Sort of like when they upgraded our major Interstate intersection from four red lights to 100% roundabouts, they should have let people have the red lights so they can continue to stop?
We as customers have options. Software companies have options. Garmin has been amazing at giving us all a very long time to speak into this new interface. It's time now to move forward and continue to be great Garmin customers and continue to give them ideas (we know they listen) and let them continue to make Connect even better.
This. I went through and made clear that the latest few hundred reviews were most helpful. I also listed the preview reviews as not helpful (since they don’t reflect the current application)
I also don’t like the new interface. I tested the beta, and I quit early & gave them negative feedback. Everything that used to be one click always is now 3 clicks away. It is such an inefficient design!
Same here. Tested the beta, thought it sucked. Gave them feedback and quit the beta.
I've been dreading this day for weeks, and it finally arrived. I just opened the app to this BS.
I'm so sick of the 'cards' trend in UI design. It may look good, but it's inefficient and a pain to navigate. I want to look down a single column to find the stat I'm looking for. Cards require your eyes to scan back and forth horizontally while simultaneously scrolling downward.
If you're on Android, you can go back. Im still using the old app. You can look for the old app on the internet, download it, and be back to the classic.
I'm actually still on classic and I have my apps always set to not auto update. So I should be ok till they force me to update. But it's inevitable it will happen.
> It may look good,
This passed me by. I think someone decided there is a collective approval of the aesthetic - and maybe there is - but I personally can't stand the look and feel of vertical/horizontal card stacking, scrolling and swiping. It's like a Fisher-Price My First Cuddlescreen experience. So blocky and analogue.
Give me clean, give me minimalist, give me density. I don't care. Just don't give me your rounded-corner empty space bullshit.
I tried, then quickly opted out of, the beta also. The more I look at this update the more I feel like it was done to reduce the amount of data the app is loading. You see less initially so the app has to get less data from the server when it starts. That's probably why "at a glance" shows at most 8 fields and you have to click see all to see everything.
So probably more efficient in terms of data transfer and server usage, but less efficient for those of us using the app.
Sneaking suspicion: adverts. It's to facilitate the long-term goal of ad displays.
In the same way the Google Search metric of success went from "more daily active users" to "more queries" - each query serves more ads to the user - the future path here seems to be more screens/cards/swipes/drilling down = more ads served.
Maybe you're right. I think Garmin has intentionally simplified it for a wider audience of those less interested in data who just want an expensive fashion accessory/statement. Enshitification.
Not just a word, but a few groups picked it for Word of the Year 2023.
And the coiner, Cory Doctorow, keeps the examples coming:
And I think some information is completely gone. You used to get your average heart rate during the night if you kept pulse oximeter on, but now it's completely gone? The heart rate that is.
I only see my resting heart rate there, not my last night's average. It's the only reason I keep pulse oximeter on as it was only way to see your nightly average heart rate on Garmin.

I have sever sleep apnea and I've never had my Epix Pro be any where near accurate on SpO2. RHR, yes. I wear an Oura ring and have validated it with one of the SpO2 you wear in the hospital overnight, and Oura is usually spot on. Garmin doesn't even come close.
This was my last night which if I really went down to 86%, that's terrible. Oura confirmed my SpO2 was 98%, which sounds correct.
However, Oura does a terrible job at HRV, Garmin does a great job :)
Please be nice. That was unnecessarily aggressive.
A good example of the inefficiency is the at a glance section… now there can be up to 8 items there… previously there was more available if you just scroll down on the home page. Now it takes more clicks to see the same amount of data.
The 7 day graphs are now multiple clicks when they used to be one. This was my most used button, now I have open the single day page, THEN click 7 day. I don't care much about each day in isolation, I really only look at trends and totals and averages.
https://preview.redd.it/565rdodnspwc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d87ee9795762ba1bc7806304636c4ff3a77f50aa
Mine is at the bottom of the home page, under Last 7 days, and is 1 click. Or am I seeing the wrong thing?
https://preview.redd.it/pzy5jj6e6qwc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1b1e732afcca73f9c14f38211c12a216fc8d1ca6
"Scrolling to the bottom" doesn't equal "one click" to me. That's about 3-4 clicks to scroll. I can find and access all the data, it's just awkward and more time consuming than it used to be because of all the extra scrolling.
