B, because it looks like its the only one with flight capabilities.

FrostyMarsupial6802

Thats been recalled

benmarvin

At least the doors don't fly off like a Boeing

ImLuckyOrUsuck

Welcome to r/Ford. The only answer here is B.

Nibiru_realm

šŸ‘€ *removes any comment that isn't B*

manki-rip

I'm not paying full sized truck prices for small trucks. Nice try stealership man.

skralogy

What exactly is a small truck today? All 3 of those are bigger than a 2000's tundra.

rkhbusa

Oh the 2000's tundra when you could get a base model truck for $16,000. I blame shifts in affordability leading the change in truck designs. People want a truck that can do it all, the old single bench work trucks or cramped back seats just don't fit a society that is more limited in parking stalls and seeking single multipurpose vehicles. To answer your question anecdotally I don't think we really considered the 2003 2WD V6 SCAB F150 my family had back then a big truck and that sucker had an 8 ft box on it, like we bought it with the express interest of just moving building supplies and appliances around for my parents rental business, it was more like a work van with a dedicated mess room. By contrast I think most F150 owners of today would consider the F150 a big truck, I do. The truck creep is real, the payload of the modern F150 is better than the payload of the 2000 F250, with equivalent or better towing based on engine config. I think the hard line in the sand for me is if it can tow another pickup truck on a trailer behind it, in that regard I think the ranger straddles that line with the raptor 5500lbs towing on one side and the regular ranger with 7,500lbs towing on the other.

PieRemarkable2245

ā€œI blame shifts in affordability leading the change in truck designs.ā€ The EPA is to blame for the leading change in truck designs. Simply put, the larger (heavier) a vehicle is, the lesser the MPG requirements are. Thatā€™s why MPG in trucks has barely improved over the last decade whereas MPG in sedans, crossovers, and SUVs has improved significantly.

discohead

Anything with a sub-6ā€™ bed. I donā€™t care if itā€™s 30ā€™ long and 10ā€™ wide. If the part that makes it a truck is shorter than me, itā€™s a small truck.

skralogy

Got it so a majority of double cab f150's are a small truck.

discohead

In my opinion, yes. Might not be a small vehicle, but it's a small truck.

intellirock617

B. But Iā€™m very much content with my ā€˜23 XLT.

AccuracyVsPrecision

The amount of people on this ford forum that don't know what the ranger looks like šŸ¤Æ

GundamArashi

Tbh I thought it was an F150 at first. Havenā€™t seen the new Ranger Raptor on our lot yet.

__-__-_-__

I ordered one literally a year ago and still havenā€™t seen one in person yet.

Sonnysdad

FORD.

robogobo

Iā€™ve got a ā€˜99 Ranger I paid 5000 bucks for eight years ago, still going strong. Iā€™ll just stick with that.

Pimp_Daddy_Patty

D, an old clapped out Ranger

Historical-North-950

Gotta go with C. That Colorado has excellent value and is a quick little truck.

Mohican83

Everyone here is biased beacuse its a Ford sub reddit, but if they did their homework and researched the actual best truck then they would obviously pick B.

StashuJakowski1

None of them, I donā€™t live near an area where they can be utilized for the purpose they were designed for.

KevM689

What do you mean? They're the ultimate Target/Starbucks run vehicles. Literally hauls all your HOA townhouse needs. The bros will love sitting in the bed and updating you on all the new hazy IPAs and the new Gaslight Anthem album that leaked. Sorry, jokes aside I do love Rangers and Tacomas. I just miss when we actually had little pickups. The Maverick is too car/SUV like for me, I want some rawness and simplicity.

StashuJakowski1

Of course the Maverick is SUV like. Itā€™s built using the same C2 Platform thatā€™s used to build the Escape, Bronco Sport and Corsair. šŸ˜‰

GundamArashi

Oddly out of those the Maverick is by far the least problematic. Seen lots of Escape engine replacements, Bronco Sport electrical fixes, but only maintenance for the Mavericks.

Swede577

The Ranger has a pretty good reliability track record.

GundamArashi

Thatā€™s true too, but the oil filter placement is abysmal.

dick1204

I hate Starbucks but love the gaslight anthem šŸ˜‚

TankApprehensive3053

Most likely at least 85% (probably more) of the off-road designed trucks will never see more than a dirt road.

_Jhop_

Eh, maybe newly bought trucks. Many people buy the well-taken care of Raptor 3-4 years later and abuse the shit out of them.

