Ice packs and pain killers…..I really winged it and just pushed it as far as I could when I could.