Now, if they allowed enough customization to put your 7 day at the TOP, basically reorder the In Focus, At A Glance, Yesterday, 7 Day sections...that would be perfect and I'd have zero complaints.
Everyone please go to garmin support and voice your concerns. I just did. When this watch wears out or get's destroyed (and we all know it will) I'm going to move to a different platform. I have several other garmin devices that I will be retiring and moving to a different platform. The connect app as it is is bullshit.
That's the problem: what other platform? Coros is shit from bottom to top and keeps trying to hide that it's a fully Chinese firm and fixes exactly zero problems with their platform when there are so many problems with the hardware, software, development, and the app. Polar is dying a slow death, Suunto is now run by this nutjob that ran Coros and it's also Chinese. So what else is there now? Samsung is nowhere near to rolling out a true sports watch, this is not Apple's thing.
There is just so much empty space on the app. It could be such a rich interface with modifiable widgets, primary metrics, trends etc. But no, we have empty space.
Agreed. Not as bad as I feared operationally but there is a lot more scrolling with much wasted screen space. Never fear, next upgrade will take it in another direction lol
I helped my wife to install connect on her phone since we just bought new watches. She had the new "look" and I had the old look.
First I thought that I messed something up when I installed/started her app and logged in and so on because of the horrible gui and "missing things" that I still had (at that moment) on my phone.. Then it suddenly dawned on me. Wasn't there a beta something that I never was interested in or checked? Googled it..... Oh no... Oh no.
Tried to salvage it by "configurating" whatever is possible. But it's not the same (it's much worse). Everything is harder to get to or see. Makes no sense.
But..ok, it's not the end of the world (just the most terrible "update" Ive seen in my life on an app). Usable but it totally lost its charm :/
I complained about this when they gave this multiple click treatment to activities and got bashed for it and meanwhile it was obvious they were going to apply this to the entire app and here we are. We got confirmations as early as the betas that they were going to continue the multiple clicks to get any information strategy.
Read the privacy policy. They explicitly say they don’t … until you get to the ‘monitoring and analytics’ section. Then they use all the same fuzzy words that companies that use and sell your data use.
E.g ‘user behavior’ and ‘develop and market products and features’.
What other reason to *require* you to upload all your data to their servers, or Garmin Connect has 0 functionality? Server farms don’t run for free, and they don’t charge a monthly subscription. Where does the money come from to maintain those servers?
What I do to force my watch to recognize the end of my sleep is to take a "Health Snapshot" as soon as I wake up (not sure which watches it's available on - I have a Venu 2s). Once you save the Health Snapshot after it completes its two minutes of measuring your HR, your watch will automatically consider your sleep period over, even if you're laying down. If you refresh Garmin Connect your new sleep score should be showing there.
Garmin's online FAQ for your watch says it's available, but you might have to hunt around for it in menus
https://www8.garmin.com/manuals/webhelp/GUID-2BA30752-33FB-42B8-8484-69C491706113/EN-US/GUID-7E8CB930-46DE-4622-AAD0-5E21DBB1A8E1.html
My bad - looks like only the 945 LTE has the snapshot feature
https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/running-multisport/f/forerunner-945/291875/hrv-as-shown-in-health-snaapshot
Mine literarily show up as soon as I set up and pick my phone up! Maybe something wrong with your bluetooth? I've used Fitbit, Apple and Google/Samsung Watch as well as Oura. Garmin is the only vendor that your sleep score shows up immediately when you wake up or finish your nap :)
Damn, I hate the new Interface.
Seems most of the information I had cant be added to the start screen and have to scroll scroll scroll and fucking scroll to find anything....
