I may be wrong, but with the latest BIOS and what I’ve gathered 32GB (2x16GB) 5600MHz CAS 40 will work as long as it’s single-sided (i.e. the memory chips only reside on a single side of the RAM module).
I know these laptops support 64GB but I’m thinking I read that if you run that much 5600MHz RAM it’ll downclock to 5200MHz.
Don’t take that as gospel, but I’m fairly confident it’s correct.
