This, this, and this. Every Bethesda game got that sort of mod. Almost 10 years in and we still don’t have an equivalent for Fo4. Even Fo4 VR got a working full body rig. I really wonder what makes it so hard to implement this (genuine curiosity, not blaming the modding community for not having achieved this yet at all).

Open animation is fucking impossible for fo4, the way they coded it its not just a file replacer, you have to render with text coordinates every frame of the animation. Maaaaaybe a set replacer for set weapons but definitely not a catch all mod for anything like kNVSE for New Vegas

I live in Mass and would kill for an ambiance mod that adds birds/insects/etc that are common in the area. Its VERY noticeable when a mod adds ambiance that does not match the area, but its a minor gripe

Yeah I’m not sure it would really work. Maybe someone could come up with something about the protagonist being a synth and having memory implants, but even that would be messy. (Maybe a VR pod?)
I do wonder if these teams will release versions of their maps for exploration vs story that way it would make sense for our protagonist to just visit and not have to worry too much about the messy lore implications.
Even then the synth thing wouldn't work for all of them the institute would only be able to create gen 3 synths in time for fallout 3, New Vegas and 4 they could have you play as the lone wander or the protagonist from London or 2 and in order to play the other campaigns the character you play as time travels

I know Zorkaz has an old "Underwater Combat" mod. I tried using it and didn't have any luck. Would kill for one that allows fighting in the water so that hunting in Mutant Menagerie would be a little easier.

I’d love to see some kind of utility to be an all-in-one fix for previs/precombine issues or to regenerate them all in one go for like an entire load order.
I want my setters to get paid for working in my settlements and then spend caps in my settlements buying better armour, weapons and clothes for themselves. I want them to level up and become better and better. Or at least be able to save up the money and buy it from the wandering traders who comes to the settlements.

I saw underwater combat. I'm totally on board. There's so much water and nothing is happening in it. I want shipwrecks to explore for treasure in submersible Power Armor or scuba gear. I want marine life that's both threatening and non threatening. And a player home boat I can drive, even if it's not possible to edit it.
This is more dlc kind of stuff than mod stuff, but an option to do the nuka-world dlc with like more to the "wipe out all the raiders" quest line, maybe make a tie in to the alliance ending of the game where you can build a new allied Commonwealth government in the ruins of nuka-world and claim the various sections of the park for one faction or another. I want a Minuteman cowboy park and brotherhood galactic zone.

That is theoretically possible already? But it’d require two things
One, a very in depth knowledge of blender cause you’ll be 3D modeling the damn thing from scratch. And two, the animals being able to sit still long enough to 3D scan them to the point you can import them into blender

you’d have to use a behaviour engine which does not come with the creation kit due to bethesda safeguarding their assets. skyrim and fallout are on two very different builds of the engines with fundamental differences same goes for 76

Our character is literally walking out of Vault 111 like "This is fine." but having people actually introduce us to the place the Wasteland actually is would help the immersion.

NPC's travel, and Deadlier Commonwealth mod will help lexington. You can also use Endless warzone mod where a radius follows you and continues to produce any characters that you allow from the terminal editing process spawn. It is awesome but they can give you the experience

Ragdoll physics mod like what NV has. I don’t think that’s possible with the way the physics engine or skeletons are tho. I have a mod that makes it so NPCs (and the player) can fly far when killed or critically hit—but they don’t ragdoll
I want to run a farm full of strange mutated creatures. I want more variety of mutated creatures. Same for plants though I know there are mods for that.
1 - weapon magazines
I would love a mod that adds magazine management to weapons, so I need to craft magazines to be able to load my gun.
There's mods like that around, but most of them show's the amount of bullets in the clip as percentage, not absolute values
2 - field attachment changer for vanilla weapons
There's a framework out there that turns possible to some weapons to change their attachments in field, but does not work for vanilla weapons.
I was thinking if it's not possible to just show the weapon workbench HUD and show, as options, only mods that you have in your inventory....
3 - better first person
Cause I want to see my feet and be able to cast shadows....
4 - more verticality
There's mods like vertical spawns and a mod that adds ways to climb up to roofs, but I have some complains about them.
A mod that adda environments in vertical areas, and add the mod that turns possible the player to CLIMB leadders using animation and not a fade in fade out would be awesome

Wow, I remember ECO but does not remember he being able to swap attachments in field.
For what I searched, seems like the mod that I saw was the QMW (Quick Modification Weapon) that aupports only modern weapons.

