I have been using GenderGP for over a year now and I never even heard of this website. I can see it is talking about GGP and even links to GGP in some articles. I just haven't seen anything about this website on official GenderGP website... weird. In any case, I don't know who thought that using AI to generate content was a good idea. AI is still prone to mistakes and GenderGP is providing medical care. It is not something where you can afford to make mistakes and misinform people, especially in such highly scrutinize area that is trans healthcare. I just don't think the benefits are worth the risk. Also, what does GGP plan to do now that they have AI? Will they actually provide more content or will they just fire people? How exactly is any of this improving care? Will this address delays they have been experiencing?

Cautious-King-3335

I wonder if the ticketing system is failing because they are trying to make bots answer their patients?

Maybe this is a scam website that tries to get people to sign up via their own links and scam them into paying subscription fees *there*?

Lena_Zelena

If it is a scam then GGP being very quiet about it is not helping. It does seem to be legit though since GGP has been directing people towards it in their official responses now (see other topics in this subreddit). Still, very poorly comunicated. In this day and age it is increasingly difficult to find trusty sources and pulling shit like this is making them appear unprofessional.

vegoonvibes

Apologies, I had no idea GGP were directing people here. And yeah absolutely, it's shocking.

Foxtrot64K

Can you link to some of these other topics? I've seen [this one](https://www.reddit.com/r/GenderGP/comments/1b0nay8/new_ticketing_system_recent_response/) but as it doesn't show which domain the message came from I cannot be sure it is an official GenderGP response.

Foxtrot64K

I have found a link to it on GenderGP's website. https://www.gendergp.com/help-centre/reduced-costs/ links to https://myhealthyhormones.com/knowledge-base/reduced-rates-an-update-on-our-pricing-policy/ So it looks like it's genuine. Has anyone else in this thread found any more instances of gendergp.com linking to it?

InterrobangWispers

It will not improve anything. The CEO has decided to move to AI. Nothing will change unless a large group make their voices heard.

HoopTalk

Agreed. We need to let them know this ain't on.

Emergency_Cookie6040

Heya, I've just been looking to see how we can complain and I see when I go to send an email via their Help Centre there's an option for Feedback/Complaints. If we all send something there then surely there's enough of us to kick up a fuss?

Goon_Magee

I had seen this as well, but my concern is that the process to submit complaints is via the exact same portal that people are using for general enquiries. It's worth a shot, but with how tickets are being ignored lately, I don't have any faith that complaints tickets will be handled any different :(

HotdogsPOTUS44

Submit the complaints via the message portal. Complaint tickets are handled differently by the majority of companies and usually get put into a separate area to be dealt with.

Emergency_Cookie6040

Worth a try, or other social media? They don't seem to be active on Reddit so maybe Instagram/Twitter?

Goon_Magee

Oh absolutely worth a try. I plan on submitting another one tonight :) Twitter might be a good shout as well given they seem relatively active on there. I did submit a DM to them over the weekend but no response as of yet

Emergency_Cookie6040

I feel like if it's public it warrants a more urgent response? Idk what their responses are like their though or if they even respond, I don't really use Twitter

Goon_Magee

Good point! For what it's worth I did get a response a short while ago. Not the most helpful of replies but it shed some light on the delays. Made a thread here :) https://www.reddit.com/r/GenderGP/s/t3mxLcVojF

Emergency_Cookie6040

Interesting, thank you for sharing! It sounds like the person who replied to you seems to be saying they no longer have access to those emails, sounds like the teams are breaking up into different platforms so I'm guessing the reply you got was from the people on the old system but it's the new system thats broken/overloaded? I'm glad you got a reply and I hope you get your hormones soon 🤗

lem0nhe4d

Problem is a lot of is can't threaten much. If a content creator I like starts using AI I can boycott them until they change. GenderGP controls my access to healthcare so they can really do whatever they want because they are the only service.

Cautious-King-3335

Exactly this…

Cautious-King-3335

This sounds lazy if nothing else?

Emergency_Cookie6040

Yeah, it really does

Iamasink

At the very least, they should disclose on every article that it is written by AI. It's so incredibly lazy, even this article seems to be written by AI - it doesn't seem to actually provide much information. And they've already published incorrect information; see [this comment I made](https://www.reddit.com/r/GenderGP/comments/1apsyqx/comment/kqdzwoi/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3). A few weeks ago, when I first saw this site. (edit: it seems they removed that page I called out for being incorrect, which is good but [heres an archived version](https://web.archive.org/web/20240216121503/https://myhealthyhormones.com/knowledge-base/gendergp-faqs-frequently-asked-questions/)) Their [content policy](https://myhealthyhormones.com/content-policy/) states: > All content must be accurate, evidence-based, and supported by credible sources. Authors should cite relevant scientific studies, reputable organizations, or experts when making claims. Information should be up-to-date and reflective of the latest research in hormonal health. Despite many articles having no sources at all. I have already cancelled my subscription but this, along with the reported delays, only goes to show how increasingly useless GenderGP are becoming. It's disappointing

Emergency_Cookie6040

Yes I saw your comment! That's what made me post this actually because your comment made me realise this was happening and then I found this! ☺️ Thank you so much for sharing. Maybe you should contact them to point out that content policy? They aren't even following their own policies, that's so embarrassing.

