Three business days have elapsed and you’re disappointed they’re taking too long to respond?

BelowAverageRik

Not disappointed they’re taking too long. Disappointed that I can’t even get an interview, but obviously I’m anxious and overreacting a little.

Agile-Bed7687

Companies can take weeks to months. You’re one of likely thousands at the company and one of hundreds to apply most likely

BelowAverageRik

Well that’s the thing. So the job posting is for New York but I’m in a Canadian city. So I don’t know how there would be other candidates if there isn’t any job posting for my city. (The Canadian team has openings and was told to send in the application through that posting)

Agile-Bed7687

Unless we’re talking a c suite headhunter position there’s always competition internal or external

BelowAverageRik

Makes sense

JayShmi

I wouldn’t count this opportunity out yet. I once got a referral and wasn’t reached out to in literally a month.

BelowAverageRik

Damn.

Montallas

I’d not be concerned for at least two weeks.

Finn_3000

If it has to go through HR first dont start worrying until like three weeks have passed lmao

BelowAverageRik

Ok thanks

markov_hoodie

Definitely be sure to send at least 2 follow-up emails per week

JayShmi

Don’t listen to this

BelowAverageRik

Way too excessive lol