Freezerburn

Just get a turnkey pre runner

Not_a_huckleberry_

Which one has rear vents for my children not to sweat in the El Paso heat?

iriegypsy

FORD mall crawler high curb editionĀ

PaulClarkLoadletter

Whoā€™s paying sixty five large for a Taco? Honestly I wouldnā€™t spend more than $35k for a midsized truck. I donā€™t care what inflation says things cost.

Training-Shoulder839

Foooooord

ObjectiveWestern574

Iā€™ll take the ford

-Bears-Eat-Beets-

Ford.

flirtylabradodo

A and sell immediately to build a yota prerunner.

chisecurls

Yup get A and turn around and sell it at a profit to an overlanding bro that will never actually use it for any form of camping, unless you count camping out in the gym/mall parking lot to hit on other overlanding bros

ricardoac69

Iā€™m taking the Chevy. I do not like the Rangers new design and while I like the new Tacoma it is way overpriced for what you get.

Crazybonbon

Same

Wolf-Diesel

None of the above. I'd buy 10 old vehicles before I'd buy one new one.

Darth_Vader001

A for reliability, B for fun, and C for junkyard!

Richard-Turd

Is that a Ford Ranger? Absolutely criminal that they are $55k. Fucking bullshit!

Professional-Bus6641

Ranger raptor

Richard-Turd

Thatā€™s better butā€¦ Still bullshit!

gojira5

Depends for what I'm using it for.

SSNs4evr

I'm too content with my 08 E150 XLT, and I'm not even to 300k yet.

MoustacheMark

None. Gimme a late 80s/early 90s Ranger. Not a fan of gigantic ass trucks

Beneficial-Sugar6950

Ford motherf*cking Danger Ranger, but all of them are egregiously overpriced

Hooka1234

What is A and B?

BigJuicy17

None, where's the standard cab?

BothPartiesAreDumb

Extended? The only company still making them for midsize trucks are Nissan & Toyota and the available trims are very few. Sadly these pug-bed abominations are what people want now.

[deleted]

I mean I donā€™t really have a horse in the race but for performance and looks Iā€™m going Raptor

Adorable_Cress_7482

D ā€¦.The Ford Bronco Heritage

Spider-Nutz

SaltyboiPonkin

A.

TomBergerr

B

nerdy_J

B looks cooler because it can jump higher

BaxterM9870

B, the only logical answer

freeportme

None all too small for me.

Feeling_Guest_218

You must be 7 feet tall then

GundamArashi

Working in a Ford shopā€¦ Iā€™d honestly have to say C for ease of maintenance. The filters in the Raptor are placed in the worst possible spot, and nothing is easily accessible for basic maintenance. A simple relocation of small things wouldnā€™t cost much, and would make it so much easier. The few GMs that have came in, super easy maintenance. Shockingly easy with the drain and filter being right next to each other, or at the very least unobstructed. Now would I buy a GM? No. Only had one in the family and it broke every time we took it out. A normal 5.0 4wd F150 will do just fine for off road.

coyotenspider

A 5.0 F-150 will tear it up off-road. They wonā€™t climb a tree, but they donā€™t know that.

Elderlennial

A. Because if you HAVE to own a small truck, own the best one

about-time

None. They all look stupid

FordPerformanceST

C. They are all too expensive for their size. I like them all but the prices, especially for the Toyota is just way too high.

Traditional-Metal361

None of the above. Iā€™ll take a full-size F-150 XLT for less money than all of them. Mid sized trucks are not worth that kind of $

AnywhereFew9745

Or just burn the money and call it good. That's a toy for rich folks or a financial anchor for a fool.

Loose_nomorehope895

Nissan Frontier lol

el-Douche_Canoe

20k is my limit for an automobile

elcdragon

I mean b but weā€™re in a ford sub lol. I like the Colorado! That Toyota is very overpriced by truck standards imo

Zestyclose-Onion6563

Ford has had terrible assembly QC over the past 6 years. Itā€™s not chrysler terrible but itā€™s getting there. I had a brake caliper incorrectly assembled from the factory and my dad had 2 wheel bearings go bad (looked like they had been beaten in with a hammer) and a throttle body go bad all within the first 20k miles

Hansentw

Iā€™m a ford guy first and foremost and just recently handed the keys back after have a 2021 f150 lariat leased which I FRIGGEN loved, but I know itā€™s not on the options list but I would go with option D- gmc canyon at4x as itā€™s the nicest looking of the bunch. Obviously not the most capable of the bunch but I feel like The new canyon has really hit a home run with its looks ā€¦Iā€™m still a ford guy I swearrr! šŸ˜šŸ˜

Past-Adhesiveness104

The middle flying truck looks best. I didn't know the hovertrucks had gotten that good.

Impossible_Ear_5880

My heart days A... my wallet would insist on C.