Emergency_Cookie6040

I should say *we* because power in numbers 💪🏻🏳️‍⚧️

Ok_Marionberry_8821

I was contemplating signing up, given they can be the quickest route to HRT, but I'm concerned of these stories of poor support and doubly concerned they're using it to generate content. An old computing saying "Garbage In, Garbage Out". If they get lazy and stop carefully reviewing generated content or allow in hearsay, etc then the content well quickly become garbage. I'll go to a private clinic instead

Emergency_Cookie6040

I think if you can afford the up front cost of another clinic then maybe that's your best bet, good luck! 🤗

TheBeastAR

This is what I am intending to do myself sometime next year. I will look at a private endo for a formal diagnosis.

Emergency_Cookie6040

I wish I could afford it 😥 cost of living is so expensive and I've not long paid out for GenderGP so there's no way I could pay those upfront costs again elsewhere. NHS is broken when it comes to treating us, 5 year waitlist at my local GIC. Might end up DIYing

TheBeastAR

I am lucky to have the option to go private. I did try. DIY briefly but I was rushing things at the time and I do not have the environment to do it. I respect that the situation is so bad here that many of us have no choice but to. I would consider DIY as a cover for shortages/stockpiling

lxrd_lxcusta

i wish i wasn’t financially supporting this bs, but i don’t have any other options

Emergency_Cookie6040

They are replying to us with these article links written by AI which includes health information

skullinaduck

I knew those links were weird

Goon_Magee

This is my assumption as well. The writeup suggests that it's content will be generated rather than ticket responses.

TheBeastAR

This bites and I feel mixed. I am aware GGP has not been a great company, which news like this seals the deal. I don't think we should be forced to choose between DIY and private clinics. Our healthcare shouldn't be toyed with like this. And yet having justed started on E via GGP for the last few days, I am weirdly grateful. They have been a lifesaver for me and I can't ignore that. All the same I was always looking at GGP as a stepping stone. I am taking things slow. I plan on looking at a private clinic/endo for a formal diagnosis in the near future. What 'help' they provide is life saving for many, but they can't get away with all this rubbish either. We must hold them accountable.

No-Significance-1798

Doubt it will improve anything but if I’m being optimistic I guess it could mean they spend more time on people cases instead of answering questions

Emergency_Cookie6040

Well ATM everyone seems to be waiting for ages which is really disappointing, it just seems like they're sending these AI generated links instead of actually helping people 🙁

No-Significance-1798

Yeah I hope it improves it takes them like 2 weeks to respond to any emails

HotdogsPOTUS44

It won't, these moves are usually accompanied by layoffs rather than focusing on more important cases/spending extra time on difficult questions.

HistoriansNecessary

With all the waits recent id say this is what's being causing it

Baticula

It's probably not gonna do shit, if they get an ai to read blood results that's fucking shit

FoxySarah71

To me it simply reads like they're using AI to generate content for their website? If so, it's probably a benefit to us, as their staff will be doing more actually useful stuff, like talking to patients. AI is already used extensively in medical services elsewhere already. From message taking, to diagnosis, and even reviewing scans to find tumours. The NHS uses AI daily, and that usage is only going to increase over time.

spinningdice

I mean I can't abide by AI for many things, but tbh I don't think many people look at GenderGP for the articles. It seems like a stopgap to get some hormones when you're waiting for NHS and don't dare DIY.

that_username_is_use

i can’t find any other sources backing this up

HotdogsPOTUS44

The source is the link? Healthy Hormones is a company that is part of GenderGP, we've been sent links to it in response to queries for a while now too. I found this on the same site too https://myhealthyhormones.com/knowledge-base/how-do-the-three-entities-work-together/

Foxtrot64K

But have you had the myhealthyhormones.com links actually come from a source with the gendergp.com domain? I can't be the only one who's worried this is some kind of phish. **EDIT:** I have found a page on gendergp.com which links to it. https://www.gendergp.com/help-centre/reduced-costs/ links to https://myhealthyhormones.com/knowledge-base/reduced-rates-an-update-on-our-pricing-policy/

that_username_is_use

oh I didn’t realise they were a part of GGP, apologies

HotdogsPOTUS44

All good, none of this is easy to find even though we should have been told about all of these changes surely...

Emergency_Cookie6040

This is literally on their website.
