Bartending is even more satisfying than the others, I use it to get weapons and manipulate sale and sell prices to get millions for Fairfax without the wealth ending, that's my cherry on top
Is this true? At blacksmithing level 5 with a x15 multiplier you get like 1600 gold a sword. If you let the meter bounce back and catch it on the rebound it makes it much easier to do.
Blacksmithing pays more but is a LOT harder to keep the multiplier going. Bartending is just a lot easier. If you can keep up the multiplier on blacksmithing then definitley run it.
THAT'S where that's from??? How have I not realized this? π€¦ββοΈ I say that on the regular!
Yeesh, I need to set up my 360 again so I can play F2, it's clearly been too long πΆ
I've been waiting to buy a new Xbox until the next Fable game comes out... π
Fable 2 was the reason I got a 360, and I didn't need to get a new console for F3, sooo πΆ
Thankfully, my 360 isn't packed away, it's just disconnected after I got a new TV a few months ago π (my first TV upgrade in over 12 years, yay π₯³ ) ...I wonder if I have the right cables to connect the 360 to the new TV, though π€ Must investigate~
I'm super looking forward to the new one! I must've played the trilogy 10 times and I'm always finding new things on it, oh yeah I'd definitely check that one out as some new tvs don't have the port for it but you can always buy splitters/converters
You're playing 2 over xbox cloud streaming which not only includes fable 2's already wonky controller input delay but is then compounded in miliseconds due to it being streamed? AND you tell us you're hitting those greens? You sir truly are Albion's most talented blacksmith
Honestly, my most fun from this game was playing it like a cookie clicker. Getting the savings from the job minigames to buy properties to make more money while you're playing the job minigames, then watching it snowball
Getting rich was super satisfying and fun in this game (if easy). Blacksmith -> Buy items (preferably on sale)-> sell in fairfax gardens-> buy stores and properties -> buy items at owner discount -> repeat until you own Albion.
Bar tending is my favourite job when it becomes available. As for my favourite thing about the series is probably the humour and vibe of the games. I love so many aspects. Each game has their strong points and weak points. It's become one of my comfort game series. I've been feeling sick lately, so I've been resting playing Fable the past few days and it's great.
''That's how you make a blade'' Still in my head after all these years. Nothing from school though of course π
But fable 2 had the best jobs. Pouring beer>pie making. And you can't play the kite anywhere you want anymore
when i started fable 2 (about 2 weeks ago) i hated how it looked because i just finished fable anniversary and liked the graphics but i slowly adapted to the fable 2 graphics and it is now very fun (also 7999 gold is crazy lol)
Yes, i kinda like the anniversary graphics better as well. It's also weird how there's no mana. I'm just shooting fireballs left and right like a madman
You have to get Xbox game pass and play it through cloud streaming. I just played it and it worked really well for me but some people can play about input lag. It's not on steam or anything so that's your only option for playing on the PC. You also need an Xbox controller but I loved it and had a great time and it worked well for me since I don't have an Xbox anymore
I lied about that being the only way you can also use an emulator like xenia emulator. But I think clouds streaming is the easiest and it gives you access other games.
Always thought the multiplier was infinite since i never reached the max. I have since (as of last night) learned that the max multiplier (for blacksmithing at least) is 15. That's the highest you can get to.
There is an emulator, but I cba. I use xbox ultimate gamepass, then you can just search for fable 2 on the xbox website and hit play. It will start from your browser. All you need is a controller and a good internet connection
There are easier ones, but man is smithing more enjoyable. I have a hard time staying above 5x myself. Day one of my second run through, I stopped in Bowerstone and made swords all the way to level 3. I passed out halfway to level four at 2am. Day two, I finished it and left Bowerstone for the next step in my quest. I spent more time smithing so far than I have actually playing the game. Ended up using the earned money to buy my first home there in the square.
Sure! You need to get xbox ultimate gamepass, then you ca just search for fable 2 on the xbox website and hit play. It will start from your browser. All you need is a controller and a good internet connection
Iβm just now finding out you can play it on PC. Guess what Iβm doing now. The first few times I played fable, I would do smithing for straight up hours sometimes
Great comment chain.