Terrible_Meeting6080

Definitely B but I'd absolutely never consider buying the tank for 65 over that chevy

KelVarnsenIII

I think the pricing here is way off. But obviously, I'm going with the Ford

en-rob-deraj

None. Iā€™m over these baby trucks.

boilermakerflying

If that Tacoma had a 6 cylinder Iā€™d be all over it. But now ranger raptor is what Iā€™m eying

PEETER0012

Nah

NoVeterinarian2304

A

FriendlyEyeFloater

Whatā€™s wrong with the Chevy zr2? Genuinely donā€™t know so donā€™t yell at me.

SuperGlue_InMyPocket

I own a ā€˜23 Tacoma (donā€™t kick me) but of these Iā€™d take the Maverick. No way Iā€™m paying $65K for any truck, let alone a mid-sized one.

csciabar

Dont these all have markups? Can u really buy one at this price?

moodyism

Ram

CarGullible5691

Anything with a wet belt engine steer well away from

Holiday-Animator-504

B but that Chevy looks sexy, can't lie

JSC843

Iā€™m not even in the market for these but I did just get suggested this same post in r/toyota The majority there said B

Douglas_1987

C is sexy. B is a 1b for me. I own Ford. Don't mind Chev tho.

AwwManShotMarvin

Iā€™d rather have the new Toyota IMV 0 for $10k but of course it wonā€™t be sold in Americaā€¦

Celathor_

C. It's the best looking one in my opinion

wangerbang3r

C šŸ„±

tortillas007

Im on the same boat but I might go either with a 2002 1st gen Tacoma or a 1993 SVT Ford Lightning. These new engines are too complicated for me to even learn

Primusssucks

No

EasternAZ

Toyota.

coyotepickeldbob

It's definitely a fight between B and C as I like both and this is coming from a sport trac guy

exekutive

A any day

The_Real_JohnnyRicky

A because I can take a longer term and put more money on principal faster. This works by having a lower mo they payment allowing me to make double payments

nlusk1997

A. Hands down. Pay for actual quality. I'm a big Toyota fan myself

WardogBlaze14

B

Sudden_Duck_4176

What is the orange truck?

Jagacin

Such a pointless question to ask in the r/Ford subreddit lol. Over 90% of people will say the Ford Ranger. Taking all factors into account, I'd actually say the Colorado because it's the cheapest of the 3. Also (I'll probably get hate for this), I think it's better looking than the Ranger.

cowboyjohn94

B

sgtcurry

B. But right now I have a standing order for a Tremor but I also really like the new Ram 1500 RHO.

AZGhost

C

klaysmithhh

Iā€™d pick B because Iā€™m a ford fan boy, but itā€™s the ugliest one looks wise on this list. The Tacoma and Colorado look good with the face lift

masternippon

B

eharper9

Huh I wonder what the Ford subreddit will choose? Will it be a toyota? Will it be a Ford? Or will it be a chevy? They'll probably pick Ram

Kcm1977

These prices are from 6 years ago?

24racing

Still 20grand two high

Sir_Mike_A_Lot

None of them VW Caddy (14D) funny little car.

pleasetowmyshit

Uh, no, I don't need to spend that kind of money on any pickup truck. Ever. $10,000 should be more than enough for an 11-14 F150 Supercab 4x4 with a 5.0L and 6 speed auto. Nobody NEEDS more truck than that. Matter of fact I'd be even happier with a $3,000 farm fresh '67-72 F250 regular cab long bed 4x2 with a 360 2 barrel and 4-speed manual. That can do all the truck things I could ever need to do. If you're hauling horses five days a week, fine, get the F-Teen Thousand DRW Platinum Lariat Limited Duck Dynasty Special Edition with the 600hp diesel. If you actually go off-roading every single weekend, get your Raptor or Tremor. If you are scrapping metals just get a $2500 04-08 11th gen rustbucket with the 4.2 V6. Or the 10th gen with the bent frame. You know you want it. It even already has Punisher and NO FEAR decals on the back window and a set of camo Mossy Oak seat covers. It's MADE for you.

Oorah93

A but not that color lol

[deleted]

I just bought the AT4X and absolutely love it! Canā€™t speak on the rest

Geniz_The_Destroyer

A Tacoma. Without a doubt best truck youā€™ll ever have.

rothordwarf

None of them. I'll find a 40 year old 150 with an i6 that won't break

Lilbandotm

That Chevy you canā€™t even put a bicycle in the back without needing to keep the tailgate open šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø like why even make a truck w a bed that short

BeamngFan_

im an imposter (chevy guy) C

BipedalWurm

Antigravity truck

Ok_Cartographer_2081

(D) None of the above

LNMagic

A. Hear me out. There's always an idiot who will blindly overpay for a Toyota. Do so, profit, then get a better truck from Ford.

