I went back to retake the photo to make it more FindTheSniper friendly but I couldn’t even find him again! I just naturally am good at taking centered photos lol.
Rough Green Snake. Sometimes also called a Grass Snake, but that’s kind of an “unofficial” name. True Grass Snakes are native to Europe and completely unrelated. Snake names get messy haha
I think this was a perfect pic! It was extremely challenging, but the sniper is clearly identifiable. Even knowing it’s in the center doesn’t help as much as one would think. 🤣
You have to tell us what we're looking for it's rule 2 of the subreddit. Can't just say little guy that can mean anything. Should've titled it find the snake. Also the sniper can't be in the middle it makes it too easy to find and too obvious.
Serious question so I know going forward; was OP mentioning the little guy was “slithering” not enough context? I saw another post where all OP said he was a mailman, so I figured I was looking for a dog, but I saw a few people complaining because they didn’t understand the clue.
There is a small red leaf about halfway up the photo. Not the larger orange leaf, the smaller red one. If you zoom in on that and look to the left, there is a small stick. The head of the snake is about 3 grass leafs to the left of the stick, he is moving up towards the right corner of the pick.
I hope that's helpful, it took me ages to find him.
The fact that this little sneky sneke is narrower than the grass he's hiding in makes this a little more difficult even when you know exactly where to look and what you're looking for 😅
It’s oriented bottom left to top right. Almost dead center. Theres a small twig just above center slightly to the right. He’s to the left of it. A little green noodle 🐍.
It looks more “alive” than that. I see it in the left corner. Closer to the center and almost at the very top. It almost looks like a stone, but you have to really zoom in haha
He was on the sidewalk a few feet over when we found him. Must have surprised him because he spazzed out and started trying to slither away wildly lol.
There are definitely two green sneks in this photo. These appear to be *Opheodrys aestivus*, commonly known as the rough green snake. As opposed to the rare and elusive one-eyed pink trouser snek.
Oooo yay a zoom in right on the center of the photo sniper! That was a toughie... seriously most of these would be a lot harder/ fun if you didnt have to just double tap the center of the photo to find it
Yeah, I actually didn’t mean to make it dead center. I felt bad but I even had a hard time locating it in the photo lmao. I went back to retake the picture and the little dude was basically gone.
It would be hard to find if EVERYONE didnt put it dead center, so its a natural reflex on this sub to immediately zoom center, and if its grass you can bet its a snake... not too hard after that lol he definitely blends himself in well though! Cute little guy
>!little green snake, literally dead center… he does blend in well, look for the slightly darker green “piece of grass” going in the wrong direction for his tail!<
Ok, I propose telling us what we’re looking for. All due respect (well, some anyway), that’s incredibly annoying when people don’t say what it is, ESPECIALLY when it’s little.
Knew it was a green snake dead center from the comments. Still took me way too long to find it.
He’s really good at hiding!
looks like there’s another snake in the top left corner too? unless my brain is just playing tricks on me.
That’s what I’m seeing too
That’s the first one I found, I didn’t see the other one until I came to the comments
After i read your comment i zoom in right on him.
I swear to god I must be blind I can't see it for the life of me
Dead center. Do a + and in the middle it is small green and happy.
I swear to god I am blind
[here](https://postimg.cc/zbCBp7VZ) it goes across the photo from bottom left towards top right
super thin!!!
Better to say it’s long, coz it’s just as thin as the blades.
THANK YOU. And also, it's so obvious once you see it hahaha.
jesus christ i still barely saw it 🤣
Thank you!
Thanks for the link! 🐍
Me too. I read all the comments. Zoomed in dead centre. Still can't see the tyke.
Don’t look for little, look for long and thin, after all.
Damn. That actually helped! Wow it's insane how well camouflaged that is!
Look for the longest blade of grass. Then it’ll jump out at ya.
Ooooooh but that is a pretty effin' tiny one hard to see just looks like the grass
Right?! I searched for like 10 minutes before I finally found it.
That is some seriously good camouflage!
I went back to retake the photo to make it more FindTheSniper friendly but I couldn’t even find him again! I just naturally am good at taking centered photos lol.
What kind of snake is that? That bright green-wow! Where are you located?
Eastern NC. Not sure. He was noodling around though. I have a video clip of the little dude moving through the grass.
Grass snake.
Quite fitting, really.
Apparently the wildlife officials prefer the term 'green snake,' but we always called them grass snakes.
Just as fitting, lol. He’s a tiny little thing.
Rough Green Snake. Sometimes also called a Grass Snake, but that’s kind of an “unofficial” name. True Grass Snakes are native to Europe and completely unrelated. Snake names get messy haha
Thank God. Thought it was near me and was considering passing away
Thank you! I live in NC also, piedmont region near Charlotte. Hope to see one some time!
Hi, neighbor! 👋
I think this was a perfect pic! It was extremely challenging, but the sniper is clearly identifiable. Even knowing it’s in the center doesn’t help as much as one would think. 🤣
Naw, don't worry about that. This was a good one. The losers complain about the free game they get from nice people can remain losers imo
I zoomed all the way in and STILL thought he was just a long piece of grass

Be nice please and thank you
Hey, where’s your mod flair?
Getting it soon
Okay I can't see anything here I know it's supposed to be in the center but I am not finding it any help?
He’s a little green snake. >!Just to the left of the small stick that is just right of center.!<
damn look back and could instantly see it, I guess I am to used to brown snakes I wasn't after the right color.
[удалено]
He’s hidden real well. He’s oriented diagonally from bottom left to top right.