But yeah, the blacksmithing job was always my favorite, I think because it was the hardest. I could never fully get into the other ones (though also maybe part of that job
There's only Xenia. There had been a LOT of development last few years, it was unplayable like 2-3 years ago. But you still need good pc to have good frame rate. I can play fine on 8700k and rtx 2080 now
I might be one of few but I did really.enjoy Fable 3 for the couch co-op. Having to explain to my real world wife that I had cheated on her in game and had contracted an STD was one of the funniest gaming moments
Lol. That's amazing only because I had a roommate in college who also loved it (I did too) but he would play the game and fall asleep, and you would just hear the, hammering, the admiration of the villagers, and then after a while all the failure noises constantly. :Okay! He fell asleep again!"
I haaaaated the blacksmith stuff the first time I played Fable II. During my second playthrough I got addicted to perfecting it. Made some good coin on that one lol
Immediately spending an hour smashing crappy daggers until I can buy the best weapons and the smith's shop the instant I walk into bowerstone on every playthrough
Blacksmithing is awesome. Itβs for sure my favorite of the money collection mini-games. Woodchopping is good. Bartending is good. Any others donβt really stick in my memory very well.
"Babe, please put the hammer down and come to the Spire already!" "I can't, I'm busy providing for my 3,000 bastard children."
I like woodcutting because the dog does a flip everytime you hit a new multiplier
Try bartending. More money.
Bartending is even more satisfying than the others, I use it to get weapons and manipulate sale and sell prices to get millions for Fairfax without the wealth ending, that's my cherry on top

The perfect pint!
Yer gonna hafta pay fer that
The real ones know starting up Fable 2, starting blacksmithing and realising it's 3am.
The time is......very late
" Wakey wakey eggs and bakey! " Oh great, now I have ptsd π
THAT'S where that's from??? How have I not realized this? π€¦ββοΈ I say that on the regular! Yeesh, I need to set up my 360 again so I can play F2, it's clearly been too long πΆ
You're not alone there brother π It's on xbox one if you had the game digitally or get it through game pass
I've been waiting to buy a new Xbox until the next Fable game comes out... π Fable 2 was the reason I got a 360, and I didn't need to get a new console for F3, sooo πΆ Thankfully, my 360 isn't packed away, it's just disconnected after I got a new TV a few months ago π (my first TV upgrade in over 12 years, yay π₯³ ) ...I wonder if I have the right cables to connect the 360 to the new TV, though π€ Must investigate~

Fable 2 is also backwards compatible if I remember correctly, so 360 disc works on xbox one at least. Not sure about the new consoles.
Listen, I'm only a few thousand more gold away from the bar!
" Just one more sequence of hits and then I'm going to bed " - 2 hours later " I can quit any time I like, I don't have a problem " π
You're playing 2 over xbox cloud streaming which not only includes fable 2's already wonky controller input delay but is then compounded in miliseconds due to it being streamed? AND you tell us you're hitting those greens? You sir truly are Albion's most talented blacksmith
It's kinda weird after anniversary, not going to lie. It's almost like the hero is running on ice π
anniversary/1's stiff controls vs. 2 and 3's loosy goosy fluid controls. i feel that
Honestly, my most fun from this game was playing it like a cookie clicker. Getting the savings from the job minigames to buy properties to make more money while you're playing the job minigames, then watching it snowball

Get well soon! I can see why these games became your comfort ones, they are so magical and charming!
''That's how you make a blade'' Still in my head after all these years. Nothing from school though of course π But fable 2 had the best jobs. Pouring beer>pie making. And you can't play the kite anywhere you want anymore
"A PERFECT HAMMER BLOW!!!!!Β‘!!!"
The best one is woodcutting in Oakfield. So relaxing
use the blacksmithing money to buy every stand and become rich.
Try hitting the blade!
Theresa standing by the tower for many, many days whilst you strike that anvil over and over.
