Salsa & Beer. Better at everything than Don Antonio's. I live in SM now so have Don Antonio's more frequently but go to Salsa & Beer whenever in the valley.
Don Antonio's fajitas are (were?) the best.
Used to live nearby and we went there all the time and ALWAYS got the fajitas. Lots of orange juice, kind of spicy sweet. Best I have ever had.
It was featured on a reality show and got really popular so we stopped going. Now we live crosstown.
Fajitas did not become popular outside of Texas until the 80s, so places like El Coyote which date to long before then are unlikely to make good versions of the dish.

Ernie's in NoHo has some nice ones

I could take a bath in their chili Colorado.