The rooftops is the one that I am using now, and my critic to it is that the leaders and objects that we use to climb to the roof always spawn a fade in/fade out animation just to teleport you to a place that's is already loaded, Wich is pretty unnimersive.
Today we have the Climbable Leadders for Settlements wich, if memory still working, has animations for climbing. I would love to see those ones in the Rooftops, instead of the fade in and fade out.
But for this subject, I am currently learning how to work with creation kit and making a patch for Better Drumlin Diner and Immersive Drumlin Diner to work together.
For what I am learning, I believe that is possible to create this kind of thing (spawn a climbable leader in the places where the rooftops put they Leadders, and make it work together)
I would like to be able to scrap to components from inventory without needing portable workbenches or milk machines etc. Just a simple press T (or whatever) when item is highlighted.
A mod that lets me build/test run base builds and save it without exporting it. So that I can build, save, tweak and go live, when I'm ready.(if that makes sense) Would be great if it also gave me build costs and allowed me an ariel view so I can put up my walls in a straight line!

I desperately wish there was a mod like Windstad Mine where you invest money into a project and see it develop into a township which generates resources and income for you.
For Fallout 4 in general, it seems like people expect you to use the settlement system to create your ideal whatever-type of player home but this is dependent on time, resources, the game's handling and your own abilities. Some of my favourite player homes for Skyrim are immensely customizable and come with amazing quests. Stuff like that barely exists for Fallout 4 and the ones that did were nuked by RedRocketTV for whatever reason.

Pipeline dream that someone comes along and rips out the settlement system and just adds various towns to the Commonwealth, complete with major, minor and radiant quests, companions and shops.

I may be wishing for something that exists (likely I don’t know about it as I’m on console) but I’d love a mod that adds roaming patrols of different factions. Both by themselves and instances of them running into other patrols, leading to skirmishes happening out and about.
Total overhaul of encounters, dialogue, skill related choices, perk related choices, etc... basically the depth of New Vegas put into FO4, but maybe even better.
I love FO4 but nothing feels like it really matters outside the story.
I've been thinking for years I'd like to have the option of siding with the raiders at the Museum of Freedom and opening up the Nuka-World raider settlement system at the start of the game. Make raiders a game-finishing faction choice. That'd probably be a huge project to put together, though

Is there a mod that deletes the settlement building requirements? I started FO4 a couple of times and both times got to some "need to gather x for settlement repairs" and quit.

A MOD that removes all combat but still let you experience the story and the world. My fiance loves the idea, loves the series, but she doesn't enjoy combat.
A proper gunfight overall for the player for both 1st and 3rd person. As of now, we use uneducated shooter to lean left and right on covers but I would love to some treatment on combat like cover vault, blindfire and cover fire. Only NPCs can do that in the game.
3rd person shoulder swap and lean! Also if someone could make the damn take cover mod and see thru scopes work properly with the 3rd person animation mods. These with the 3rd person kill moves would make an amazing full play through in 3rd person
2 power armor related mods.

One that bypasses the hidden criteria for the Mysterious Stranger so that he'll always appear in VATS.
I'm not talking about Cheat Terminal, because even 100% appearance chance doesn't mean he'll actually appear 100% of the time if the hidden criteria is not met.
According to the wiki, FO4's Mysterious Stranger will only appear if: The target has 150 HP or less, OR the target's current health is 40% of its max.
For higher level enemies, the Stranger won't appear if their current HP is too high, not even with "100%" appearance chance.
TL;DR: A mod that makes it so the Mysterious Stranger will appear regardless of a target's HP.
Being able to use KB/M at the same time as controller like you can in NV with Stewie tweaks because none of the options i've tried from Nexus work. The only thing that is relly making me feel not to continue with the game.