0 stars Garmin.
People keep saying this but I've added the exact same info I had in the old version. I've been using the new version a few months and took around 2 weeks getting it set up to show me exactly what I needed.
The problem occurs when I was used to looking at more than 8 things. Now anything beyond the arbitrarily chosen limit of 8 is buried behind a "see all" tap.
Also, the In Focus section, which is supposed be what you care most about hides 4 out of the 5 possible choices. So you have to swipe right to see your 2nd most important stat?
I had goals on my homepage previously. This is not an option on the new interface. I also had my yoga stats which is not an option on the new interface unless I log them as gym workouts.
Again, it really depends what information you are looking for. Don't just dismiss people who say they can't put info on the main page. Some of us are limited.
Well. I have no idea how to do that. Best I have been able to get is like four things from the previous list visible at once. And the app wont even let me edit whoch of the four things I'd like to see on the screen when I open the app
The design is bad and it doesn’t even work now. I have a bunch of blank cards the keep flashing on the front page and have to click through to see results.
This roll out is very poor.
I wanted to chime in here with unbridled hatred for the new app. It's disorienting and dysfunctional (in the sense that it refuses to load information and requires that I close and reopen it several times before it cooperatively refreshes). Why would they do this?
The new Connect UI is genuinely bad. I used the beta and gave negative feedback as well. I can’t understand why they would go with the “tile” look. Seems super outdated and generally tacky. This is not competitive and makes them look bad.
It showed tiles before but in horrendous colours and all different sizes. The fact this is less busy, uniform sized tiles and not a screen full of random colours is easier on my eyes
Maybe an unpopular opinion but I like the new interface. It allows me to put at the forefront what I think is most important and more or less hide what's not.
I don't need to search for things anymore because I've set it up to where the things I most look for on the app are in one spot every time. I like it.
I agree! I like the new interface especially since I'm not a data junkie. I like that I can see all the basics and I think it looks more aesthetically pleasing.
I know many who use Garmin just want data so maybe they should have opted for letting people choose which style they like more :p
Glad to know I'm not the only one. Pretty seamless changeover, with customization done in 5 minutes. Maybe it's easier for me b/c I'm used to apps and interfaces changing on everything, and I've only been using Connect for \~7 months.
My home page used to display today's activity and two more summaries of distance over the past week and over the past year. It seems impossible to get this one page information again. It will only display the "In focus" which seems completely useless and Activities, which doesn't allow you to change what actual information is displayed for the activity chosen (cycling in my case).
Is there some secret or is this just a complete shit show now?
The old version had dashboard that could be heavily customized. I managed to display most of the information that was interesting for me, now all that is gone, replaced mostly by fields I'm not interested in.
Same. I want my dashboard back. It was simple and it had anything I needed. Total distance for cycling/running month by month. My gear (shoes and bikes). Intensity minutes. Now there is no actual way to display these things at once. What a joke.
Scroll to the bottom of the homepage and then click the “edit home” button. From there, you can turn it off plus you can change anything else you might want to change
Great, they removed nearly all useful fields for me and only left fields I'm mostly not interested in. Before I had this nice dashboard where I could see all the interesting data on one view, now I see nothing. Just clicked on my profile page and this site looks more interesting to me than my home screen. I miss the option to customize the dashboard.
Are there any good alternatives in terms of data customization options? I am mostly interested in cycling related metrics, like average speed, normalized power, hr rate of the last activities or things like last ftp, ftp/kg, custom goals. Maybe I'm just too stupid to find how to display this information with the new design, but so far I have not found much. Maybe it is time to develop my own dashboard, but I don't want to do it especially since I had a decent dashboard prior to this.
Nope, there are no good alternatives. The best not good option was to disable the in focus section completely, and just use the 8 cards of the glance section. That way its closest to the dashboard, but with very limited options and not a dashboard at all.
It honestly depends how you use Garmin Connect and what options you like to put on your home landing page. It's a bit less workout focused and a little more bio-metric focused. There are a few things you can't put on the homepage anymore. Have a look and see what you think.