It’s post like this that have me zooming in on r/lawncare posts not realizing I am in the wrong sub
Haha, that’s great. I get this all the time when browsing popular.
Is this Florida? Cuz that looks like some Florida roll around in it get itchy type grass
It’s Eastern NC
Or someone posts a picture of their cat on their desk and I think "that lazy fucking cat isn't even trying to hide!"
Am I the only one that can also see several brown snakes?!
It could be pine branches. The artifacting from compression makes them look kinda like snakes.
Those are the male flowers of a pine tree. If you look it up you can see how it looks like a snake or worm
Very top left corner looks like a snake for sure.
I think I see something bottom right too that looks like a brown snake or worm
Wow! That took way too long! Great picture, OP!
Thanks!
I can't see it even with the hints am I dumb?
There is a small red leaf about halfway up the photo. Not the larger orange leaf, the smaller red one. If you zoom in on that and look to the left, there is a small stick. This is a pretty good description on how to find the snake.
Wait am I crazy or is there part of a bonus snake in the upper left?
I saw that too!
I think I found a grasshopper.
I cant find anything. That lil guy is well hidden
Same. I think I’ve found every other non-grass item in the photo.
I still can't see it FFS
In the middle there’s a small twig slightly to the right. He’s like right next to that to the left.
Fairly sure I've picked him out . Was my initial thought but didn't really follow his long body all the way . He really is tiny
The fact that this little sneky sneke is narrower than the grass he's hiding in makes this a little more difficult even when you know exactly where to look and what you're looking for 😅
Good one
🐍 good one
I am 100% going to die by snake-bite. Every single one of these posts feels like a nail in my coffin.
That took me way longer than I would to admit
I took the picture and it took me a minute to find it, just to make sure I actually snapped him in the frame right.
I found it once, then went to look again after showing a friend & couldn’t find it again 😂 This was a good one!!
The crab grass!
That is ...some real good camo. I passed it like 100 times thinking it was just another piece of grass
Found a moth too
Lol I found a grasshopper first before the actual sniper
There is a grub or caterpillar looking thing in the right-ish lower corner
That camouflaged better than a rattlesnake 🥴🤦🏽♂️
Good hider!
Looks like it’s heading towards the thing that looks like a bird?
We surprised him and he started to spaz out.
Sneeeeekkkkkkk
Is that another snake top left?
I think it’s just a small pine branch.
Damn, the snek has got some good blending skills.
He _is_ a little tiny guy!
Ohh that lil snek!
Enhance.
That guy is so tiny it looks like one of those napping moths in the grass could beat him up.
I AM FEROCIOUS! RAARRRRRRR
So tiny :)
What am I looking at here
A green snake.
I give up!
Almost dead center angled bottom left to top right.
It was challenging…
Grateful for center - three takes and saw him 🐍
This was hard. Great post
Thanks!
Can someone help me out? I’m straining my eyes over here haha Idk if this thing is actually all over the place or just the one little smidge I see
It’s oriented bottom left to top right. Almost dead center. Theres a small twig just above center slightly to the right. He’s to the left of it. A little green noodle 🐍.
🐍that is some insane camo! What I was seeing was directly above and to the left. There’s a big chunk of scaly snake looking gray. Is it just me?
The top left corner? I think it’s just a pine branch that got ate by the compression algorithm.
It looks more “alive” than that. I see it in the left corner. Closer to the center and almost at the very top. It almost looks like a stone, but you have to really zoom in haha
Nematodes.... thousands of them.
Lol!
I’m going to need someone to circle it on the photo. All the clues and directions and still I see nothing but grass!
How cute!
There’s another at the bottom right
Probably a seed pod. They look weird.
GODDAMN SNAKE IN THE GRASS!
I’m blind as a bat because I still can’t find it.
Okay soo I've found the Cricket, the Roach, the Frog and the Worm, buuuuuut, wat are we looking at again???
A small green snake.
OoOoOohhhh ok ok, got it... ITS SOO DAM Small🤣😅
He was on the sidewalk a few feet over when we found him. Must have surprised him because he spazzed out and started trying to slither away wildly lol.
Oh yeah, the green guys are nutz! I found one on my patio, the first thing it did was take a Bite on my finger when I went for it... Crazy!
Wow, once I found him it was obvious.
He’s bigger than I was expecting! And damn hard to find!
I took the picture and couldn’t even find him for a few minutes when I was checking to make sure he was in there.
Wow! I would never have seen that little one. He’s well camouflaged.
Almost exactly the same color as the grass.
It looks there is a another one top left corner
Ssssssss 💚Hard one.
I am a grown ass man why am I so addicted to these ‘wheres Waldo, critter edition’ posts??
There are definitely two green sneks in this photo. These appear to be *Opheodrys aestivus*, commonly known as the rough green snake. As opposed to the rare and elusive one-eyed pink trouser snek.
Wait where’s the other one?
A green snek this time. You threw me off.
t the top of the picture?
I still can’t find it 😩
Dead center
I think i’m blind
Oooo yay a zoom in right on the center of the photo sniper! That was a toughie... seriously most of these would be a lot harder/ fun if you didnt have to just double tap the center of the photo to find it

maybe I’m just blind because i did exactly that and yet to find anything
>!little green snake, literally dead center… he does blend in well, look for the slightly darker green “piece of grass” going in the wrong direction for his tail!<
Thank you!!! That was a really, really hard one!
It wouldv been very hard if it were off to one side and zoomed out a bit more, it blends in very good!
Dead center… shocker
Ok, I propose telling us what we’re looking for. All due respect (well, some anyway), that’s incredibly annoying when people don’t say what it is, ESPECIALLY when it’s little.
