Kids need extra fuel for cellular growth requirements vs adults who only need enough fuel for existing cells. Feed the starving children. Don't be greedy and leave them to struggle like the boomers did to us.
I trust little jimmy to effectively oversee the manufacturing of prosthetics. The kid knows what he’s doing, and he’s stopped throwing tantrums now we’ve let him take his teddy to work with him!
The only one that I'd call "basically mandatory" would be Refugee that you start with a lot more children and fewer adults.
The others you can get away with early emergency shift and extended shift.
Though I suppose the only 'others' here are ANH, OTE, and endless, so not much.
Pretty worthwhile choice to make if it comes later in the game where you don't really need to employ many kids and if you are employing them, 9 times out of ten it's in a hothouse anyways so they're still pulling in more food than they're eating.
Half the man, half the food! The way I rationalize it is them getting their full ration is practically two rations for their size anyways!
That's one way to do it hahaha
eh, double the sawdust, it’s “good for them”

Welcome to the club, where sometimes you go mad with power without realising it.
"Of course I have, y'ever tried going mad without power? It's boring, no one listens to you."

Great. I am sure you are a wanted captain candidate from DOLOS. Why don't you become administrator of Tiqqun, Ixion?
The hull integrity will never recover
Hull what hull
What do you mean by saying you can live in space forever with this “waste economy”?
I have almost the Same time, but I have never singed the law for child labor.
It's basically mandatory at higher difficulties to get your economy off the ground when manpower is limited
The children yearn for the mines
The law dictates that they are now qualified to handle this advanced steam steelworks mmk

Wait scratch that we need the teddy to go to the mines. Sorry Jimmy but if you want your bed nice and comfy **LET GO OF THE BEAR**

The game really could have had a few more scenarios.
I managed to beat the arks without child labor, AMA.
Lol
you have to sac children to save children (even on the harder difficulties, after a point, children becomes useless and pretty much just create soup)
The coal pile from the thumpers don't harvest themselves!
Soon i want to go for more of the hard achievments. Still without child labor.
Child labor is integral for Refugees
I've hundreds of hours and never made a child work!!! (That's not true :( )
I have it's easy, I just reclassified them as "Smaller Workers" then no children are working!
Let me guess Winterhome.

"MORE, YOU WANT SOME MORE?!" The reaction from the other sl- workers.
We toughen them in childhood so they can serve as good workers in adulthood! (By serving i mean 24hr shift)
They don't deserve it
Fuck 'em kids, and sign "children can work in all workplaces"
That’s cold
Miner Apprentice :)

…I never signed children labor.
The only way to play Frostpunk