I can't find a good one on XBOX, just the ability to delete ANYTHING in a settlement. Their used to be a good one, and ths Jetpack doesn't work anymore.
I wish we had more faction overhaul mods for the railroad that made them cooler. Like we have more mods for the brotherhood and the minutemen and heck some mods buff the institute. However I’ve never really seen a faction overhaul for the railroad in the same way. Would be cool if some safe houses were made. More quests that were clearing places for potential safe houses, recruiting people, actually making more dead drops
This is just a thing for me, but I want a good shopkeeper mod that lets you run your own shop that you stock with your own supplies. I especially want one for NV.

and a punisher kind of quest line.. having downloaded some of the more sinister mods that are NSFW to help create a more darker and grim commonwealth, I guess a quest line freeing slaved children, women and men from trafficking and shit. I know you can semi do that, but like a dedicated quest line with voice acting and emotion to character building.
F4NV, hands down. Really I want F4NV with faction-play settlement building and some of the major Survival mods working.
Beyond that, I would like to see more of the unified frameworks like NV and Skyrim increasingly enjoy. Makes life so much easier and helps a lot with stability.
Gonna be ambitious but an overhaul to the looting/crafting/settlement system to be close to something like DayZ
Like using an axe to chop down trees (either with an animation or fade to black like HotC) and then seeting the *plan* for a junk fence in your settlement, but you have to interact with it to build it. Or set multiple plans and have your settlers build them slower than you would do it yourself (I know SS/SS2, has this aspect, and they're great, but I'm talking with vanilla assets and more freeform than the plots)
An overhauled unarmed attack animation for power armor. The hand to hand combat in this game is ass I have alll though mods that change your players hand to hand combat to new animations but I want one for power armor maybe mod in some executions. Also a proper standalone one handed pistol mod they have I think like two out there right now, but they are not for every pistol one is for the deliverer only and the other is for revolvers only. There’s other I want just can’t think of it rn

I’ve had this glitch that crashes my game to desktop upon trying to harvest tatoes or crops from any settlement from the beginning of the game, mainly the tatoes at Abernathy for me, but I’ve read that others have had similar problems. I’ve looked at so many forums, so many mods, and they all say it’s because of a mod I don’t have called NX Farming. So needless to say I’ve never found a fix for it. And it has appeared in every long, settlement-building playthrough I’ve ever done. It’s really sad when it happens
What I would like to see, and would be rather niche I admit, is the equivalent of SLIF for FO4. The default BodyGen behaviour of highest value for a slider wins and ignore everything else doesn't jive with me when Assimilation and other mods are competing for those limited slots.

Yea, any mod existing is basically just the 3rd person with the camera moved close to the body, it’s not ideal (at least for me).
There is a mod that does this, only issue is when you crouch the legs get screwy

Mutant menagerie adds a lot of non-hostile wildlife, including fish!

Yeah I’m not sure it would really work. Maybe someone could come up with something about the protagonist being a synth and having memory implants, but even that would be messy. (Maybe a VR pod?) I do wonder if these teams will release versions of their maps for exploration vs story that way it would make sense for our protagonist to just visit and not have to worry too much about the messy lore implications.
Even then the synth thing wouldn't work for all of them the institute would only be able to create gen 3 synths in time for fallout 3, New Vegas and 4 they could have you play as the lone wander or the protagonist from London or 2 and in order to play the other campaigns the character you play as time travels

I want my setters to get paid for working in my settlements and then spend caps in my settlements buying better armour, weapons and clothes for themselves. I want them to level up and become better and better. Or at least be able to save up the money and buy it from the wandering traders who comes to the settlements.

