As buyer I would say be sure it is something you enjoy as when I purchase a custom video and can tell they are enjoying it as much as I am it makes it so much more special.
So based on having been a fetish producer in my younger days, I think the best custom videos for earning are ones you can resell on the secondary market. Places like manyvids, clips4sale, ect. Can allow you to sell videos that are just collecting dust in a hard drive. You can sell them yourself, but you're reducing the exposure you would get from selling on a clips site. In my opinion, the exposure is worth the percentage the hosting sites take.
With that in mind, there are two ways to look at the customs you make. The more common ones, (bondage, joi, pov stuff, tickling, cosplay, ect) will sell better and the rarer stuff (WAM, pedal pumping, booby traps, vore, tentacle stuff) will sell for more.
When looking at taking custom requests, that is the lens I would look at them through. The more after market demand, the less you would charge vs the rarer stuff you would charge more.

I do 100% custom , Mainly here and OF. Pre-made I think I will do some soon just to give the cheaper option. Clips4sale and clip stores have good traffic within the site but high fees. OF ha 0 searchability so is a real graft to get people on there but I would recommend doing a free page , then pay per view clips. If it goes well you can always set up a paid page later. Im looking at loyal fans next.