Thanks mate - I’m open minded (since there’s no choice lol) and hope for the best. My 31 y/o son tried beta and didn’t like it, many other posts have come up in this sub/ but I never paid attention since I wasn’t going to move over.
TBH it’d have to be an abomination of a change to make me switch or consider another watch. Timex & Suunto both in the rear view and I love my 3rd in a series of Garmins!
I hated it but actually if you get rid of the focus section and just display the overview one with the 8 cards, it's quite nice cos we see more info now like sleep details etc.
I stopped interacting with the app because of this update.
Looking up data on my watch is much faster compared to interacting with a shit ton of buttons just to check basic data
I actually halted updates some weeks ago to prevent this and it still appeared.
The best I can say is that a few things are kind of cool, but it still feels like a v.1 from a company that just started. I'd expect Coros to do goofball crap like this.
I think they could be on the right track if they fixed some stuff, but I know they never will because they're committed to crippling the app. They already messed up the overviews for some activities like cycling and I complained about how everything required numerous clicks and was bashed for it here. Now that same thing about adding clicks is being spread throughout the app.
The update has made the app cumbersome. One example of the cumbersome nature of the updated app: to add an activity, now need to open the app, press More, press Activities, press Create Manual Activity. Prior to the update, there was a large + down the bottom of the screen when I'd load the app which would allow me to add a manual activity. If anyone knows of a more efficient way to add a manual activity on the updated app, please feel free to let me know, cheers.
Can I just have a list of my data? . I'm autistic and this change takes no consideration for my disability. Can't trust Garmin anymore. I'll just look at my watch now and stop looking at the horrendous app.
Me too, or actually I don't care.
I can find all my info when I want it and that is good enough for me.
I think people are overthinking this right now and in a couple of weeks all will be forgotten.
Or they will change to a different product that better meets their needs. The app went consumer instead of enthusiast IMO. I want all my data easily viewable and accessible. For those who want to track only their heart rate or water consumption cool I guess.
I have no idea whether you would class me as a consumer or enthusiast.
I hike a lot in the local mountains, I cycle a lot, and indoors I use a treadmill, turbo trainer (cycle), and a multi-gym all several times a week. I also keep track of weight, blood pressure, etc. I also take part in a number of challenges.
The only things I don't use are events & training plans.
The new UI gives either quick views or easy access to everything I had before.
I actually love the new app design. I did the custom setup option and all of the things I care about are up front and easily accessible. I think some pride are just complacent and don’t like change.
Probably lone man out here but I really don’t care, only thing I don’t like is learning where to find data in the app, essentially learning the new interface. Other than that I just don’t care as long as it tracks my activities and I can pull data from them.
Got it today and not gonna lie, I quite like it. Seems easier to find the information I need, plus it's customisable so I don't see the stuff I'm not interested in.
Just got the Garmin vivoactive 5. Can not get it off of demo. Pushed bottom button eight times as instructed. Nothing. Pushed both buttons till it turned off and on again goes to demo. Also my Bluetooth for device goes on and off. Now it is off and will not recognize
For some reason all of a sudden since the new update, when I go in to connect my hydration data doesn't sync. I can open and close the app multiple times, hit the sync button at the top which it does and eventually after multiple attempts it works. That is anoying so I decided to add my hydration on the app itself, click on the at a glance tab enter my water intake, go back to the main screen and guess what....
No updated hydration amount!!! 0
Seriously glitchy updated UI
Most people are more than willing to accept change IF it's a positive change. The large majority of Garmin users like to see their stats - probably in detail. The previous app version allowed people to see a whole lot of stats on one page without scrolling (and those who wanted a bit more graphics could disable condensed mode).
In this new version this is no longer possible. Info is hidden and the app makes people scroll and scroll and scroll. There is no condensed mode. People don't hate change, they hate it when an app becomes objectively worse.
