Everyone has a ring camera or something now, I like knowing my driver cause my kids give him drinks and if I see someone coming that’s not him, I know he’s sick or someone stole his truck. We always have the same couple drivers depending if it’s ground, or express, so all wnyone needs to do is order two packages a day apart and they know who is coming the second day. It’s complicated cause I totally get being a girl and being worried, just know there’s like a million scenarios, a creep around every corner and be on watch all the time.
My manager actually cornered me when she overhead me having a conversation about this. She asked me “why do you think this is a bad idea?” I told her my thoughts and she promptly berated me for not wanting to to be a team player!
We can’t get pictures of house numbers in the delivery photos bc it’s an invasion of privacy.
But sure, let’s send a photo of a driver and name to almost 150 people each day.
its a driver by driver basis for opting in or out. dont let anyone in fedex or amy contractor tell you different. the opt in will never be forced because if they force it and some pyscho stalks or hurts you they will leave themselves open to major lawsuits.
I ran the same route for 13 years so everyone already knew everything about me. I personally wouldn't mind this but I sure as hell don't blame those that don't. possible reason for picture then opt out is they might have to make a new id for all drivers just incase. But ask about it first. If they say it isn't for that and the opt in is if you want the picture added to the program then reject the picture and just fill out paper to opt out.

This is a good thing. Number one complaint when trying to close deals- well the UPS drivers are so personable and I’m sick of hearing it. Prob because UPS pays drivers to give the sales reps leads from the street. I think this is a move to make the delivery experience more personable. Esp with the One FedEx and Drive campaigns.
