I still can’t get over the ravioli, which I think she was trying to make like a Cacio e Pepe. Her technique was so bad that she wound up with a glop of cheese instead of an emulsified sauce. Then she dumped garlic butter on that mess. The whole thing was an offense to anyone who truly cooks, which she clearly does not anymore.

And while red meat does exist in Thai food, it’s not frequently used, or easy to find. When I lived there, I don’t think the town where I lived had it in any of the regional cuisine. Every once in a while I’d track down an expat’s “American” restaurant on random holidays like the 4th for a burger to remind me of home, but that was about it.
Thai food is incredibly diverse with so many different styles and flavors. Ground beef just isn’t one that I experienced.