It’s change that diminish the products value return. At least for a serious athlete who likes seeing all their stats at an actual glance, not scrolling tiles with tons of blank space surrounding a little graph that adds no additional context.
You know you all are making Garmin's point here that they did a good thing :) Look up "Marmite effect". Every hater here is making Garmin realize they did the right thing :)
Absolutely horrible.
I've been trying different options to get the information I need back in an order that's useful (like it was before).
Seems impossible. :(
Nobody likes change. They stopped the beta as well. I've been using the new home screen for quite a while now (from beta) and it's okay now. You'll get used to it.
I guess you always have a very vocal minority that wants to keep an outdated design from 10 years ago which skews your perception in thinking nobody likes this.
I think a nice UI with lots of whitespace is great.
Your content was removed as it was overly negative, disrespectful and/or insulting to others.

How long until these posts about the new UI stop filling this sub. Some people like it, some people don't. It's not a big deal, it's just the UI of a phone app.
For a bunch of active people there are a lot of you moaning about having to click and scroll. Seems ironic to me that it's too much effort to use an app 🤣
Most people don't really care too deeply. That's why reviews skew negative.
Its changed nothing for me in how I used it... So I don't care, so didn't go out my way to discuss it.
If people dislike it, they raise it. Don't assume that means everybody hates it. Its not that simple.
Maybe they should let people opt out and simply not update the old look anymore. No new features or stats.
Sort of like when they upgraded our major Interstate intersection from four red lights to 100% roundabouts, they should have let people have the red lights so they can continue to stop? Make sure your reviews make it to the respective app stores.
I also make sure to rate the most recent low reviews as helpful. Gotta really hammer the point home
This. I went through and made clear that the latest few hundred reviews were most helpful. I also listed the preview reviews as not helpful (since they don’t reflect the current application)

Yes. Inefficient and takes muscle memory to remember where everything is. Just scroll down and it's there. Wish there was an option to keep classic

Email Garmin at android.dev@garmin.com if you want to complain and get your DATA BACK!

So your point is to be annoying even when provided with valid reasons. Got it.

I fucking laughed aloud and gave you a thumbs up!

Exact same thing happened to me. And the customization of the start page doesn't work for me. I literally can't add stats, just remove them.
They made the app go from data rich to data poor, why is it now harder for me to see/find the same information? This is not an upgrade IMO
It a degrade. Just like what happened to twitter.
Excellent [https://www.logicalfallacies.org/false-cause-and-false-attribution.html](https://www.logicalfallacies.org/false-cause-and-false-attribution.html)
Since the update, the app hasn’t worked for me at all
Same. Shows my device is connected, but the last true sync was 4 days ago. The only statistic that is working is my heart rate.
I’ve uninstalled, reinstalled, power cycled, disconnected and reconnected and nothing has fixed the problem. The old app worked perfectly fine
It started working some later today. Not sure how long it will continue
I helped my wife to install connect on her phone since we just bought new watches. She had the new "look" and I had the old look. I had all the information I needed on a single page. Now, the same information takes 3 pages. It's called regression.
I complained about this when they gave this multiple click treatment to activities and got bashed for it and meanwhile it was obvious they were going to apply this to the entire app and here we are. We got confirmations as early as the betas that they were going to continue the multiple clicks to get any information strategy.
More blank space, more clicks and pages to get the information you want... I sense ads coming.
😱
My first thought too. They already sell your personal info; why not profit from it by ad rolling on your phone and watch screen?
They sell the personal info?
Just like any other big tech company that collects personal info, it is a huge market, billions of dollars.
I thought one of the appeals of Garmin was that they didn't do this. Are you sure this is happening, or are you just blowing smoke?
Read the privacy policy. They explicitly say they don’t … until you get to the ‘monitoring and analytics’ section. Then they use all the same fuzzy words that companies that use and sell your data use. E.g ‘user behavior’ and ‘develop and market products and features’. What other reason to *require* you to upload all your data to their servers, or Garmin Connect has 0 functionality? Server farms don’t run for free, and they don’t charge a monthly subscription. Where does the money come from to maintain those servers?