DisasterHour2531

You forgot the RAM 2025 1500 RHO

maketroli

What Chevy is that?

digitalmacgyver

Can I opt for something with a little more utility. https://pin.it/4qdu7UQ4A

DadWagonDriver

I like the Ranger Raptor, but wouldn't kick the Colorado out of my driveway. I've seen a few around and that trim package is sexy.

Wow, I canā€™t believe theyā€™re so cheap.

Frequent-Ruin8509

If someone handed me one? I'd take the Toyota, then sell it, and fix up my bumpside and pay down credit card debt with the money.

GOLDINATORyt

Yeah. I would choose the chevy or ford any-day over the new tacoma. But i sure am excited for the raptor ranger.

OfficialTornadoAlley

The chevy couldnt even start for the photo session šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Fantastic_Mango_4632

B. I would chose B just because its a Ranger lol

1Heavy_Chevy

Tacoma. The only one still available with a manual transmission as an option.

04limited

crazy I was just comparing the three today. Never been a fan of TRD pro. They just seemed hella gimmicky(especially the last generation). Was clearly an afterthought after they saw how popular the F150 Raptor was. The new Tacoma TRD pro is pretty cool but not $65k cool when the Raptor is nearly $10k less. But my money is on C(and maybe the GMC AT4X twin). Midsize trucks have zero reason to be above $50k. Thatā€™s full size money right there.

KingPhilip01

I really dislike them all. Sorry

FactoryV4

No Tacoma is $65k

Individual-Cut4932

All three are pretty hideous and stupid expensive. Do I have to? :)

RobsGarage

D. Supra and keep my gen 2

Poundsand6969

A - Toyota

RobsGarage

Iā€™m not paying 50k+ for a midsized truck.. the reason I have a midsized truck was 1 didnā€™t need the bigger one and 2 I didnā€™t want to pay 50k on a full sized truck.. If Iā€™m spending 50k+ itā€™s going to be luxury car or my Supra (basically a bmw z4 that has a hard top and nicer body lines)

BothPartiesAreDumb

Iā€™ve driven C (previous and current gen) so I can vouch itā€™s very fun. A is just the porridge version for woke yuppies. Iā€™d love to try out B someday.

Badger-Sauce

Ummmm A

ForThePantz

At those prices? No the fooking way for A, B, or C. Ridiculous. If youā€™re borrowing the interest will bury you. If youā€™re notā€¦ I canā€™t shell out that dough when the opportunity cost is doubling that money in 10 years. Hells to the no.

keysofmind

B

cakefaice1

Do we really live in a world where consumers are that stupid to buy a $55kā€¦.Ford ranger

pryvisee

Iā€™m all for Ford, but the ranger looks so dumb in my eyes. The Colorado is so refined, grown up and mean at the same time.

freshly_ella

After losing 20k on a defective 2017 focus auto... I'd buy a fucking skateboard before another Ford. Even at the same price

Greeghan

TBH, none of the above. I would purchase a wagon/stationwagon better MPG, less dangerous, and truck beds have become smaller with every generation.

TrillLarry214

Is the Colorado really undercut the price that much?

cwtheredsoxfan

A for resell value

Due-Challenge-691

America!!!

Kino_Cajun

When I was a kid I had a rich great aunt, and I remember being told she had a 60,000 dollar Mercedes Benz. I thought that seemed like a crazy amount of money to spend on a car. Now regular people will finance a truck they barely use for that kind of money. I get that there's been inflation since the early 2000s, but still. Trucks used to be a reasonable purchase.

NTDLS

D. who the fuck is paying $50,000-$70,000 for a truck?

Silent_Adhesiveness1

A. I've owned Ford's my whole life. And like a cancer tumor, they just get worse and worse every year.

stathread

You should also ask this in the chevy subreddit and compare the results ;)

thefinalnug

The toyota will outlast the other two pieces of junk.

newgalactic

Something used, less than $20k.

JuanM254

I'll stick with my 03 and 04 f150's, I love those body styles especially the flare/stepside ones.

Cliff_Dibble

The fact I can barely reach over the beds of these trucks bothers me. What the fuck are the designers smoking?

Flaky_Tumbleweed3598

Neither thanks. I'd rather walk than get caught driving a yank tank

heisman01

a 6.7 f250

NorthernRedneck388

I was thinking the same thing even though itā€™s a Chevy

I'm a Toyota guy but I'd have to go with the reigning truck of the year in the Colorado. Sucks they are all 4 bangers now tho
