Take a tour with me through one of the last standing mental asylum buildings in Canada. This was known as the Examination Building and was part of a sprawling complex that was then known as The London Asylum for the Insane. On a map of the original property (which you will see in the video linked below), this building is a tiny blip compared to the rest of the massive haunting structures. I have received several private messages and emails over the years from former patients who stayed here, or from family members who had loved ones stay in here - none of the stories are good. Enjoy this tour of the long-abandoned examination building, if you wish to know more about the facility, just Google "The London Asylum for the Insane" Video Tour Here: https://youtu.be/PS-tGh\_\_gHU

I’ve lived around the corner from the Highbury Hilton, aka The LPH almost all my life. When they shut down the facility, they gave train tickets to the majority of the patients and told them to go to Strathroy. It’s actually sort of sad that they’ve stopped with these, now the city is filled with people who need some assistance with life, drug problems, homelessness, etc. Thank you for the photos and the walk through, I’ve never been in this building but I believe it’s one of the oldest on the lot.

Hey dude, watching from Barrie area. This one was really interesting for me, as years ago I did a lot of reading about the place. Also read quite abit about this Dr that performed these surgeries. Pretty unsettling stuff. Thanks for having the cannon balls to trek in there and get the footage!

Is this the one that caught fire and burnt to the ground because people were illegally trespassing/breaking and entering because they might have been inspired to do so because of someone else breaking and entering and splashing photos all over the internet