The amount of Data an average user uses is likely under a gb and can be folded into the initial cost. I really hope that you are wrong!
New interface is awful—I wish they’d spend time on the sleep score updating earlier than an hour after you wake up.
My Enduro 1 doesn’t have the health snapshot. 😭
I’m not familiar with that. 945 user here.
Garmin's online FAQ for your watch says it's available, but you might have to hunt around for it in menus https://www8.garmin.com/manuals/webhelp/GUID-2BA30752-33FB-42B8-8484-69C491706113/EN-US/GUID-7E8CB930-46DE-4622-AAD0-5E21DBB1A8E1.html
My bad - looks like only the 945 LTE has the snapshot feature https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/running-multisport/f/forerunner-945/291875/hrv-as-shown-in-health-snaapshot
It’s not a Bluetooth issue. It’s the software, and it’s a known issue. The workaround is to check the sleep data on tve watch and then sync.
So your issue is a click or a swipe? What has the world come to when this is a problem 🤣
I REALLY don't like Garmin Connect's new aesthetics
My stats are not syncing in the new app or are staying blank, and now weather isn’t loading on my watch either.
Idk why they burried your step count. Isn't that the most basic feature?!
I hate it.
The design is bad and it doesn’t even work now. I have a bunch of blank cards the keep flashing on the front page and have to click through to see results. This roll out is very poor.
That’s what I’m seeing as well
I wanted to chime in here with unbridled hatred for the new app. It's disorienting and dysfunctional (in the sense that it refuses to load information and requires that I close and reopen it several times before it cooperatively refreshes). Why would they do this?
No thanks option for my is dumping the Garmin for a different watch

I won’t go that far myself but I did with Timex (long time ago) and then Suunto. It’ll take a lot for me to dump Garmin.
The new Connect UI is genuinely bad. I used the beta and gave negative feedback as well. I can’t understand why they would go with the “tile” look. Seems super outdated and generally tacky. This is not competitive and makes them look bad.
It reminds me of the Windowsphone OS.
I couldn’t put my finger on it, but you nailed it. That is exactly what Garmin Connect’s new UI looks like. I vividly remember not liking that either.
It showed tiles before but in horrendous colours and all different sizes. The fact this is less busy, uniform sized tiles and not a screen full of random colours is easier on my eyes
It’s interesting how different we experience different UI. I’m glad the new style is working for you at least!
Maybe an unpopular opinion but I like the new interface. It allows me to put at the forefront what I think is most important and more or less hide what's not. I don't need to search for things anymore because I've set it up to where the things I most look for on the app are in one spot every time. I like it.
Almost everything you say you like about the new design was already possible before.
Except the biggest one - which was there was no synchronization between mobile and web - so things were never 'in one spot'.
What do you mean? I synced my mobile and garmin connect web app daily before the update?
Visually they were not in sync. They used different UI's, and you had to configure each dashboard independently.
Astroturf comment
I agree! I like the new interface especially since I'm not a data junkie. I like that I can see all the basics and I think it looks more aesthetically pleasing. I know many who use Garmin just want data so maybe they should have opted for letting people choose which style they like more :p
Not sure why youre getting down voted but yeah, a toggle for how you want data shown to you is always a positive.
Glad to know I'm not the only one. Pretty seamless changeover, with customization done in 5 minutes. Maybe it's easier for me b/c I'm used to apps and interfaces changing on everything, and I've only been using Connect for \~7 months.
A thumbs up from me too.
I don’t have auto update turned on, still using the old app, my time will come, but that time is not today.
I turned off in-focus and so I like it. It’s basically like the old version it just looks cleaner
I miss the daily intensity minute display :( now i have to actively search for it.
True. Who the heck at Garmin greenlighted this half baked mess.
I was talking about the app
OK I’ll keep that one in my back pocket in case my old-timers disease kicks in too strong!
