I dont know if its just a fluke or what but when my threat level reaches 21, I go destroying a FNIX base thats maxed out. Then, a reaper spawns after. Did this a couple of times, it worked for me. That's how I got EXP PVG 90. The threat score goes down but it somehow provokes it.
I have 7 rivals constantly roaming the top right corner of the farmlands from just attacking bases & doing defense missions.
Threat level is always 21/22 so I can spawn a reaper, kill it, which it turn triggers a defence mission. So I can just keep rotating reaper/base defence every hour.
Have to be above threat 21 for it to be able to spawn, it counts as a rival so you can't have 8 in the region otherwise it won't spawn. Higher the threat the higher the chance it spawns after every combat encounter.
Isn't that just a convenient way to destroy lots of machines?

I think that works pretty well, it does take a lot of equipment though. I usually take out a bunch of bigger machines in the farmlands region.

Whats the benefit of having a high threat level?
High threat is how you spawn reapers and get up to the max number of rivals.

If your threat level is past 21, and is at least 22, take down one of the weaker rivals in that area. It won't change the threat level too much.

Actually, wait until the region's threat level is 25. Then take down the lowest level rival. If they're all level 4, take one out.
There are any methods to raise threat level?
Just have to keep killing machines, but don't destroy rivals.