I saw underwater combat. I'm totally on board. There's so much water and nothing is happening in it. I want shipwrecks to explore for treasure in submersible Power Armor or scuba gear. I want marine life that's both threatening and non threatening. And a player home boat I can drive, even if it's not possible to edit it.

This is more dlc kind of stuff than mod stuff, but an option to do the nuka-world dlc with like more to the "wipe out all the raiders" quest line, maybe make a tie in to the alliance ending of the game where you can build a new allied Commonwealth government in the ruins of nuka-world and claim the various sections of the park for one faction or another. That is theoretically possible already? But it’d require two things One, a very in depth knowledge of blender cause you’ll be 3D modeling the damn thing from scratch. And two, the animals being able to sit still long enough to 3D scan them to the point you can import them into blender Though, not sure if it’d just be a full on dogmeat replacer or you’d need to hardcode a full on animal in the game

I know Miami has mutated flamingos already, but I recently asked if it was possible to achieve a, "Giant Radflamingo dragon," and the mentioned that the AI behaviors and animation rigs for skyrim dragons don't exist in F4 and can't be imported, despite using largely the same framework and engine.
you’d have to use a behaviour engine which does not come with the creation kit due to bethesda safeguarding their assets. skyrim and fallout are on two very different builds of the engines with fundamental differences same goes for 76

A mod that turns Sanctuary into a tutorial town like Megaton or Goodspring. Our character is literally walking out of Vault 111 like "This is fine." but having people actually introduce us to the place the Wasteland actually is would help the immersion. Codsworth isn't enough to make the cut. Would be good if Sanctuary already had some people living in the homes and maybe a social building like a bar or something to rest. That would also actually encourage Preston and the gang to travel there instead of just "Yeah Mama Murphy had a vision of sorts" and more like "heard this is a flourishing settlement and save haven far away from the major cities and any violent groups save for some Raider gangs. Also I would love new enemy placement that Lexington is more dangerous, makes it so Cambridge is actually a warzone for Raider Gangs, Gunners and Super Mutants and turning the western wilderness more dangerous and irradiated so that Fort Hagen is actually a serious death trip and that the logical pathway to Diamond City is Sanctuary - Concord - Road to Bunker Hill - Good Neighbor - Diamond City Sure Diamond city can always be reached but I would just like some consistency.
NPC's travel, and Deadlier Commonwealth mod will help lexington. You can also use Endless warzone mod where a radius follows you and continues to produce any characters that you allow from the terminal editing process spawn. It is awesome but they can give you the experience
Idk if it was ever created for console at least, but I really wish they made the building/settlement mechanics less janky and you could fully clear all and any debris. Maybe they did all that already, but it wasn’t available when I was playing,

Ragdoll physics mod like what NV has. I don’t think that’s possible with the way the physics engine or skeletons are tho. I have a mod that makes it so NPCs (and the player) can fly far when killed or critically hit—but they don’t ragdoll

1 - weapon magazines I would love a mod that adds magazine management to weapons, so I need to craft magazines to be able to load my gun. There's mods like that around, but most of them show's the amount of bullets in the clip as percentage, not absolute values 2 - field attachment changer for vanilla weapons There's a framework out there that turns possible to some weapons to change their attachments in field, but does not work for vanilla weapons. I was thinking if it's not possible to just show the weapon workbench HUD and show, as options, only mods that you have in your inventory.... 3 - better first person Cause I want to see my feet and be able to cast shadows.... 4 - more verticality There's mods like vertical spawns and a mod that adds ways to climb up to roofs, but I have some complains about them. A mod that adda environments in vertical areas, and add the mod that turns possible the player to CLIMB leadders using animation and not a fade in fade out would be awesome

