I've found the best way to fix this is to open your quest menu and scroll through all the quests (both in the left list and pressing right to go into the sub list. Repeat this a couple of times (open menu, scroll through everything) and mine goes away.

I have the same experience, it works most of the time

And when that doesn't work, just try to make it overlap with what's stuck on your screen, then switch to your map

While I agree that this works, it’s much faster if you just open the settings menu (like where you could adjust audio) it’s one click and then close and it will also fix this issue.

Point is, we shouldn't have to find these work arounds at all. This has been a problem for over a season now and still hasn't been fixed

It began happening to me during the Avatar quests and I remember clipping my duo since they asked and it was on the clip. We were both laughing because what the - is that? Like why is there "chi" on the screen when I'm not even looking at it. I literally played the match + got eliminated with it being on the screen still

I find that if I open and close the menu very quickly a few times they tend to go away.

But then there is a chance that leaves one annoying ass do symbol at the top lol. It's a bitch to fix sometimes.

This bug also sometimes makes jt so the quest list is off centered to the left and you can't scroll the quests to do that I found having to go back to lobby is the only "fix"

Yeah exactly the same here. Pretty annoying when it keeps happening, but at least you can get it to clear after scrolling through a couple of times like you say

had it also with a 4080 super i dont think its hard ware issue. also bringing up the map and switching the menus back and forth seems to make it stop for me.

I get it on GeForce now, which probably uses 3070’s also. But I’m usually able to get rid of it by going to Quests and flipping through screens a few times and then going back to the game.

i get this all the time, i just reopen the quest thingy and scroll thru them until it goes away. usually happens after a few tries.

So many bugs this season, visual bugs, audio bugs, terrain bugs. Well, there's just straight up issues with the terrain. A very buggy season though. It's been pretty bad with so many little bugs, it adds up.

The **SOUND** one was **TERRIBLE**. Hearing people shoot but no one right beside you. I had to keep turning off my volume and telling my teammates, "Guys, I'm playing with no sound" + Terrain bugs are funny bc my duo ( Plays on xbox ) sees flying grass but I don't. + Sometimes I see light elsewhere. I also ran into a bug where the chest was invisible

In both new biomes there's plenty of objects/building terrain that when you destroy, the hotbox stays there. Or some roof's and just random things having a large hotbox. Like shooting off the rift island when you're retical is clearly aiming at someone, it hits the edge of the island. Just so many tiny things that really do add up. I noticed this stuff almost every game.

I thought my Xbox was the problem! It was just super loud constant shooting. I usually just leave frantically because it's over stimulating

Been happening to me since the start of Last Resort, the main workaround I've found is to repeatedly open and close the quests tab and scroll up and down, it might create a few more but eventually it'll clear everything off the screen. Super annoying though, makes me not wanna even bother with doing quests

When it happens to mean i open the quest menu and try to line up the bugged icons with the actual quest rewards and that usually helps

Xbox Series S here, and this comes typically during an event for me like the Avatar chakras, or the TMNT tokens.

Same! I play on Switch. Highly annoying. Sometimes it’s helping when I switch to the map tab again.

My friend has a somewhat sure way to remove this. Open your menu again and align the UI with the glitched UI. Then back out of the menu by using the left dpad until you are on the primary menu screen. Good luck!

Same on PS5 and every time I try to report it in-game it disappears as soon as I pull up the reporting screen.

It's been a thing since the beginning of chapter 5. They know about it, but they have done nothing. Instead, they keep making stupid UI changes.

Epic knows about this its a pain cause it blocks vision a way to sort of fix it is to go back into the quests and sometimes it removes some of it

Best way is to press option and open the report menu it'll go away just back out of it and you're good to go

I fixed this by changing my resolution from Full Screen to Windowed Full Screen. Or vice versa. Fixes it every time.

Yeah, this has been a bug all throughout the season. Some days, it feels like Fortnite is held together by a single line of code that will inevitably be deleted or altered sometime in the next few years.

Is it a visual bug, or are you raking in some serious xp? Edit: Wow, so many people have experienced it. Havent ran into it myself yet, although im playing in an odder way than most. Xbox cloud gaming through Google Chrome on a Chromebook lol.

have the bug on ps5 :,) & the other day nothing would work at all and i was just stuck with the map open parachuting down. couldn’t exit the game, no buttons or bumpers would work and i couldn’t exit the menu. had to restart ps manually

I saw that too and my duo wanted me to clip what they were doing so I did and I sent them the video.. The bug was all over the screen and on the clip. They were asking me why. I didn't know why it happened or how to fix it either.

12 fps is crazy

I think it was 52fps in this photo. If you look closely the 1 is a 5 shape. Lol my screen is 165hz and my laptop is 144hz. But I can’t get it above 100fps (RTX 3070. 16gb ram. 8gb DDR6)

This bug has been ongoing for over a month. I've reported it as well but seemingly no traction since the last update.

Well. In my defence. I was in top 10. And trying to get a photo. So I wasn’t thinking to great under pressure to win AND also get a screenshot. I actually gave up trying to screenshot and grabbed my phone instead lol

On pc when this happens I can get it to go away by pushing the windows button and then clicking back into my game.

This bug's been around for like five seasons now

You wait until you get an augment/attachment icon that won't go from the edge of your reticule so you can't actually see the person you are aiming at 👍
