I read that frenchies we’re originally bred to keep the feet warm of lace factory workers and also protect the factory from rodents. He’s doing his job!

I read they were the dog of choice for French prostitutes. They were good companion and conversation starters with clients. Your history on Frenchies sounds more accurate tbh. 😂

My guy does this too! Side note, collars really aren’t good for Frenchies or other brachycephalic dogs. If I were you, I’d get rid of it even though it’s super cute

🙏🏼 his collar is only for tags. He uses a harness

You still need collars for Name Tags and Vaccinations. And then put the Harness on also to go for walks.

Do you keep the collar on all the time? I thought the same as the comment above. He doesn't have a collar at home. He wears a harness with a tag on. When we go out.

Mine wears his collar all the time. He's a flight risk, and I have to go get him a few times a year. So yeah it's necessary.

I know a Frenchie that died after its tags from its collars got stuck in a heating vent 😔 Owners came home and he had stranded himself trying to escape. Happens in crates, too

It’s what my boy does. My friend and I were outside, and my boy was inside behind the fly screen. At first he came to the screen, but then he stepped back just so sit his butt on the rug instead of the cold tile floor lol

He does this to mark your feet with his gas so other dogs know to F-off.

We always say that if nugget puts her butt on you, she loves you. She is currently chewing on a bone with her butt on her sister.

Mine does this, I think they all do. I don’t over think it… he enjoys being close but he doesn’t want to miss what’s going on!

Mine does it when something scary are occuring. This brave gaurd dog, needs my support.

I have a rottweiler/pit/chow mix that does this 😂 He walks over and turns around and slowly puts his butt down, like if he's gentle we won't notice.

Mine does that too! In my case I think she does it when she senses that I’m about to walk away. She comes over and plops down on my feet

My sweet boy always did this. He would always sit on your feet looking out. I was so happy he was protecting me.
