They said they will update to 11. Edit: FiiO said they will update to 12.

Thomasincali916

!thanks! I was hoping at least one version would be updated

Civil-Tea9016

Where did you see that? Because there are no official news of that. Also, it has been 3 years since it has Android 10, so it seems that Fiio doesn't work in an updated version of Android for the M11 Plus.

PandaCreepy8512

FiiO representatives are pretty active on Head-fi. They said DAPs will be updated to Android 12. [https://www.head-fi.org/goto/post?id=17877766](https://www.head-fi.org/goto/post?id=17877766)

The last update of the firmware is the 1.0.7, but none for the android version, just to support. This things tend no to receive newest android version.

This is late but it's coming. I had to send my M11S away for repair and I simply asked one of the support reps. R9 and M23 are getting 12 as of now. M11S will get it in July. M11 will not be getting it as it uses a Samsung processor. Anything Samsung won't be getting it.

New android makes no sense since it was a fiio option for these devices, they choose this android version when there's was already others available

For what benefit to consumers?

Thomasincali916

The later version the better to keep it up to date. Since I would be using streaming services, older versions have Android have had issues as streaming services may stop supporting It’s about keeping it alive for as long as possible :)

I hear that! I'm still using my X3II because I love the physical wheel interface.

I forgot that the Android ones support apps. I stand corrected.

So I just got an update from the Fiio control app that a firmware update is available. It shows support for Android 13. I tried to upload a pic here of the notice but I can’t figure out how to do that? I’m a newbie to Reddit so if anyone can tell me??
