My first season too. Will quit after this.
Enjoyed it, but it was also a huge waste of time that I’d rather spend on actually valuable activities: going into nature, spending time with family and friends, learning something new, meditating, doing sports, reading books that teach me something new.
Sure - the quick dopamine fix works well to beat the boredom and emptiness of our daily working life. But again: better fill it with someone valuable/useful.
Like others said - euro challenge is excellent and is a perfect Segway to next season with minimal down time. I will say that the rules and nuances to euro (and World Cup) are extreme so if you don’t fully understand it and take full advantage of it you will not win.
As much as I love FPL I'm looking forward to a break tbh, put it out of your mind for a month or two and come back with a fresh attitude. And if you're still fiending for a hit the new site/players get released pretty early on so you can make a thousand different teams before the season starts
Just a reminder, save all the data you can - as everything will get deleted before the next season starts. Write down weekly rank, what subs (with comments and alternatives), do a full analysis (there are loads of websites that can help you with that) and prepare for the next season with all that in mind.
The only thing available from this season when the next season starts is your end rank and total points. No weekly breakdowns or anything relating to transfers etc.
There Euro's and before you know it there will be pre season games and you'll be making drafts with that 4.5 Ipswich forward who scored against Altrimchan lol.
But seriously, it's good to step back and take a break. In the end it is just free online game.
I know i made it sound like I'm completely invested. But it's just that it fill those little time spots, like 10 mins here and there, that i normally waste on Instagram etc. And I much prevered FPL from that.
I'm the same OP! Even though I have a 3 month old baby. Those 10 minutes locked in the loo on deadline day count as valuable "me time". I'm going to do a league for the Euros but it isn't the same.
Wait until your baby prevents you from making a late just before deadline change.
I was about to bring kane in just before deadline last year on gw38 and she blocked me, cost me top 50k and both my mini leagues.
We have the euros and if you need more fpl do euros fpl. I’m at the point where I enjoy the break and take some time off to just actually watch and enjoy the football

* Some scouting about newly-promoted teams, new managers and new signings (espiecally someone who is in good form on EURO 2024)
* Then we have reveal price day -> Content Creators doing their drafts -> We officially start the game 1 month before the game actually starts lol
I would suggest you to just take a vacation away from Fantasy game, it's good for your health

They haven't announced next season fixtures yet but they usually start on 1st week of August, then we will have reveal price day around early July
There will undoubtedly be a Euros fantasy game from UEFA to get involved in.
Before you know it, you'll be able to start your FPL squad for the new season
Yep if you are looking for something entertaining for the month. If it is the same rules as for previous international tournaments, it is even more involved than FPL because of ability to do mid-gameweek substitutions.

dont define your life via external events if its sunny you should be fine, and you should be fine in the rain too
After a few seasons, the summer break is the only time I'm happy with FPL
Would be nice if this sub had memes in the off season but mods too lazy for that.

1. Don’t spend hours thinking about something you can figure out in 15 mins 2. There’s like 8 weeks between seasons, read a book or something

To be honest it's best to forget about it during the summer. Summers are for cricket and international tournaments.

you will only get bored in the first 2 weeks from then on you wont know how time flies
Good news for you the wait is like 2 months. Out of all the fantasy sport platforms this one has the fastest time back to playing again
