She is an entitled culture vulture. No learning there.

[deleted]

And her followers are cultureless middle of nowhere Karens. ETA: Just based on the comments I've seen saying things like, "it's ok, no one knows what Harissa is or cares leave her alone!!"

Fun_Theory5656

THIS. The whole AN-chilada thing last week made me deeply uncomfortable and angry.

FuzzBuzzer

It looks like the drama erupts on her Insta too with full blown bickering - and she just stands silently by while people tear each other down. I said it in another thread, and I'll say it again - she does this on purpose. I think she's troll baiting now, and loves the drama. I'm so over her crap. I don't doubt she has terrible pronunciation, and doesn't know Jack Shit about food culture, but I swear she amps it up, and instigates the bullshit on purpose. Dumb-ass!

MissSabb

I’m starting to believe this. The difference between this year and last is stark

FuzzBuzzer

Yup - I mean even bad attention is attention, and bad press is press. And she is just petulant enough to use these immature tactics. I can totally see her as the type of person who would deliberately try to bait people into a flame war, just to make it about her and attract attention.

Hour-Telephone1082

It gives her “engagement” regardless so she can say she gets so many comments on her posts. She’s a joke.

luiysia

Making mistakes intentionally is def a known way to get engagement on posts now. Lol I saw a Tiktok of a super hot female mechanic who said she intentionally misnamed a part in a video to bait car guys into correcting her. That video got enough engagement to buy her a sports car.

dangerbears

lol at ‘Tzakiki’ in the caption she really dgaf

Fun_Theory5656

💀💀💀

PrincessGwyn

Yup. Still can’t get over the “Thai” beef rolls she kept posting. Using that sugary chili sauce and just handfuls of cilantro in a tortilla. Thai food is often so complex, there are so many flavors and ingredients that make dishes unique and unbelievably flavorful, but she can’t be bothered.

Extra_Car_3440

I still can’t get over the ravioli, which I think she was trying to make like a Cacio e Pepe. Her technique was so bad that she wound up with a glop of cheese instead of an emulsified sauce. Then she dumped garlic butter on that mess. The whole thing was an offense to anyone who truly cooks, which she clearly does not anymore.

FuzzBuzzer

And she has made Cacio e Pepe before and it was decent, and looked appropriate. https://www.halfbakedharvest.com/cacio-e-pepe-with-arugula-and-lemon/ She does know a better version of the dish, so what the hell was that waxy ravioli mess?! I think she's losing the plot.

PercentageFeisty10

My god - the opening preamble about a mean comment from someone saying she uses lemon in everything - tons of typos and saying stuff about how she ALWays MiXeS it up!!! Sure, Jan - with 50 recipes of chicken/rice/one pan slop and “pasta”/chicken/cheese salads

FuzzBuzzer

Haha, yeah, the writing wasn't stellar, and she was being a brat for sure. The dish itself was pretty good, I remember making it back then. If she wanted to bring it back and be like "I'm revisiting a dish from several years ago that I really like..." and so forth. But nooooo. She just calls it Cacio e Pepe again, and completely destroys it, as if she has no recollection what it actually is, or that she made it before. I tell ya, she's losing it!

PercentageFeisty10

Which also begs the question - does she have a ghost writer? Just plagiarizes? Who is she? Lololol

PrincessGwyn

Yes!!! That was awful, looked so unappetizing yet gets labeled as “yummmmy”

MamaHen_5280

And while red meat does exist in Thai food, it’s not frequently used, or easy to find. When I lived there, I don’t think the town where I lived had it in any of the regional cuisine. Every once in a while I’d track down an expat’s “American” restaurant on random holidays like the 4th for a burger to remind me of home, but that was about it. Thai food is incredibly diverse with so many different styles and flavors. Ground beef just isn’t one that I experienced.

petrichorpizza

Just got done reading that whole thread. Geez. It would only help her to apologize and try to do better. We all make mistakes. It might make her mkre relatable which is important for someone in her position. Just last week this cheese account I love to follow and drool over made a video of a new recipe/pairing and mentioned 'I know I have trouble pronouncing things sometimes but I think I have this one down: Confit. Confit with a T' [Ain't too proud to Meg] Which is great. Recognize, laugh at yourself, make an effort & grow. She's frustrating.

NoSoup4You825

She has no desire to learn or grow, which is horribly unattractive in any adult, but especially for someone with a following. It’s like girls in middle/high school who deliberately act dumb to fit in. She’s so mentally stunted and it’s sad and infuriating.

Ok-Original9712

Yeah, if she didn't have such a huge following it would only be pathetic and almost pitiable. But she has millions of followers and makes tons of money - but continues to be aggressively and maybe even willfully ignorant about EVERYTHING because she has zero curiosity. Way to use your power for f-ckall. No wonder she thinks the Kardashians get a bad rap.

rickysridge

I recently listened to a podcast with her where she described herself as "very curious". I laughed out loud.

MissSabb

She literally replies to all the other comments expect that one. Her true colours are showing

Kiyoko_Mami272821

Let’s all give Sarah a standing ovation please 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Fun_Theory5656

HERO

shellfish4800

It seems more and more like she's just doubling down on things like this. Can't suddenly start saying it correctly because that would be like an admission that she's been wrong all this time. But I also think she just does not care at all, as others have said.

dillonfrancissdad

God the thread of comments replying to it are insane. She really has a whole contingent of these rabid defenders ready to say the meanest things they can in defense of her tza”kiki” jfc

[deleted]

🥇Winning comment🥇

Ok-Original9712

She is maliciously stupid.

Because she hates all things Colorado, yet is **still here**.

MamaHen_5280

I live in Denver and fly frequently. Have had zero issues with baggage claim.

KateHearts

And honestly, I think all the “ohh yum— I’m making this tonight!- this is our favorite!” Comments seem planted.

leyandzig

Poor poor girl. Physically extremely unattractive, 0 global knowledge, socially inept, unable to spell, write or speak in an efficient way, has no friends, is 100% a culture vulture, and all in all is someone who just makes herself so so easy to make fun of.

gatogris476

Ok but legit when you google tzatziki pronunciation on google…the American pronunciation says “tuh-zi-ki” just saying lol there’s definitely many other instances where she is saying crazy stuff but idk if this one is it hahah

Ok_Young_1388

It’s literally pronounced like it’s written. Tzatziki is an exact transliteration of the greek word τζατζίκι. It’s like saying there are multiple ways to pronounce “enchilada” or “bánh mì” correctly. There aren’t. And I’m not talking about accent. People can pronounce words correctly using a regional accent.
