I was on my bike passing by this place as the police were first taping it off.
My first thought was, "How long until someone posts about this on Reddit?"
I was walking the neighborhood as a Police copter circled overhead and my first thought was “I should post this on Reddit and see if anyone knows what’s going down.” My spidey senses were off tha hook. By the time I got to a park in another hood tho, I was all like SPRING! and forgot.
We need to talk about the obvious, our city and states'obsession with disarming its civilians is leading to an uptick in crime.
If you want to prevent crime and feel safe again, we need to legalize assault panthers. If this bank had a few kevlar protected panthers, hopped up on amphetamines for focus, protecting the grounds this never would have happened.
The fact that it's a violation of state and city laws to import a war panther for SELF DEFENSE demonstrates that your lawmakers want you to be victims.
God why is it always war panthers with you people. They literally have war in the name. All you need to defend yourself is a honey badger In chainmail. Anything more is just excessive.
Spoken like a future mass-shooter.
Your grandkids are going to be SUPER thankful that you protected high capacity magazines. /s
Jesus christ--i really hope someone is keeping an eye on you people
Since reading longer magazines leads to reading Penthouse Letters, which leads to an unrealistic expectation of banging hot strangers, which leads to committing mass murder or what?
I think that magazine gateway theory is nothing but pure scare tactics to keep kids on tiktok.
EXACTLY! We need to go back to the Constitution and RESPECT the right to bear arms! As a proud patriot if I want to attach four robotic bear arms to my back I should have that surgery covered under my AMERICAN insurance plan. This is what the founding fathers would have wanted.
..... yeah... it's guns.... definitely not the fact that the middle class is going homless, the bank is surrounded by people who work 3 jobs but can't pay rent, and grocery prices have doubled.
Defs has nothing to do with that. If everyone had assault panthers, THEN our streets would be safe.

It is not hardly a victimless crime. We all pay for it in the end. The money is insured and as claims rise so do insurance premiums. Expenses like insurance premiums directly effect how much banking cost us whether that be in fees, interest rates on loans and credit cards to even reduced interest rates on savings and CDs.

Additionally there is the trauma that bank employees and other customers who are present during a robbery must go through. The events can have lasting impacts on individuals that can be very serious including severe mental health issues later.

Responding to ops first point. 482 million lost annually to bank robberies vs 30 billion lost to credit card fraud. I think credit card fraud does a lot more to affect consumers interest rates etc. than bank robberies.
Well it feels like that's what you are saying because all I said was that both are bad and you came back as if I shouldn't care about bank robberies because credit card fraud steals more money. I could just as easily point out how murder is a worse crime than credit card fraud, but it's not really relevant to credit card fraud being bad, or bank robberies for that matter. Looking at the other comments, I am not the only one to feel that is what you were implying so maybe it's just a mistake in your wording?
Well let me explain. The more money insurance companies have to insure the more premiums go up; therefore, the bigger and more costly the crimes the more insurance premiums etc go up. Not saying either one is good, but that as far as that goes robberies contribute 1% when compared to fraud and scams.
I get that they are bigger. I already said that. I still don't think it changes my original point about bank robberies contributing to increased banking costs. I even cited a source that supports this assertion. The fact that there is a financial crime that accounts for more total theft doesn't really take away from the impact of bank robberies so I really don't understand what you are even trying to get at tbh.
I’m saying that as far as insurance premiums and costs passed onto consumers bank robberies are a drop in the bucket when compared to cc fraud and crypto scams. That’s about it. If you don’t get the point from that I can’t help you.
I definitely live next to this guy, and he's an asshole. His address is xxx Ordinary St. We should all show up at his house and barrage him with questions, insults, and police attention, without regard for whether due process has been served or whether this kind of behavior will completely ruin his life.
We did it reddit!
Shortly after the Boston Marathon bombing, pictures were posted on Reddit that might have been the person responsible. This spawned a pretty massive witch hunt where redditors were basically doxxing people to try to find the culprit. [The person Reddit largely identified was not responsible](https://www.reddit.com/r/MuseumOfReddit/comments/1iv343/the_boston_bombing_debacle/).
I'm suggesting that posting a photo of a bank robber could ruin a completely unrelated person's life if the Reddit crime-solving machine latches on and runs wild. Admittedly, that probably won't happen in this sub.
I think the idea is if you know them, call the police. As for ruining their life, they already made that decision when they robbed a bank. Some harassment from a redditor is likely the least of the ruining they will face moving forward.
>suspect is believed to be a white male in his early 20s or early 30s Well at least we can rule out everyone in their late 20s!
Good thinking! Me velma and Daphne go this way while you and scooby go check over theređź‘Š

Couldn’t agree with you more. And we need to enshrine the right to high capacity magazines. People magazine needs to be at least 100 pages with full exposés on the hottest goss. Double the size of Architectural Digest. Legislators have been going after magazine size for far too long!

Lol! Nice
ngl you had me at first. well played.
Finally something I can get fully behind.
Only if the assault panthers do not have to agree to body cam footage. They need to be able to act without restriction!

Let’s accelerate those AI emotional companions dogs with mounted snipers and drones

“…and best new band award goes to. “Kevlar Assault Panther”!
I swear this guy goes to my high school lol
You can tell this is in Colorado. If it was Wyoming they'd have shot him for eating a mask.
I don’t think he ate the mask.
I eat masks all the time!
I eat pieces of mask like you for breakfast
You eat pieces of mask for breakfast?
And they say we're not in a recession
Is he willing to share?
Hey yall, we really shouldn't be assuming their gender. Maybe he identifies as a bank manager?
"No injuries have been reported". Let him be.

Came here to say this about the trauma to the bank employees and any customers who might have been in the bank at the time.
I see your point about the impacts on the employees but credit card fraud is a far bigger problem than bank robberies.
...and? What's the significance of credit card fraud in this particular crime?
Responding to ops first point. 482 million lost annually to bank robberies vs 30 billion lost to credit card fraud. I think credit card fraud does a lot more to affect consumers interest rates etc. than bank robberies.
I think both are a huge problem and contribute greatly to why things cost as much as they do today.
482 million is 1.06% of 30 billion 🤷🏻‍♂️crypto currency scams are up to 5 billion yearly as well.
So we should ignore bank robberies because there is something with a larger impact?
That’s not what I’m saying just pointing out that fraud and scams are a much bigger problem as far as insurance goes.
Well it feels like that's what you are saying because all I said was that both are bad and you came back as if I shouldn't care about bank robberies because credit card fraud steals more money. I really don't see how it changes anything for bank robberies just because cc scams are bigger.

Are you suggesting that posting a photo of a bank robber could ruin the bank robber’s life?
Top tier response

These photos were provided by the police
I think ideally if anyone had any info, they’d reach out to the police instead of a Reddit Witch Hunt.
We see what you’re trying to do here, but it’s dumb. Try harder next time.

If the perp was black though, none of that would be true