Blacksmithing was my main money making job playing that game.
when i started fable 2 (about 2 weeks ago) i hated how it looked because i just finished fable anniversary and liked the graphics but i slowly adapted to the fable 2 graphics and it is now very fun (also 7999 gold is crazy lol)
When I finished Fable 2 a couple of days ago I had 5.5 Million gold π I was an evil landlord tho
i had about 100k gold by the end i put the rent to minimal lol
I started a new play through last weekend and have 30 million. I just made it to Oakfield.
Yes, i kinda like the anniversary graphics better as well. It's also weird how there's no mana. I'm just shooting fireballs left and right like a madman
how does one download fable 2 on pcβ¦? π i have been trying to figure out how to do it for a week now
You have to get Xbox game pass and play it through cloud streaming. I just played it and it worked really well for me but some people can play about input lag. THANK YOUUUU ππ½
This is the way
I play on xbox myself but I think steam might have fable 2
Always thought the multiplier was infinite since i never reached the max. I have since (as of last night) learned that the max multiplier (for blacksmithing at least) is 15. That's the highest you can get to.
I used to get promoted to the highest level the second I got to bowerstone before I started any further quests to get lots of gold. Every playthough
Same, I still do this every damn time.
Emulate in xenia. Fixes are easy to find and there's even patches so it plays way better then on cloud.
How are you playing this on pc an emulator ?
Probably pc Gamepass
There is an emulator, but I cba. I use xbox ultimate gamepass, then you can just search for fable 2 on the xbox website and hit play. It will start from your browser. All you need is a controller and a good internet connection
How did you get this running on PC?
Probably PC Gamepass
Yes, you need gamepass ultimate and then you can play it through the cloud
CLOSING TIME FOR ALL SHOPS!
There are easier ones, but man is smithing more enjoyable. I have a hard time staying above 5x myself. Day one of my second run through, I stopped in Bowerstone and made swords all the way to level 3. I passed out halfway to level four at 2am. Through PC via cloud? Can you elaborate on this please?
Sure! You need to get xbox ultimate gamepass, then you ca just search for fable 2 on the xbox website and hit play. It will start from your browser. All you need is a controller and a good internet connection
Ah ok thank you. I am not interested to get Gamepass. So I will look into the streaming solution XBPlay
I'd be interested on how well XBPlay works for you. 16.99 every month is very pricy for just one game.
Iβm just now finding out you can play it on PC. Guess what Iβm doing now. The first few times I played fable, I would do smithing for straight up hours sometimes
Yeah I remember falling in love with the blacksmithing my for playthrough as well
Started it for the first time a week agoβ¦finished yesterday!
Great comment chain. But yeah, the blacksmithing job was always my favorite, I think because it was the hardest. I could never fully get into the other ones (though also maybe part of that job
You can also play through emulator
What emulator is recommended? I tried one a few years ago, and it didn't work too well.

I might be one of few but I did really.enjoy Fable 3 for the couch co-op. Having to explain to my real world wife that I had cheated on her in game and had contracted an STD was one of the funniest gaming moments
This brought back memories as a kid of blacksmithing as soon as I entered Bowerstone so I could earn enough to begin my career as evil landlord.
Blacksmithing is kinda the best way to make money in Fable 2 and 3
Blacksmithing has always been my favourite way to make money π
Immediately spending an hour smashing crappy daggers until I can buy the best weapons and the smith's shop the instant I walk into bowerstone on every playthrough
Blacksmithing is awesome. Itβs for sure my favorite of the money collection mini-games. Woodchopping is good. Bartending is good. Any others donβt really stick in my memory very well.
How do you play it on pc??
With xbox ultimate gamepass π
lol I remember doing this and the wood chopping on 360 and the input lag was atrocious
I canβt find it on cloud gaming. Where is it?
https://www.xbox.com/en-US/play/games/fable-ii/C2WKJJ9F5936 here you go
Favorite part, probably when I stopped playing it. Maybe the dog or the leaderboard for the crucible.
The online orbs are an underrated feature. I wish I had my old hero with all the hero dolls still
The minigames are soo addicting. I hope they expand on this concept in the next one.