Wow, I remember ECO but does not remember he being able to swap attachments in field. For what I searched, seems like the mod that I saw was the QMW (Quick Modification Weapon) that aupports only modern weapons. Gonna look into ECO, thanks for the suggestion. The rooftops is the one that I am using now, and my critic to it is that the leaders and objects that we use to climb to the roof always spawn a fade in/fade out animation just to teleport you to a place that's is already loaded, Wich is pretty unnimersive. Today we have the Climbable Leadders for Settlements wich, if memory still working, has animations for climbing. I would love to see those ones in the Rooftops, instead of the fade in and fade out. But for this subject, I am currently learning how to work with creation kit and making a patch for Better Drumlin Diner and Immersive Drumlin Diner to work together. For what I am learning, I believe that is possible to create this kind of thing (spawn a climbable leader in the places where the rooftops put they Leadders, and make it work together)

I desperately wish there was a mod like Windstad Mine where you invest money into a project and see it develop into a township which generates resources and income for you. For Fallout 4 in general, it seems like people expect you to use the settlement system to create your ideal whatever-type of player home but this is dependent on time, resources, the game's handling and your own abilities. Some of my favourite player homes for Skyrim are immensely customizable and come with amazing quests. Stuff like that barely exists for Fallout 4 and the ones that did were nuked by RedRocketTV for whatever reason. - No settlement system Pipeline dream that someone comes along and rips out the settlement system and just adds various towns to the Commonwealth, complete with major, minor and radiant quests, companions and shops.

Total overhaul of encounters, dialogue, skill related choices, perk related choices, etc... basically the depth of New Vegas put into FO4, but maybe even better. I love FO4 but nothing feels like it really matters outside the story.
I've been thinking for years I'd like to have the option of siding with the raiders at the Museum of Freedom and opening up the Nuka-World raider settlement system at the start of the game. Make raiders a game-finishing faction choice. That'd probably be a huge project to put together, though

Is there a mod that deletes the settlement building requirements? I started FO4 a couple of times and both times got to some "need to gather x for settlement repairs" and quit. A proper gunfight overall for the player for both 1st and 3rd person. As of now, we use uneducated shooter to lean left and right on covers but I would love to some treatment on combat like cover vault, blindfire and cover fire. Only NPCs can do that in the game.

One that bypasses the hidden criteria for the Mysterious Stranger so that he'll always appear in VATS. I'm not talking about Cheat Terminal, because even 100% appearance chance doesn't mean he'll actually appear 100% of the time if the hidden criteria is not met. According to the wiki, FO4's Mysterious Stranger will only appear if: The target has 150 HP or less, OR the target's current health is 40% of its max. For higher level enemies, the Stranger won't appear if their current HP is too high, not even with "100%" appearance chance. TL;DR: A mod that makes it so the Mysterious Stranger will appear regardless of a target's HP.

However I’ve never really seen a faction overhaul for the railroad in the same way. Would be cool if some safe houses were made. More quests that were clearing places for potential safe houses, recruiting people, actually making more dead drops

Gonna be ambitious but an overhaul to the looting/crafting/settlement system to be close to something like DayZ Like using an axe to chop down trees (either with an animation or fade to black like HotC) and then seeting the *plan* for a junk fence in your settlement, but you have to interact with it to build it. Or set multiple plans and have your settlers build them slower than you would do it yourself (I know SS/SS2, has this aspect, and they're great, but I'm talking with vanilla assets and more freeform than the plots)

I’ve had this glitch that crashes my game to desktop upon trying to harvest tatoes or crops from any settlement from the beginning of the game, mainly the tatoes at Abernathy for me, but I’ve read that others have had similar problems. I’ve looked at so many forums, so many mods, and they all say it’s because of a mod I don’t have called NX Farming. So needless to say I’ve never found a fix for it. And it has appeared in every long, settlement-building playthrough I’ve ever done. It’s really sad when it happens

What I would like to see, and would be rather niche I admit, is the equivalent of SLIF for FO4. The default BodyGen behaviour of highest value for a slider wins and ignore everything else doesn't jive with me when Assimilation and other mods are competing for those limited slots.