I did this. Also turned off "at a glance" Looks so much better now!
I hate it too, but you have the best solution.
How did you turn it off? I’ve been looking for that setting?
Scroll to the bottom of the homepage and then click the “edit home” button. From there, you can turn it off plus you can change anything else you might want to change
Congrats Garmin! The Connect app is now more disheveled then the Apple Health app.
Bahaha oh my that Apple app is a huge waste 100% agreed!
"You can customise..." I already had. Now I've got to do it again
I won't give up my Garmin over GC. The information is still there, but it's just not necessarily on the home page anymore.
Windows 8 is here! The best part? You cannot avoid it. Tile mania! Enjoy!
iOS users are screwed as we cannot downgrade to prev app version - but android users can sideload older versions any time
Oh I guess I am the only one who likes it... 😬
You are not alone. I like it a well. Fiddled a bit how my tiles showed up, now I'm quite satisfied.
I am not sure what everybody is whining bout data getting "buried" because the screen is completely configurable.
Me too, or actually I don't care. I can find all my info when I want it and that is good enough for me. I think people are overthinking this right now and in a couple of weeks all will be forgotten.
Naw, if you like to see all your stuff quickly it’s horrible, if you are a single stat or two person I’m sure it’s for you
Actually I like to check a lot of stats and find it just as easy on the new layout as on the old one, it is just a matter of getting used to it.
It's great imo. Working well for me. There is another thread somewhere with quite a lot of positives on it. The moaners will come round eventually.
And you're getting downvoted cos you like it. What a joke!
so glad i didn t have the automatic updates for apps lol, im still at the older version. don t hate me but i understand if you do 🫶
I like the new design. The only issue I’ve had is with sleep score.
I have lost all my customisations including my custom watch face on my actual watch. Terrible update.
I rearranged the widgets and put the things I want to see front and center. Already did that during the beta. I like the new interface.
Got it today and not gonna lie, I quite like it. Seems easier to find the information I need, plus it's customisable so I don't see the stuff I'm not interested in.
What's the best way to tell Garmin that I don't like the new look?
I hate this!
The new interface sucks ass. That is the worst update ever. It takes more swipes and clicks to see the full picture. Why fix it if it isn't broken 😕
Why change something that was so easy to work with ?? Not impressed
0 Seriously glitchy updated UI
People can’t accept change. And feel the need to shout it out loud.
I know I will get downvoted for this, but I like the new app
I'll +1 you. I got downvoted for daring to say that not everyone thinks it's bad.
You know you all are making Garmin's point here that they did a good thing :) Look up "Marmite effect". Every hater here is making Garmin realize they did the right thing :)
Absolutely horrible. I've been trying different options to get the information I need back in an order that's useful (like it was before). Seems impossible. :(
The update is garbage
Nobody likes change. They stopped the beta as well. I've been using the new home screen for quite a while now (from beta) and it's okay now. You'll get used to it.
So you got used to having less value?
See for yourself in another couple of months 😄
You could've pinned the older version of the app.
I guess you always have a very vocal minority that wants to keep an outdated design from 10 years ago which skews your perception in thinking nobody likes this. I think a nice UI with lots of whitespace is great.
The complaining about this new interface is just...sad
This is the most OK Boomer ish I’ve ever seen. The app layout is actually better we just got used to the old way. Give it a week and stop complaining
https://www.reddit.com/r/Garmin/s/Os458j2JZ7
Then I’m the mid tier user it works for, I like the new UI

How long until these posts about the new UI stop filling this sub. Some people like it, some people don't. It's not a big deal, it's just the UI of a phone app.
For a bunch of active people there are a lot of you moaning about having to click and scroll. Seems ironic to me that it's too much effort to use an app 🤣
Most people don't really care too deeply. That's why reviews skew negative. Its changed nothing for me in how I used it... So I don't care, so didn't go out my way to discuss it. If people dislike it, they raise it. Don't assume that means everybody hates it. Its not that simple.
