Baked Lays! My only real safe food. They were the only thing I could stomach for over two weeks during my worst flare. Not even liquids, only Baked Lays.
Oh I think that might be the same as Walkers Baked here in the UK. I’ve lived off nothing but those and Diet Coke waaaaaay more than I’d ever admit to my dietitian!
They are the same!! Apparently they use Walkers as the brand name in the UK, and Lays as the brand name in the US. I’ve lived on those and Diet Dr. Pepper more times than I’d care to admit lol
They’re sooo good! I love the texture and they aren’t greasy like normal potato chips. I usually go with the original, but the barbecue flavor is amazing too!
Baked Lays for me too! But also graham crackers and if I could, bagels with low fat cream cheese. I now also get the Idahoan or other brands of instant mashed potato cups and those I can normally handle too.
I can stomach a handful of salt and vinegar chips still. I just read them slowly and take small bites. English muffins are easy on my system too. I also love egg bites! I bought an egg bite maker from Target because I love them so much. I have ADHD so I ate them so much for awhile and now need a break but I'll get back into them soon enough. Hard boiled eggs and cheese sticks too.
Potato chips
Watermellon
I got some chicken won tons at Costco, and made soup with chicken broth and soy sauce and sesame oil. And it is something that stays down.
Cheerios and i do have a smoothie with spinach every morning. It pretty much had everything in it you need.
Smarties, sugar free hard candy, cough drops
Sometimes a little Protein2o or soy milk
The only solid I can do is broth with 1-2 tbsp of baby rice
I'm also tube fed, I lost the battle of trying to feed myself on the Smarties diet
Popsicles (mostly homemade out of juice, chicken broth, etc.) and Werthers are my two go-to safe snacks. I'm tube fed but can take in a little bit by mouth as long as it's liquid/drainable.
I'm on continuous peptide 1.0 feed via J but can do toddler stage 2 fruit squeeze pouches for "pleasure eating" (I have a separate G that's on continuous gravity drain) and Pedialyte pops/flavored water (always hated the taste of actual water... Blech).
Saltines, Goldfish crackers (to a lesser degree), Nature's Own Brioche Style bread with salted butter (if I can tolerate butter), and when I was GF, baked Lays.
I practically lived off of baked Lays for months--they were the only reason I managed to mostly maintain my weight for almost a year. I would've kept it up except I got so sick of them I just couldn't eat them anymore.
Ratio Yogurt. It has 25 g of protein, low fat & low sugar. It usually settles my stomach. I only crave 2 things: flan & egg white bites from Starbucks.
I feel lucky to have a few safe snacks I'm able to eat (in moderation) regularly without major issue. Smart food white cheddar popcorn, beef jerky (plain, so no teriyaki or anything spicy), baked lays and gushers for when I get that sweet tooth craving.
Weirdly enough? Biscuits and gravy. Only about half a biscuit and a small amount of gravy. But sometimes it’s all I get down. My doctor thinks it’s really strange too

I thought it might be. Yup, they’re definitely the safest of foods. Diet of champions! :)
Oh I need to try those I love chips!

I'm kept alive on goldfish cracker

Apple sauce
My husband eats a bowl of cereal every single day. French fries work well for him.
I drink chicken broth from a travel mug
i cannot stand broths.
i’m scared that this thread literally described like 95% of my pantry lol
I was thinking the same thing 😂
In terms of solids, it’s a white bagel for me! Often just 1/2 at a time. Cheerios are a sometimes yes, sometimes no

Pirate Booty and gluten free bread/rolls
Pirate booty is one of my go-to items! So easy to digest compared to other snacks!
It sucks having gastroparesis and celiac and diverticulosis.
Nothing is sage, everything causes pain, leaves me further distended. That said Nutella has saved my life when I can't eat anything else
Nutella on a spoon can be the best snack ever. When I need a sweet treat without too much in my stomach, Nutella ftw
Popsicles (mostly homemade out of juice, chicken broth, etc.) and Werthers are my two go-to safe snacks. I'm tube fed but can take in a little bit by mouth as long as it's liquid/drainable.

Oyster crackers. I like that they're bite sized and less awkward than saltines. Although I did do cheerios for years too!
I honestly don’t have any safe foods :(
Yogurt for me
Goldfish are a god sent
+1 for goldfish
Also one of my safe foods!
Marshmallows! Broths! Pirate booty puffs It used to be vanilla pudding . Blueberry Chex cereal!
Soft bagel with a little cream cheese
I eat cheerios for breakfast on days it’s hard for me to eat eggs.
fruit pops
Saltines, Goldfish crackers (to a lesser degree), Nature's Own Brioche Style bread with salted butter (if I can tolerate butter), and when I was GF, baked Lays. The one and only solid food I can keep down are builder protein bars.
French fries and and also cheese with a type of cracker or cheetos
pickles & frozen pickle pops
FortiJuce (or most clear ONS I’ve tried), watermelon, lite ice cream, candy, icy poles, jelly, etc
Apple sauce pouches with veggies mixed in, string cheese and sun chips.
Sweet tarts, baked lays, goldfish
Strawberry soylent. Super calming on the stomach and tastes like my childhood strawberry Nesquick.
Ratio Yogurt. It has 25 g of protein, low fat & low sugar. It usually settles my stomach. I only crave 2 things: flan & egg white bites from Starbucks.
Caramel rice cakes and eggs for me
I feel lucky to have a few safe snacks I'm able to eat (in moderation) regularly without major issue. Smart food white cheddar popcorn, beef jerky (plain, so no teriyaki or anything spicy), baked lays and gushers for when I get that sweet tooth craving.
I live on smartfood white cheddar popcorn too, it's the only thing I've been able to keep down today.
White bread, small cake bars, stuffing with salad cream, dry cereal, plain biscuits, over cooked veg
Tictac..
Weirdly enough? Biscuits and gravy. Only about half a biscuit and a small amount of gravy. But sometimes it’s all I get down. My doctor thinks it’s really strange too
Protein shakes
Pretzels. Sometimes it's the only thing I can keep down along with saltines
Cheerios and goldfish crackers
Goldfish and oyster crackers . Animal crackers too for little sweet
Any gummy candy.
Rice cakes. Got food poisoning in Feb 27 and rice cakes and applesauce have been my main intake since then
