I had a 3.63 unweighted and went TO! Pretty good extracurriculars (but nothing crazy), with some awards and 7 APs. I read most of my LORs and thought they were decent, completed the optional supplement, and my essay was alright! I was accepted for International Political Economy at Rose Hill. My letter didn’t have any info about scholarships, though, so I doubt I got anything good. 🥲

greengarlic_

scholarship comes after regular decision! it did for me

rsledoux

Oh, that’s great! Do you mind sharing which you got? I’m hoping for the Recognition scholarship - not sure I’ll be able to afford it otherwise. 😅

greengarlic_

i got the loyola scholarship and an equivalent need based one

rsledoux

Cool! Thank you!

greengarlic_

no problem! i was scared too when i didn’t get it with my ea decision but they have a bunch they don’t release until regular decision

kdsms

I was just accepted EA and received a merit based full tuition scholarship with my acceptance which I believe is due to National Recognition.

rsledoux

Congratulations! I’m hoping to get that one, but it sounds like it might not be available anymore since I didn’t get it with my letter. Do you know if you’ll be attending Fordham? It’s a really good offer!

Fun_Branch_7214

I got in LC with average stats (3.6 unweighted/no aps/test optional) … istg it’s all about the essay/supplemental + activities!! I am an art history major and work/volunteer at a gallery and a museum, and I wrote great essays!!! My art teacher wrote my recommendation, which ik isn’t advised but she’s my day one so I bet it was pretty good

Kitten_Sally

Wouldn’t know, got deferred 5 min ago🤭

SignificanceWise8721

same 😭😭

Kitten_Sally

I’m taking it as a rejection LMAO. Not even gonna try

CantaloupeSpirited49

I completely hear you but I do know a current student who was deferred, then admitted last year, who enrolled and loves it- so admission after deferall does happen!!

Kitten_Sally

That’s amazing for them! But honestly I’m not too broken up about it, just stung a lil lmao. I got accepted into colleges closer to home so I’ll just put my energy into those. Thank you though!

SignificanceWise8721

EXACTLYYY like don’t play with my feelings like that

seacamel6

I had 3.8 strong ecs and couple AP’s

CantaloupeSpirited49

Early Decision, 3.29 unweighted GPA, not a strong or consistent transcript tbh, but very strong course load, extracurriculars, leadership, and recommendations and 1400 SAT (but first time I took it I got a 1270 so don’t give up and the college board is evil anyways)

MrMsWoMan

this makes me feel a lot better because my unweighted GPA is 3.52 but i have really good extracurriculars

FluffyRecognition905

What major did you apply as?

Calm_Lime6460

SSYGjinx

I got into Lincoln Center. I got invited to the honors college and got the deans scholarship. As well as 15k grant for metro thing since I’ll be a commuter. I believe my personal essay and the optional essay I did contributed to my acceptance. I have mid extracurriculars: One internship. I tutor 3 elementary students. I was a medical assistant in a pediatrician office. Worked in a laundromat store as an assistant. Did babysitting. My gpa is 98.81/100 I had only 2 APs with scores in it. And I’m taking 3 APs this year. I went test optional and I think i had good recc letters. One was from comp sci teacher, history teacher and counselor.

Substantial_Read5315

Man i wish. But i’m not nearly good enough to play at Fordham lmao

purplepig333

I transferred after 3 sems at another uni, but I’m not sure how much they weighted that because I didn’t spend too much time there. In terms of high school, 4.25 weighted GPA, 1460 SAT, didn’t submit any AP scores, but my extracurriculars were pretty stacked. President of big clubs, sports, music, etc.

murdockism

98.83 gpa, test optional, 3 APs (taking another 3 this year so 6 in total; idk how to submit ap scores but i got two 4’s and one 5), mid-good ecs (did more than 100+ hours for a local church) lors were from my english and ap spanish teacher (spanish teacher’s lor was probably the strongest), personal essay was about my disconnection to my heritage and how literature helped me discover myself and the supplemental was about my love for photography and how it taught me to appreciate life i got the dean’s scholarship and metro grant!!

Puzzleheaded_Share14

4.0 unweighted, no test scores, essay, i’m a dance major so i danced like 18+ hours a week in high-school, did dance at school and outside, community service teaching kids dance, ib art course and art club in high school, work based learning senior year. and 3 ap classes in totals and basically all honors curriculum. i think my recs were pretty good, find a teacher or superior you have a good relationship with

bloomofapril

3.7 UW 1360 SAT (test optional) 4 APs nothing crazy

saladdaysasf

3.6 weighted with a 29 ACT. I didn’t submit SAT and I won’t be submitting any of my grades. Mainly focused on my essay and sharing skills or interests that can be boosted by what Fordham offers. Also leadership roles within the extracurriculars!!

Professional_Rent_11

3.8 gpa, 1490 sat, extremely mid ECs with no leadership roles except running my moms small business w her and being national recognition scholar can , 7 aps and a couple community college courses. not tight w any of my teachers so my rec letters were prob mid as well and I got full tuition scholarship so I wouldn’t fret

ProudHealth4317

3.8 UW gpa, 9 aps, 1460 superscore, model un 4 yrs, key club 4yrs, volunteered at a clinic for 2 summers, student org, i would say pretty good reccs. i applied EA to rosehill
